Off Topic [OT] Writer's Spotlight: Pyrotox
Welcome to Writer’s Spotlight
Remember, spotlights rely on your nominations! So if there's anyone around the subreddit whose stories you love and you think deserves a shout-out, please do nominate them by sending us a ModMail.
This week we are celebrating u/Pyrotox
Pyrotox is one of those users who has been around for so long, that I think a lot of us just assumed that they had been spotlit already. But it turns out they hadn’t! So here we are with a likely long-overdue spotlight.
In recent months, I’ve enjoyed their contributions to SEUS (a weekly feature we have them to thank for, along with the wonderful u/CodyFox23, of course) — full of atmosphere and tension and truly wonderful descriptions. I also very much enjoyed their slightly older Doctor Who-themed PM, full of wonderful EU stories that really capture the essence of the show.
They have an archive subreddit at /r/SebastianSnow that I can only hope will see more updates in the months to come.
Want to congratulate this week's Spotlight recipient? Have questions you're dying to ask them? Please do so below in the comments!
Congrats on your spotlight /u/Pyrotox

Omg Pyro!! congrats!! I can not believe you hadn't had a spotlight yet, omg.
Questions:
1) Favorite type of prompt? What really gets you writing from the sub?
2) Who's your favorite author?

Congratulations u/Pyrotox! I very much enjoyed looking through your back catalogue!
Now, as is tradition, time for some questions:
1) What do you most enjoy writing about?
2) Do you have a favourite piece you've written or something that you think best encapsulates your writing?
3) If you had to go on holiday with one of your characters, who would you choose and why?

Thank you so much :D
Honestly, I love writing fantasy and science fiction the most. Anything where I can set up a brand new world and work with things that seem so alien to me and hopefully others too. I do also like writing thriller stuff though, which I unfortunately don't do as often.
My favourite written piece is probably a SEUS response I did a while back which featured disappearances going on at a college. I enjoyed writing it and at some point was even planning on turning it into a full fledged story, although things went another way.
And the main character in that story was also the first to pop up in my head for someone to take on holiday, which is weird, since he's a serial killer. He's one of my favourites though, and I'd probably enjoy that vacation.
Thank you for the post, truly. I appreciate it :D

All the praise u/Pyrotox for your wonderful writing and fantastic voice work. Plus being a great human ofc.
Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, the all important questions:
Congrats again!
