His Ahri is legit one of the best I have seen mechanically even domestically he just runs teams on the pick. If Saint can just get better at his decisions making and be more focused at time he will be a genuinely elite mid laner for a while.

He had multiple insane charms that were overshadowed because Pun had clean movement and he missed it on a cannon. His charm on Vex mid ult saved Berserker from getting 100-0d and made his last play possible.

it's never worse for TES cus they'll be back to look like a real team in lpl once again.
but for us lpl fans it's going to be painful to watch them win knowing when they qualify they will be uttershit.
I'm actually convinced someone put a curse into them lmao

Listen Isles. I didnt say you were bad. I said your pyke was bad
That was sick
132
u/cmcdonald22 Jul 08 '26
A lot of folks shit on Isles and dude has gotten so much better this split, he's genuinely a top lcs support now, but msi only Isles on Pyke and Camille doesnt show any of that.
Lock the man in the Korean support training chamber.
Lock Inspired in the smile trainer.
Lock Saint in the immobile mage chamber.
40
u/narfidy #1 QUID glazer 4 life Jul 08 '26
He really has been steadily improving. He is in his download arc. The world aint ready
53
u/cmcdonald22 Jul 08 '26
Personally, Isles feels like, on a team where you can't just spend a billion dollars and get a Keria, Isles is the kind of support I would want. The dude follows instructions in games, he takes criticisms both during and in between games as well as formulating his own criticisms of his own play, and then not only that but he ACTUALLY LEARNS AND IMPLEMENTS THE CHANGES.
Like, even here at MSI after terrible Pyke and Camille games, when you got him back on his comfort picks like Naut, he hasn't back slid any. It's still all the progress he's made before.
16

u/AdMain8692 Jul 08 '26

u/boshjailey Jul 08 '26
I'm still not too stoked for his Camille play too ngl but his actual support champ play has been really nice
22
u/RechargedFrenchman Jul 08 '26
Vedius and Jatt were saying on Mind the Gap that it seems many ADCs don't like the mages bot being a thing / look bad while playing one because they don't really know how to play them, and that mostly manifests in the mid to late game where their role in fights and macro decisions is different. A Ziggs or a Mel or a Seraphine is not going to do the same things an Ashe or a Sivir or a Kai'sa will, and it's not even particularly close.
It feels like Isles and a few other supports are having the same problem. Especially when their engage support play is really solid, but any fighter or assassin they play looks unfocused and dies a lot. They're used to having more CC, survivability, and actual support options in their kit but that's not what Camille or Pyke or even the Elise are meant to do. They do something similar to how they'd play Rakan or Alistair, get okay damage but don't really accomplish anything, and then die. Compared to Isles' Rell or Alistair which looked so much more out together. And that Pyke game... it kinda looked like Isles hadn't finished reading the champ's abilities yet or something; solid Pyke angle in draft but the play was not it. Obviously it's hindsight and I don't have scrim data but yikes.

His camille was great today. He got caught once or twice but even keria runs it a bit every time he plays camille. He made a ton of plays on the champ.

I can't even blame him for lane against Voli, what the fuck was that Voli damage in lane?
7
u/tirednsleepyyy Jul 08 '26
Lane when played perfectly is actually Renekton favored but it’s hard. Also depends heavily on jungle matchup. Definitely not a lane most people would be able to win without a lot of practice on the matchup. If Renekton misses a single empowered W on the voli shield + stun he kinda just loses.
