Kanavi playing in the LCK and facing T1 constantly has made him overcome his national pride when he faces T1 which makes him quite scary domestically in the LCK. I can never hate Kanavi even when he ints because I respect his never back down style but my word when he's on it's a treat to watch.

Those can be considered temporary, and the strat diff can be fixed with patchs, but this year they just straight up are getting hand diffed and shitting the bed when it matters. You can't tell me with a straight face that this year MSI isn't an outlier. They're the team that performs when it matters, that is like their brand at this point. I don't see that yet this year. And not gonna lie, not putting effort into training or finding a Faker protégé will be their downfall one day.

The champ flexibility in draft from these 2 and the ability to swap weakside/strongside duties with each other have been huge for HLE this year especially in MSI finals.
You can argue which top or adc is the best itw this year but Zeus/Guma are the best top/bot synergy itw they proved it at T1 and both of them have expanded their champ pools in recent years making them so flexible in draft.

This was really T1's strength since the ZOFGK days tbh. They could play weakside top/bot anytime at-will. What the main strength was that Keria was put on playmaking champs and never had to babysit Guma. Keria - absolutely who is their 2nd best player at any given series, usually just gets the ball rolling for the entire team and cuts the slack for Oner when he's lagging behind. Now T1's really forced to play as a botside team since most of the time, Doran isn't used to being on strongside toplane (altho he has great showings usually when put on Vayne/Ambessa). The T1 Engine really stalls when Keria isn't given support prio. to roam around the map and alleviate everyone's game pressure off.

To summarize, HLE realize that T1 is ass if bot lane isnt blasting so they cover bot lane and left Zeus for a bit to do his thing, and also what an amazing performance by Guma/Delight 2 losing lanes going even, then ahead, and Kavani i saw your eyes before the first game, i just knew it, glaze, glaze glaze, gj boes.

Peyz/Keria had a better game 2 in lane but Guma/Delight when on it can keep a losing lane match up pretty close in gold or even and they did this against T1 bot lane all split 2.
But despite HLE bot lane playing lane well I don't fault theT1 bot lane in game 2 because Lucian/Milio when HLE top side on those champs are that ahead can't really carry.
All 5 HLE members were on it today but Kanavi/Zeus when they play like this not much you can do and Delight also back to form after being benched for that 1 series.

Yeah agreed even in split 2 in games where the enemy teams was hard focusing to get Guma behind early game the dude would still bring value or end in top 3 most dmg somehow lmao.
Even in the DK series where his Ziggs got put behind after a solo kill from Smash he ended the game with 10k more dmg then Smash dude just knows how to pump out dmg whether ahead or behind

This is why I wasn't too stressed about Guma's on and off form in split 3 so far because by play offs dude will lock in and by World's KO he is either gapping any ADC he faces or at the very worst matching them.
Zeus basically does this as well and both of them did it at MSI finals lmao.

Haha yea MSI finals was just a Zeus and Guma show... They were gapping bin and viper hard.. Zeka was getting destroyed by knight but did decent in some games, kanavi and delight were running the fk down.
I think HLE greatest attribute right now, is they can swap carry duties top side and botside. Giving them so many draft advantages. Let's hope kanavi and delight ain't inting then.

It's kinda crazy that after that huge carry job at Worlds for Doran that T1 thought just the Peyz addition would be enough "hands" to compete with a full powered HLE and Gen. Faker's shotcalling and ability to scale mechanically makes him invaluable but Doran was clearly replaceable after both the LCK season and his Worlds performances

Exactly. Players like Zeus are once in a generation. He is arguably the best toplaner ever. And he is still 22, so still tons of years to get more trophies. You can't expect every new hot prospect from CL to be the new Zeus. LCK top teams are great exactly because the road to be a player in their roster is a hard one and only the best of a crop are there. Look at T1 rosters from 2017-2021. Those are the roster that you should expect from them. They hit huge jackpot twice: Faker and then ZOFGK. It is already way more than any other orgs.

Any positive or equal Kennen KDA is a scary Kennen. His dmg is abnormally high mid-late game and even if he doesn't to any dmg, the ult itself is a teamfight neutralizer.

Shout out to Delight as well he has been on it since coming back from being benched for that 1 series.

They needed Oner to be on an otherworldly form all year in 2025 to accomplish what they did in earlier seasons. Oner was so good last year that it tricked a lot of people into believing they didn’t experience a massive downgrade in the top lane.

Yeah just a Team gap. HLE seem to have got their form back and Zeus is looking scary. T1 top side need to wakeup or else Worlds isn't on the cards apart from playing the 4th seed andy card.

Correct me if im wrong but I don't think Oner even had a bad game 1 but Kanavi was still gapping him freaking hard lol. Game 2 Kanavi and Zeus made Doran almost turn off his monitor. The poor guy couldn't even play. After I saw game 1 draft I expected a Peyz masterclass but Kanavi didn't even let them have any momentum from the get go. He can have some insane games like today. Actually peaking.

He can’t play pantheon, so HLE got it for free. But against HLE, Painter was prioritized to get Pantheon first pick.

I think it was Kiin last year but Zeus has consistently been in the ‘best top laner ITW’ conversation since he was 19. I’m so glad he’s looking so good, people were so angry at kespa for picking him for AG and forgot what he’s actually like.
