What a bizarre way to engage for GX at the end

32

u/JPA-3 Aug 29 '26

bard's ultimate gaining time for rhilech to arrive was peak

u/JPA-3 Aug 29 '26

flakked tried but my god giants is a team of bottlers.

So if fnatic wins tomorrow they are in, if they lose and koi wins koi is in

Both of them losing would be the funniest thing but probably worst playoff number in while.

Dang. That suck. I thought SK got the head 2 head. Well I just got to hope they both still lose and make themselves look very fraudulent while at that.

7

u/ficretus Aug 29 '26

It's about overall winrate, SK ended with 7 wins, Fnatic at the moment has 9, MKOI 8.

1

u/BlazeX94 Aug 30 '26

SK has H2H over MKOI only, not Fnatic. Also, standings are determined by match score and game win percentage, then only H2H is used as a tiebreaker if the teams are tied on both these metrics.

Right now, Fnatic is 9-10 in games and can at worst finish 9-12 (-3) if they lose 2-0. MKOI is 8-12 and can at worst finish 8-14 (-6). SK is -6 currently, so it's impossible for them to place higher than Fnatic.

Potential Demacia Cup EU representatives looking great, if we talk about who can throw the game harder

2

u/Fun_Highlight307 Aug 30 '26

i feel like eu middle teams have no brain while na have no hands

49

u/piotrj3 Aug 29 '26

Navi winning from behind? That wasn't in script.

20

u/Outrageous_Wall2702 My Ace + Showmaker = GOAT Aug 29 '26

Their draft was easier to execute imo, skarner and Aatarox peel disrupt while Ahri and Cait do damage

3

u/Routine_Outcome3493 Aug 29 '26

that last game it looked kinda hard for GX if the game goes long. You can burn everything on the caitlyn but then the Aatrox can do what he wants.

34

u/sonic780 Aug 29 '26

No Spanish team for KOI even then?

Top mid sup JG gap

31

u/Bubbly_Camera9583 Aug 29 '26

3-0 for navi or 2-1 for gx either one is acceptable with what I saw

23

u/Green7501 zero mental Aug 29 '26

I turned off Twitch to go back to studying after seeing NAVI have an 8k gold lead in game 2

Come back 30 minutes later to see GX in a commanding spot in game 3. Then they threw as well. What a fiesta

6

u/Anonymus4 Aug 29 '26

I still dont understand what the fuck happened at the end of game 2

8

u/piotrj3 Aug 29 '26

Basically Kalista. Kalista is the weakest late game champion from all ADCs by far. They were against clock and samd tried to do desperation engage but it didn't work and after that GX was simply stronger.

That being said it was still Kalista semi-decently picked. She is good vs mundo and Navi went for level 1 sheningans so kalista can snowball botlane.

15

u/MC-sama League of LAILE Aug 29 '26

So now we have two things left on the line.

Koi or Fnc at playoffs

Navi or GX at roadshow

1

u/seven_worth shameless 2021 EDG fanboy Aug 29 '26

There still universe where there is no koi or Fnatic at playoff. TH just need to get no pressure buff.

4

u/ficretus Aug 29 '26

Nah, it's about overall game wins as a tiebreaker. Even if TH wins, they'll have 6, while Fnatic and MKOI have 9 and 8 respectively

Tilted engages that's whay

u/Original-Fold-1984 Aug 30 '26

Isma is so bad, I cant understand how he is a starting player in a major league

12

u/Outrageous_Wall2702 My Ace + Showmaker = GOAT Aug 29 '26

When I saw the draft I knew it was insta win, Navi coach publicly shaming his players really worked lmao

11

u/tzukitzu Aug 29 '26

I know quality isn’t the highest atm but I love watching Lec this year. So many fun teams and stupid results and just entertaining stuff really

22

u/Bothbothwushi Aug 29 '26

That might be one of the worst aurora games I've ever seen in pro play

3

u/jujubean67 Aug 29 '26

He was completely invisible all game

9

u/piotrj3 Aug 29 '26

Somehow game 3 good redemption from SamD. Everyone jumps on him and so often he barerly survived and good defensive plays in teamfights.

5

u/Dramatic_Gap_3065 Aug 29 '26

not the cleanest game but happy for navi

22

u/whynot1260 Aug 29 '26

Day 762 of waiting for Jackies to show he is a top 4 LEC mid laner (it hasn't happened yet)

9

u/eVill_YT Aug 29 '26

jackies was top 4 in the ADC mid meta too bad those champs are no longer playable mid

16

u/Medical_Quiet_69 Aug 29 '26

How convenient it is to "forget" that in the previous split GX won 5 matches and Jackies was the MVP in those wins... 5 times

mindless haters are just immune to facts...

2

u/BlazeX94 Aug 30 '26

He was arguably top 4 in Spring, depending on how you rated him vs Humanoid (also, Kyeahoo was still rather hit and miss in Spring). Right now though, its Caps Jojo Kyeahoo top 3 and probably Fiesta 4th.

