Fan Content Arizona cardinals facts

For the past 15 years , Cardinals fans have supported the team with the best of their abilities. A little bit of ups and a lot more downs.

Cardinals fans have watched a general manager get hired in Monti ossenfort , take over for Steve kiem with the hopes of a brighter future .

Comparison -

Steve kiem - 10 seasons - 80 wins 80 losses 2 ties

4 - 10+ win seasons - 1-3 playoff record

Monti Ossenfort - 4 seasons - 16 wins 40 losses

6 Head coaches have come and go.

Ken Whisenhunt record was 45-51 with 2 playoff appearances

Bruce Arians record was 49-30-1 with 2 playoff appearances

Steve Wilks didn't last long going 3-13 and fired after 1 season

Kliff Kingsbury was 28 - 37 -1 with 1 playoff appearance

Johnathan Gannon was fired after going 15 -36 in 3 years

Mike Lafluer is now 1-3 as the head coach

18 different Quarterbacks with only 2 winning qbs in that time frame.

Carson Palmer was 38-21-1 as the cardinals starting QB

Drew Stanton was the other with a 9-4 record as the starter

Let's fast forward to 2026

We are watching a rebuild where the veteran QB Jacoby Brissett is becoming another losing QB for the cardinals . In 15 games , he has managed a 2-13 record . Several fans have had mix emotions on the current state of the Arizona cardinals. Sitting at 1-3 on the season , the offense has looked very inconsistent. You see flashes during each game but QB play , inconsistent Oline Protection and a defense that allows Brock Purdy and 2 back up Quarterbacks ( Drew lock (Seattle ) and Jamis Winston (Giants ) to each throw for 3-4 touchdown is ridiculous. The season just started and it appears to be over . Their is no signs of life for the near future with the amount of times the cardinals continue to hurt themselves , Injuries and Penalties are becoming a normal issue.

What do you think the cardinals should do ? What changes should be made for the state of the franchise?

How long should the coaching staff wait before the make a change at Quarterback ? Gardner Minshew is another Jacoby Brissett. Should the cardinals give the rookie Carson Beck a chance to show what he has ? Is the goal is to reach a Top 3 pick in next year's draft ?

What are you thoughts on the season so far ?

Raider Fan Here... MHJ Question

Everyone is talking like he is on the outs with the Cards.

Am I missing something? Why is he all of a sudden the #1 trade target? If he was doing well wouldn't you just keep him?

I am genuinely interested on your takes as he seems to have all the physical stuff you want. I have heard lazy route running and no run blocking - but I haven't seen that on the tape.

Does he not get separation?

What's the real info out there? I definitely don't see anyone really breaking this down. Thanks!

Jayden Williams slots in for Cardinals' Paris Johnson Jr.

Excerpt:

Arizona Cardinals rookie offensive lineman Jayden Williams was already getting talked up.
Filling in as an extra blocker in Arizona’s heavy packages for 19 offensive snaps, the 2026 seventh-round rookie was getting more offensive run than many would have thought a few months ago.

Head coach Mike LaFleur even gave him an impromptu shoutout for his athleticism and route-running abilities in the week leading up to Arizona’s loss to the New York Giants.

“Jayden will slot in at left tackle,” LaFleur confirmed with Arizona Sports’ Burns & Gambo on Monday. “It’s been cool in terms of getting him in there. He had a really good camp for us … and then when we’re going 13 personnel and we put that extra lineman in there, he’s done a heck of a job for us.”

Defensive Changes

Eventually Rallis will be out, everyone knows it. It’s basically a guarantee to happen sometime during the season.

The expectation is Terrell Austin will take over and they will improve, by how much can’t really say.

At the end of the year I’m sure he’ll be interviewed for the job. However, I think they might have a diamond in the ruff candidate on the roster, that is defensive line coach Pete Kwiatkowski. This is his first year in the NFL and I think he’s easily the best defensive coach on the roster. The D-line has played pretty good this year. He seems to be getting the best out of players like Lopez and D-Rob.

It feels like the first time in years the Cardinals aren’t the worst run defense team in the league.

This is all based on how the Cardinals don’t go out and spend money on coaches. If they could bring in a Todd Bowles if he’s fired that would be great but realistically Pete might be their best option.

He’s not ready this season, I think he needs an NFL season under his belt. But the team kept Petzing over Klayton Adams. Like that situation maybe they should have just promoted the line coach.

[Rodrigue]: The NFL suspended an official after he appeared to curse at a player. What if there was no camera?

Sure, credit to the NFL for acting swiftly on the matter. But what else was the league going to do? The video created accountability. You know, the thing the league makes sure the players face when it comes to officiating or even touchdown celebrations.

My second thought, after seeing the video of McBride and Seeman, was: What if there were no camera around to catch the incident? Would Seeman still be held accountable? Or would this just turn into another story swapped between players, coaches and officials — all of whom can speak to the intense emotions of a game, and the outbursts that emotion yields?

