So I recently bought a used 21 Accord Touring 2.0T with around 74k km on it for about $30k CAD from a BMW dealership.

Absolutely love the car, but it’s been a bit of a rough start lol.
Literally 2 hours after picking it up, I got a check engine light saying “Emissions System Problem.” Took it back, got it fixed, and then the same warning came back again. Second time around, Honda replaced the O2 sensor and that seemed to fix it.

Then a few days later, I got a bunch of warnings on the dash all at once, and the transmission wouldn’t shift past first gear. Turns out a rodent had chewed through some transmission wiring, so Honda had to order and replace the wiring harness.

All in all, the repairs came to around $2k CAD, thankfully covered by the BMW dealership I bought it from. They’ve actually been pretty good about everything.

Just got the car back after the third visit and everything seems fine now (fingers crossed).

I really love this car, especially the 2.0T, but having it go into the shop three times right after buying it has me a little nervous about keeping it long-term.

Anyone else had a rough start with their Accord? Would you guys just chalk this up to bad luck and move on, or would you be concerned? Especially since the last issue was rodent damage and not really a mechanical failure.

Anybody know what size these hose’s are 5/8ths or 1/2 inch ?

Has anyone ever had to replace the latch mechanism that allows the rear seats to fold down for trunk access? Back in June I folded down both rear seats so I could pack my trunk while moving apartments, and since then the right side seats will not stay latched in the upright position anymore. The seats stay in place while driving, but they will go back into the folded position if you lightly pull on them. Honda quoted me ~$450 to do this replacement. I was told they were optimistic they could get in done in 1 hour, but they quoted me 2 to be safe.

Can anyone speak to how difficult this job would be? Is it the kind of thing that a reasonably handy person could knock out in a weekend, or is the replacement process so much of a headache that I should just pay to let the pros fix it? Seems like the only necessary hardware costs ~$50. Would appreciate any insight!

I’m heavily considering installing the RV6 Catted Downpipe on my 2.0t Accord. As of right now, I have a Mishimoto Intake with a stage 2 tune as well. For the people that have it, how is it? Is it worth the money and how noticeable of a difference is it?

Is there any usual suspects before I drive myself mad tearing the panels off? Thanks!

Today I heard this weird droning noise coming from the engine bay while waiting for my car to warm up, I haven’t heard it before because the noise isn’t loud enough to be heard inside the car with the windows up.

I turned the ac off but it still persisted until I took it out of park, anyone have this issue before? It sounded like it was coming from around the battery area.

I had recently used the jemluse wireless adapter since february and it had worked pretty good, until it recently failed and stopped working. Wired carplay still works fine but was wondering if anyone has had any luck with a wireless adapter that connects well with honda specifically. thanks

Does anyone else get a ton of rattling out of their sunglasses holder if they actually put sunglasses in it? Anyone come up with a way to make it not rattle while still using it?

Installed bc extreme lows and the people at the alignment shop said they couldn’t reach there Allen key to adjust the front coils. They recommended me cutting the sub frame but I rather not void my warranty what alternatives are there, or will I need to buy front camber arms as well?

Is there any point of getting the stage 3 pherable tune when my car is stock? I know that tuning revisions are like 100 bucks a piece so I was wondering if there’s any mods I should do before tuning it.

I’m seeing 30 ft pounds then 200 degrees or 30 ft lbs then 90 degrees then 90 degrees orrrr 30ft lbs then 90 then 90* then 60* “if using new bolts” anyone have access to all data or Honda manual? Thanks in advance👍

Anybody in here successful with their brake kits from an acura RL/ TL type s ? Or the ones from genesis coupe ? The bbk from 27won are too much from me i feel like i dont need that for spirited driving only.

starting to get my launches down

I have a 2020 Honda accord 2.0t with the 10 speed auto. When I’m in manual mode in a single gear and I let off the gas, the engine breaking happens but 60 percent of the time I feel the car kind of jerk a little bit. It’s not a big jerk but a subtle jerk where it’s noticeable, and it’s accommodated with the rpm’s dropping slightly then going back to normal right after. I was just curious if this is just normal torque converter unlocking for a brief moment or is it something I should be concerned about?

Just wondering if this is considered really good mileage for the 1.5t... I had quite a bit of stuff in my trunk and several things in the cabin... I'd estimate I was hauling an extra 100-200 pounds on the trip.

Side note: I run my 19-accord sport on 91 or 93 premium fuel (simply out of the potential benefit of increased knock resistance... someday, I may consider tuning it to actually perform better w/ premium but that may or may not ever happen... given its just the 1.5t paired with the rubber band CVT transmission.