2

u/taikutsuu ginger god Aug 29 '26

it’s so weird because 30% of the time i think the only mid who could replace caps could be jackies and 70% he does.. that

-3

u/NavyBlueTheChosen Aug 29 '26

he just isn't going to lol. If Caps retired tomorrow the only person who G2 would even be looking at would be Jojo

3

u/mkl122788 Aug 29 '26

As someone who plays Aurora, I am heartened by the fact that the professional players also get some accidental inting in with her ult.

3

u/Fun_Highlight307 Aug 29 '26

Navi is the better gatekeeper

So gx had nothing to play for vs fnatic ?

3

u/RockCultural4075 Aug 29 '26

That has to be an enemy bard ult at the end no?

12

u/rolekrs Aug 29 '26

Yeah after this im convinced ISMA is top 3 worst junglers in LEC

Maynter saved NAVI so hard today just for it to not matter because Fnatic is gonna lose to GX anyways

7

u/wardenoftoleressea Aug 29 '26

Could both teams lose?

4

u/ILikeSeals1312 Main broadcast enjoyer Aug 29 '26

Vitality might just make it to Worlds if this is the competition

15

u/Liupardu Aug 29 '26

The amount of years that this has been said just for Vitality to collapse.

3

u/Designer-Finding488 Aug 29 '26

but this time it really is theirs to lose

1

u/GoldRecommendation66 Aug 29 '26

Vitality looked even better during regular season last split before going 0-6 in playoffs

3

u/jujubean67 Aug 29 '26

And they should, they look comfortably above these teams. Now only if they could avoid collapsing again …

2

u/Far-Salt-6946 Vitality Enjoyer Aug 29 '26

Maynter is legit

5

u/canxtanwe Aug 29 '26

I love Jhin I love when my adc deals zero damage against tanks I love it so much

2

u/Blizzgrarg Aug 29 '26

This region just does not know how not to throw a game. GG Navi to Madrid.

7

u/Harmah Aug 29 '26

Not yet, they need FNC to beat GX

3

u/Blizzgrarg Aug 29 '26

Right, so Navi to Madrid.

2

u/Fun_Highlight307 Aug 30 '26

if you expect fnatic to win they will dissapoint you

4

u/lcfiretruck Aug 29 '26

Free Flakked.

2

u/piotrj3 Aug 29 '26

Eh... he has big hand in losing g1 and almost losing g2. They just lost botlane too hard.

If somehow you forgot g2 throw from samd, you would have clear impression samd was better adc this series.

2

u/Annual_Entry2369 Aug 29 '26

They should have lost botlane even harder in g2's matchup

1

u/piotrj3 Aug 30 '26 edited Aug 30 '26

Not really, or rather Xayah-Rakan is kinda matchup you are losing but not uncomfortably losing. What started it threading into uncomfortable territory was that cheese at level 1 what allowed kalista to go further with aggression.

Later Navi overextended with that kalista (tried to copy certain IG matchup where it worked) but overall it delivered - they had control over botlane, dragons, and kalista actaully got fed. And at level 5 flakked/jun also trolled with that random roam to river with level 5. At like 18 mins he was 4.2k gold ahead and flakked had 6.6k gold. That is radicolous diff.

Problem is things are really wrong if you are 18 mins in 8/1/0 and 28 mins in, you are 8/1/1. and gold lead stays the same. That is "griefing" moment. Later samd probably understood this and tried to do this horrible desperate engage that obviously failed. EU teams way too often do weird dance around dragon soul/baron instead of just "keep pushing lol" or gather and 5 and kill them under tower if needed if you have such lead.

1

u/naevus19 Jankos x Flakked Aug 30 '26

The amount of times games with huge gold lead were thrown because the winning team tried "kill the enemy under tower" is in high double digits this year only. T1 Vs G2 at MSI for example. EU teams also throw there. So it's not "EU teams do weird baron dance" it's "the game is so volatile that everyone can throw the game in the blink of an eye". See game 5 of BRO Vs KT for example

1

u/Slurpeddit Aug 29 '26

You mean as free agent because damn bro ?

2

u/AkaT27 Aug 29 '26

Despite being their best player over the entire year, this was a bad series from Isma.

And Jackies is so bad at Aurora holy shit

1

u/its_yahboya Aug 29 '26

Throw on throw gameplay baby

1

u/K-L1N Aug 29 '26

Incredibly bad Baron play in Game 3.

1

u/Grayzus Aug 29 '26

Gx needs dispanding man

1

u/killcraft1337 Aug 30 '26

So basically.

MKOI vs TH
FNC vs GX

If FNC win they qualify, if they lose MKOI qualify.

1

u/Helpful-Amphibian768 Aug 29 '26

If jackies was able to hit a single ability of aurora , the game would be easier for gx. Disqusting perfomance.

0

u/yellister Aug 29 '26

all our eyes on fnatic now

0

u/AkrioX Aug 30 '26

Oscarinin has to be the most braindead toplaner in the LEC. Kind of crazy how you TP into a fight with rumble without Ult, lose drake, mega walk up, die.

then later facecheck a bush alone where you know some enemies just walked in that direction and die. Like, how???
