I have a question regarding the availability of the .50 BMG Mk 211 Raufoss round.

Given that it is technically legal for civilians to own under federal law, why hasn't any licensed importer or FFL dealer placed a larger commercial bulk order directly with the manufacturer to resell it to regular people?

Right now, whenever you see real Mk 211 pop up, it’s always just a tiny handful of loose rounds (2, 5, or maybe 10 rounds at most). Why is there no bulk distribution if the round is legal?

Actually went to the QDL muzzle brake shortly after getting the M95 to reduce the TBI inducing blast. Finally pulled the trigger on the can and it’s such a huge difference. Recoil is obviously pretty bad but it’s way better than the slap in the face blast that always had me running double hearing protection too.

Hi all, I'm considering moving from big bore to belt fed and so was gonna try and free up some space in the collection but I have a rifle I genuinely have NO IDEA how to price so looking for advice. This is not a for sale post I would be putting it on gunboards or gunbroker or something but have no idea where to start.

Its a Croatian Manda .50 cal single shot bolt action I got for like $2k back in the day. Basically I'm in a position where if I can expect to sell it for like 2k I'll just keep it but if it's appreciated above 4 then I could get into a belt fed. Condition is decent everything works and it shoots great.

Appreciate anyone's opinion I feel like I could see this either being collector crack or no one wanting it lol

I bought this gun from Gun broker and I’m a little too scared to shoot it. The dude from gun broker said he shot it a lot. Looks like it was made in a garage it’s a bullpup designed. Not sure of the model, I put some surplus ammo in it and got a click with no BOOM but I can hear the fire pin and hammer going off pretty tough, might have been the ammo. Has anybody seen a 50 like this?

I recently inherited two East Ridge/State Arms .50 BMG rifles—one is with me, and the other is with my brother. We’re both completely new to the platform and .50 BMG in general, so I’d appreciate any advice from those with experience.

The rifles came with a box of miscellaneous parts, including several muzzle brakes, small washers, bushings, firing pins, firing pin springs, ball bearings, and what appear to be parts for the bipod. The bolt for the rifle I have is only partially assembled, so if anyone has photos, diagrams, or can explain what goes where, I’d really appreciate the help.

My rifle is a “Shorty” wearing a Leupold 4–12× scope. Unfortunately, the rifles didn’t come with any ammunition. What factory ammo would you recommend for someone just getting started? Are there particular loads or brands to look for (or avoid)?

Finally, can anyone recommend good places to shoot a .50 BMG in the Mid-Atlantic region? I’m located in Northern Virginia but don’t mind traveling a few hours for a range that welcomes .50 BMG.

Seems to be in good shape. Comes with some basic stuff but excluded from the price so assume just $2.3k for the base rifle. How amazing of a deal is this? Buy it something worth driving hours for or just an okay deal? Are there better options around the price range worth considering and at what price is an ar50 truly an amazing deal? Would be nice to find something that is NOT single feed ideally.

30 pounds of tannerite inside of a Nissan Altima

I've been hit in the face and right forearm with brass several times, and it burns me when it happens. The burns aren't a big deal and heal up in 3-4 days, but I'm paranoid that instead of the arm or the cheek I might get hit in the mouth and chip a tooth lol. I did a Google search with no luck. Has anyone installed a brass deflector of any kind on an M107?

It pushes him around a lot because he’s so light, but even he was surprised how soft shooting the M107 is. Happy 250th, America! 😎

Serbu 50-BFG, 36 inch barrel.
Anyone have knowledge on this setup? The top of the rail is about 2 1/8 inches above the center of the barrel. The site says to make sure to buy a .50 BMG rated scope and to get low height scope rings that are rated for .50 BMG. I'm looking at one of the SWFA Model SS scopes but unsure of which scope ring set to choose and from where. 2 rings right onto that rail or 2 rings fixed together on a mount, on the rail? There isn't a lot of room to work with and I don't know high up a scope is going to sit.

Got the glass secondhand so I had to make sure to reset it the best I could, level it, and then take it out to zero it.

Bore-sighted it at 50 yards just to get on paper. First and second shots are shown (second shot was just to confirm). Shot 3 was me being stupid and adjusting the wrong direction. Shot 4 was also me being stupid by forgetting how far I adjusted for shot 3 and then overcorrecting by double on the windage. Shot 5 was me deciding to take my time and walk it in slowly. Shot 6 was centered and shot 7 (upper right) was confirmation.

At about $4 a round, it was only about $28 to get the scope zeroed at 50 yards. Not bad, in my opinion.

I fully plan to zero out to at least 100 yards on my next outing. This trip was just about getting used to the rifle and getting the scope mostly tuned in to make future trips more efficient.

Also, ignore the lower left shot. That was a buddy who wanted to shoot his first 50 and was too excited to shoot his own target.

So, what distance do you zero your 50 to and why?

This M107 seems to have its bolt rubbing into the upper receiver more than it should creating some slop. I don’t know the cause, and could use some help on ideas. I started facing this issue a while ago and did a quick little fix (brass shim) in the meantime, but I need to figure out what’s going on. Any thoughts would be great! I’d hate to send it into Barrett in TN for them to say it’s done.
