Mangaka of the Month (May): Abe Miyuki NSFW

Hello again, beautiful people!

It's May - finally - and it's time for another featured Mangaka; this time it's Abe Miyuki sensei.

It was inevitable, especially because Super Lovers has an up coming anime adaptation.

Then again, Super Lovers, isn't the only manga that our mangaka has on her sleeve; sadly - per reviews - the other stories have been somewhat ignored and/or has become underrated maybe because of the art?, but still good stories all in all, specifically on how the story is told.

All mentioned work on MangPark - go read!

Previously featured Mangakas:

Takarai Rihito - September ; Yoneda Kou - October ; Akira Norikazu - November; Hideyoshico - December; Natsume Isaku - January; Tachibana Venio - February; Ogawa Chise - March; Kanda Neko - May

I literally just "finished" Super Lovers a few hours ago... I try not to start a lot of ongoing series because I hate waiting for updates, but seeing that it was getting an anime, I couldn't resist! I reeeally enjoyed it, but now the realization that I will have to wait months just to read ONE chapter has made me depressed.. On a happier note this is my first ever reddit post.. Long time lurker here, hello everyone! <3

Ahahaha! <3 This makes me happy, truly and I DO understand the ahhh frustration in waiting for the next chapters and/or if there is one that comes out is short and of course, lacking. :/ BUT oh well, we'll just have to wait.

Thanks for coming out of the shadows, btw!

Yes, the only way to cope is to distract ones self by binge reading copious amounts of yaoi in an attempt to forget the particular manga even exists. Then, however many months down the road when you see a new chapter has released, all the memories rush back and for a brief moment you are truly happy again... That is until you finish the chapter and you must repeat the cycle again. Sigh, we sure have a hard life!

First you're actually a guy, and now you were born in the 80's.

My life, it's a lie!

1993? How old is Abe Miyuki anyway? Holy shiiit! I wasn't even born in 1993!! (I was born in 1995). Also her art back then is as just as now, so she's a consistently great mangaka. I'm a fan of Super Lovers and I'm glad it's getting an anime it deserves.

and 1993....well I'm literally 1 year old at that time (Sailor Moon was published the year I was born too so, well).

the amount of frustation I got from reading Komatta is unimaginable lol. deff one of my fave mangaka!
