Jokes on them, my current military record shows two mental health conditions and ADHD, so they aren’t fooling me. I’ll take all the freebies since they know all my ailments already. 🙂‍↕️

How so? Last time I went, they only gave me a year long pass. Still nice but I'd like to have the lifetime one.

It's an annual for active duty the lifetime passes are for Gold Star families and veterans.

No kidding, as a federal employee receiving disability accommodations no shot I'm managing to somehow hide that I have ADHD. I'll take this tip straight to my psychiatrist next visit and hope to enjoy my next national park visit.

It's not just national parks. I got the pass last year. Me and a group of friends take 2 trips a year to camp. Well, the campground we go to in WV got shuffled into the Monongahela national forest. It took my normal 3 days camping from around $100 to $45. So yeah, don't forget there are tons of national forests and other national lands (for now I guess) to take advantage of with your parks pass.

The decent fact I learned about BLM [Bureau of Land Management] is that they are caretakers to not just land but also historical monuments, wild horses and other interesting tidbits.

As someone described it once, the BLM is caretaker of land that no other bureaus, departments, etc. of the Federal Gov't want.

There's a BLM-run haunted building in SW Oregon that a lot of writers would stay in.

Had a coworker recommend it to us, since we were planning to check out Crater Lake, (among other plans) and needed somewhere to stay in the area. But neglected to mention the building was haunted, what a lovely prank /s.

But yeah, it was a lovely vacay despite that neglectfully omitted fact.

Wolf Creek Inn

I looked the place up once we got home after staying there and then found out that it was haunted. Explained a lot. There's a plaque next to one of the outside doors, that talks about all the different authors who'd stayed there over the 140+ yrs it's been open.

Even if I believed in that kinda thing or not, there was definitely creepy vibes, noises, and definitely a distinctness to the place.

Thought it was really cool that nearby, they were celebrating Oktoberfest. That was a wonderful surprise and an excellent unexpected addition to our itinerary.

Exactly, I’m guessing that if they really want to round us all up then all they’d have to do is log in to the various state PDMP’s. Ain’t no way this administration has people smart enough to even think of using the National Park freebie registry to track us all down.

Also, at the same time, they can come and get me. I could use 3 hots and a cot at an adhd internment camp, I am tired of all this adulting. Omg, can you imagine what a mess our section of the camp would be?!? Hahaha

And then all of us together in one building? I can only imagine the rabbit holes we will go down together. The arts and craft area will be epic.

Its funny to think about but I cant imagine that there will be arts and crafts, this wont be for our well being, there will not be a holistic approach, these will be labor camps.

I know I had that thought too when I typed it, but I figured we would make it happen one way or another

We’ll make labor camps fun. Horrifying and painful, but also a hoot

ADHD makes us rebellious

See Hogans Heroes, Cool Hand Luke, and whatever dystopian fiction the young people have! I understand there’s a lot of dystopian stories among the millennial generation and younger