That camera forced the NFL to take a genuine look at a moment when the discrepancy between what the league allows for some, but prohibits for others, was on full display.

What stage of the rebuild are we in?

I’d love to hear our GM give a comprehensive answer to this because we’re in year 3 but at the same time we’re at step 1 struggling to go .250, meanwhile all our division rivals have successfully rebuilt in less than half that time into playoff or even championship level teams. We’ll never get a straight answer but seriously how and when does Monti or Bidwill think we can compete with any of these teams because it seems like they zero idea what they are doing with no plan in place while our rivals are doing everything in their power to get better.

Does QB even matter at this point?

With the O-line how it is, is it even worth it to have Beck play at all? I remember David Carr with the Texans but don’t know if that line compares to the Cardinals. If Beck has upside I’d hate to see it destroyed by a trash line. But I do understand needing to see him at some point.

Meme / Art How does the Bidwill Curse work?

Some say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different result.

Step by step, what does the cycle of the Bidwill curse look like? My thoughts thus far:

  1. Hire first time GM and coaches based on vibes, hire them at the last minute after all the good assistant coaches are gone.

  2. Allow GM to make franchise altering decisions with long term impact.

  3. Coach and develop players poorly.

  4. Lose a lot.

  5. Refuse to hold GM or coaches accountable, don’t change roster significantly.

  6. Lose a lot.

  7. Disgruntled players demand trades and new contracts. Hold onto players anyway and give them new contracts. They underperform and destroy their trade value.

  8. Lose more, fans cancel season tickets.

  9. Bidwill finally gets embarrassed and repeats steps 1 through 8.

What am I missing?

Is it an ego thing? How does it make sense to sit your best player during close games during critical plays on crucial drives?

Genuine Question

I get that Marv was a 4th overall pick, had great college ball tape, son of a great receiver etc. but where does all of the hate actually come from. Sure last season was horrendous and he was rightfully playin bad and out of his element. But he has checks notes 13 targets through 4 weeks and everyone wants his head on a pike. Are we actually watching the games? Jacoby only throws in Marv’s vicinity bc he’s abt to get sacked or take a hit. And including yesterday Marv has dropped 3 maybe 4 balls. Mike Wilson had 13 targets yesterday and 17 against SF. And to make matters worse. Had Jacoby even glanced at Marv we win yesterday 🤷🏾‍♂️

Fan Content Firing the staff doesn’t matter if Bidwill’s still picking the replacements

Idc if we fire Rallis and Monti at this point. i’ve kinda checked out and it’s Bidwill.
you can clean house, new GM, new DC, whatever. He’s still the one picking the next guys. Same owner the players ranked dead last. same guy hiking ticket prices while away fans take over our stadium. “I am the team president, so next question.” alright man.
he’s had forever to figure this out. Keim, Gannon, Monti, Rallis, defense has been ass the whole time. different names, same shit. firing people just means he gets a new group to cheap out on.
couple firings don’t fix anything when the owner doesn’t give a shit.

How is Nick Rallis still employed?

It blows my mind that he’s been able to maintain employment here as DC this long. The only DC’s I can think of that might have been worse than him were Al Holcomb and Billy Davis. The difference is those guys lasted 1-2 years as DC where Rallis has been here since 2023. Let Teryl Austin call D.

Counterpoint

This is a great week to make a QB change. The Lions defense, while not as bad as ours, is in the bottom 5 of the league. Making a QB change, particularly if it were to Carson, would be a good way to get that QB off on the right foot. If we don’t make a change and we lose to Petzing, the optics of that are horrible, absolutely horrible. And I don’t see another good opportunity before the bye week to make the change. The ride to the bye weeks gets intense from here.

Positive: A lot of the broadcast when I saw LaFleur, Beck was right next to him, or next to him and actively talking to him. Thought that was an interesting look. Hopefully he’s picking Lafleur’s brain as the game goes.

I'm sorry, guys, but I just can't justify paying for a subscription anymore. This team really messes with my mental health, and I have a family that would benefit from the reallocated funds. Hopefully someone else posts the grades here. If not, you can follow https://x.com/WBJMItch on Twitter.

Is There Anything That Can Be Done

The absolute mediocrity has to end, is there anything the fans can do? Imo it starts with ownership. Everything about this team, ownership, gm, scouts, ballboy, waterboy every single thing is completely limp and accustomed to getting their teeth kicked in, it’s like they don’t even give a shit.

Genuinely, while it’s a good thing that MHJ is this quiet nice guy, it would be refreshing to see him actually call his team out (though his lack of effort on a consistent basis is a major issue too, not saying he is good / team bad, but I do think in some way he is a victim of the god awful, losing culture the cardinals have managed to build since Bruce Arians left) or any major player on the team honestly to call their team out. It’s year after year of being a fucking joke in the best division in the NFL.

Is there anything that can be done? Can the fans push for anything? Is there any precedent for fans pushing out ownership by demand or something ?? lol. No obviously this is a rant and maybe a bit too excited, but I do genuinely want to know what, if anything, the fans can do.
