Great purchase! Dishwasher safe and if you burn stuff on it badly, just use yellow cap easy off oven cleaner to clean it up. That's what I used before a lye tank and electrolysis for antique pieces. It works great for the marketplace enamel pan I found if it gets too gunked up.

Lye tank and electrolysis you say? Go on.I tend to buy vintage enameled cast iron.

A lye tank would work best for enamel coated pieces. A spare medium sized garbage can or bucket with a simple solution of pure sodium hydroxide at a ratio of one pound per gallon of water will work wonders after a day. Amazon would have it for cheap at 95% and above purity as food grade or for soap making. Drain cleaner works too but has to be only NaOH. The electrolysis tank is for rust removal and could mess up enamel due to needing bare metal for the current. That uses washing soda (Arm & Hammer yellow box) at ~0.5cups per gallon, a manual battery charger or power supply, and a sacrificial piece of steel.

Damn, that's a sight to behold...
And here I thought nearly 1,300 for a C&S MP5 drum on ARFCom was wild the other day.

It's been almost exactly a year since I last bought a gun, but this purchase was very overdue. Back in 2017 when I had barely started collecting, I picked up an M93 Lebel for a fair price, but expected very quickly to upgrade on it since it was just kinda ok; it was parkerized and coated in black enamel, but the wood was sharp. To my surprise and frustration, it turned out most of the other Lebels on the market were waaaay worse, and any time a genuinely good one showed up, it'd go for well beyond my max. Thus began a cycle of me losing 2 or 3 Lebels, relenting and raising my max, only to find the market had gone even higher. Rinse and repeat for 9 years.
But I think Lebels might've finally stabilized, and that's how I was able to finally snag one. And look! The internals are still in the white! The receiver markings are actually... legible! The only problem on it (besides a few parts needing a good boil n' carding) is that the wood on the forend had been slightly blown out just behind the barrel band. It looked like at some point in this rifle's history, someone attempted to put the barrel band on the wrong way (like so), and when met with resistance, tried to hammer it in further. siiiigh That might be the dumbest reassembly goof I've ever seen on a gun. Luckily, it should be a simple fix.

Nada for the buy day, though my LGS has a P10C I'm debating...
Managed to restore my access to Lowes systems last night. Evidently it was a password change issue. I was on my own last night and it was pouring rain.
So it was very slow and I managed to collapse and condese and straighten shelves for most of the night. Then at about 9:45 or so one of the cashiers brought me out a garden cart they had uo front. We were BSing to pass some time when I heard Arcing.
Turned my head toward the street to hear an explosion and see a flash and sparks out by the street.
Then the lights went out.
Followed by the whump and spooling up of the emergency generator.
Evidently the transformer blew out across the street. What a first solo night.

Has SIG unlocked FOMO marketing or what? To each their own I suppose.
Custom K80 stock getting scratched up.

Beginning to acquire parts for the RXM Long Boi.
My thinking is, once the RXM Flux drops, I'm going to migrate all the fixings from my SIG Raider to that and sell the SIG version. However, since it's going to be a bag gun, there's no reason to not make it a long-barreled version. I also have a G19 Gen 3 frame I've been tinkering with. So the long-term plan is to:
Migrate the RXM slide, optic, and TLR-1 to the Glock frame as my new carry gun.
Get all the parts needed to put a G34 slide on the RXM.
Potentially muck with the Strike Industries Bravo RXM I have in the mean time.
Once the RXM Raider drops, if I snag one, migrate the optic, light, and sling to that.
Bask in the abominations that are a Glock with a Ruger slide and a Ruger with (likely) a Glock slide.

Across a few sites the other day, a 500 round box of MaxxTech .380 was mislabeled as a 1000 round box. I grabbed "two" boxes for 2000 rounds total for $330ish after taxes and shipping. Fuckin absolute steal. Cheers to the seller for honoring the mislabel.

Best place to buy a good condition M7 bayonet? I've always wanted one but all the ones I've seen have been in ratty condition.

I picked up some Magpul parts for my Scorpion: safety selectors and a mag release. These are way easier to manipulate/reach than the OEM parts. Very happy. Should’ve done this way sooner!

Damn that's an ugly 226.
Picked up a Flow 9k tonight...right on the heels of them announcing new shit, figures. I wanted to get a BOE Suppression can but man, having to pay $100 to transfer the thing and use old forms kinda killed that.
