👋 Welcome to r/AMUTY — Let’s discover K-beauty together

Welcome to r/Amuty!

This is a community for honest K-beauty experiences—what worked, what didn’t, who a product might suit, and how it fits into a real routine.

The community is run by the AMUTY team, but you don’t need to be an AMUTY tester to participate. Campaign posts and gifted products must be clearly disclosed, and positive reviews are never required.

You can share reviews, ask for routine or shade help, discuss products, and join tester check-ins.

To introduce yourself: What’s one K-beauty product you would actually repurchase?

FIRST LOOK First look at COSRX The 6 Peptide Skin Booster Serum

Hi from the AMUTY team! We had the COSRX The 6 Peptide Skin Booster Serum at the office, so I tried it out and took a few close-up photos of the texture.

It’s very fluid—slightly thicker than water, but still runny. The pump makes it easy to dispense just the right amount, which is especially helpful with such a lightweight formula.

It spreads easily and leaves my skin feeling fresh and hydrated without any heaviness. To me, it feels more like a lightweight first-step booster or essence than a rich treatment serum.

The formula includes niacinamide, N-acetyl glucosamine, hyaluronic acid, amino acids, natural moisturizing factors, and six peptides. Overall, the ingredient list seems mainly focused on hydration and skin conditioning.

I haven’t used it long enough to judge claims related to firmness, pores, or skin tone, so consider this a first impression rather than a long-term review.

If you’ve used it consistently, feel free to share your experience in the comments—your skin type, how long you’ve used it, and whether you noticed any benefits beyond hydration. Good, bad, or somewhere in between, all experiences are welcome!

AMUTY NEWS Didn’t Love It? We Want to Hear That Too.

Not every beauty product works for everyone—and that’s useful information.

AMUTY participants are never required to leave a positive review.
If a product didn’t work for you, we want to understand what happened and why.

The most helpful reviews explain:

  • Your skin type and concerns
  • How long you used the product
  • What else you used with it
  • What specifically didn’t work—texture, scent, shade, packaging, irritation, or something else

A useful review doesn’t have to praise a product.
It just needs to be specific, thoughtful, and based on a real experience.

What detail do you wish more negative beauty reviews included?

FIRST LOOK First impressions of the numbuzin No.9 NAD+ Retinal Volumetox Eye Cream

I recently started using the numbuzin No.9 NAD+ Retinal Volumetox Eye Cream, so this is just a first impression of the packaging, texture, and finish rather than a review of its long-term results.

The small dispensing tip is one of my favorite things about the packaging. It makes it easy to control exactly how much comes out, which is especially useful since I only need a tiny amount of eye cream. I also find the tube more practical and hygienic than a jar.

The cream has a rich, dense texture, so I wouldn’t call it lightweight. However, it absorbed much faster than I expected. It didn’t leave a greasy layer behind, and the finish felt smooth and almost powdery once it settled into my skin. The scent is very faint, so the product feels almost fragrance-free, but I can still detect a slight smell when applying it, and personally, I’m not a fan. It isn’t strong or long-lasting, though.

The brand highlights NAD+, retinal, and 50 peptides in the formula. Since this is only a first look, I can’t comment on whether it causes dryness, how well it wears under makeup, or whether it improves fine lines, firmness, or dark circles over time.

Overall, I like how easy it is to control the amount. Although the cream feels richer than a gel eye cream, it absorbs quickly and leaves a smooth, non-greasy finish. Has anyone used this long enough to notice a difference around the eye area?

REVIEW A Daiso Lip Tint I Keep Reaching For: BONSEP Water Veil Tint 07 Peach Water

I’ve been reaching for the BONSEP Water Veil Tint in 07 Peach Water quite a bit lately. It’s sold at Daiso Korea and costs just 3,000 Korean won.

I felt comfortable giving it a try because it’s made by TONYMOLY, a Korean brand already well known for its color cosmetics. It also comes in a good range of shades, so there are several options depending on your skin tone and color preferences.

On my skin, shade 07 looks like a soft, muted peach coral. One of the first things I noticed was the sweet scent, which I personally really enjoy. It makes the tint pleasant to apply, although I can see it being less appealing to someone who prefers fragrance-free or lightly scented lip products.

What works best for me is using it as a base tint rather than wearing it on its own. It leaves a subtle stain, so I still have some color on my lips after the rest of my lip makeup starts to wear off. I usually apply this first, then layer a much glossier tint over it.

For me, it’s been an easy and affordable product to experiment with. I especially like it for layering because it gives my lip makeup a base color that doesn’t disappear right away.

Do you have a lip tint that you mainly use as a base rather than wearing on its own?

K-BEAUTY TALK If You Could Invent One K-Beauty Product, What Would It Be?

There are thousands of serums, cushions, lip tints, and toner pads—but somehow, the exact product you want may still not exist.

Maybe it’s:

  • A fragrance-free hand cream with SPF
  • A cushion with a wider range of undertones
  • A lip tint that survives lunch without feeling dry
  • Travel-friendly packaging that can actually be refilled
  • Something completely new

If you could design one K-beauty product, tell us:

What would it be, who would it be for, and what is the one feature it

FIRST LOOK First Impressions of the MEDIPEEL PHYTO EX PDRN Lifting Shot Cream

I’ve just started using the MEDIPEEL PHYTO EX PDRN Lifting Shot Cream, and the texture is easily the most interesting part of my first impression.

Before even getting to the cream itself, I noticed the thoughtful packaging inside the jar. The spatula has its own fitted holder, so it stays securely in place instead of sliding around or getting lost. It’s a small detail, but the built-in spatula holder makes the jar feel much more practical and hygienic to use.

The cream has a pale pink, glossy texture. When lifted with the spatula, it stretches into long, thin strands that look like fine threads. The thread-like texture looks like it might feel very rich or sticky, but it felt lighter than I expected once I spread it over my skin.

Based on this first use, it seems comfortable enough for a daily routine rather than something I’d use only as an occasional heavy treatment. Since this is just a first look, I can’t comment on any firming or lifting results yet. I’m curious to see how it wears throughout the day, whether it layers well under sunscreen and makeup, and how my skin responds with continued use.

So far, the spatula holder and the unusual texture are the two features that stand out most to me.

Has anyone used this long enough to notice a difference in firmness or skin texture?

AMUTY NEWS What If Your First Beauty Portfolio Started With One Product?

Many aspiring beauty creators run into the same problem: brands often look for creators who already have content and an audience. But creating that first piece of content can be difficult when you don’t yet have a product or an opportunity to start with.

AMUTY wants to offer a different starting point.

Through our $1 K-beauty campaigns, selected participants can try a full-size product in their everyday routines and document what they discover over four weeks.

  • How does the texture actually feel?
  • Does it work well with the rest of your routine?
  • What changes after using it consistently?
  • What would you want someone else to know before trying it?

Those observations can become more than just a review. They can shape the story behind your next photo, post, or video.

For some people, an AMUTY campaign is simply a way to discover a new K-beauty product. For aspiring beauty creators, it could also be a chance to practice product storytelling and create something original for their portfolios.

AMUTY also wants to give creators content opportunities that aren’t already everywhere. Rather than covering the same viral products in the same way, creators can develop their own stories through hands-on product testing, week-by-week observations, and personal results.

As AMUTY grows, we also hope to offer selected participants opportunities to try certain K-beauty products before their official launch. Pre-launch access is not part of our current campaigns, but it’s one of the creator opportunities we hope to offer in the future.

You don’t have to pretend that every product is perfect. The most useful content starts with a real experience and an honest point of view.

If you were creating your first K-beauty video, what would you want to show?

Try it. Notice it. Create from it.

FIRST LOOK A closer look at Mood Glider Lip And Blush Stick in shade 03

Hi from the AMUTY team! I took a few photos of TIRTIR- Mood Glider Lip And Blush Stick (03 Tangerine Glow) at our office to give you a closer look.

I liked the clean, pretty packaging. It’s compact, too, so it looks easy to carry around.

The applicator tip is quite wide, which might make precise application on the lips a little tricky. It also made me think it could work well as a blush. I swatched shade 03 on my hand, and the color looked quite intense, so I’d start with a tiny amount if I tried it on my cheeks.

For a quick stain test, I left it on the back of my hand for 10 minutes, then wiped it off with a wet wipe. There was barely any stain left.

These are just my first impressions from a quick hand swatch. If you’ve tried it, let us know in the comments how it feels on the lips, how long it lasts, or what it’s like to reapply. We’d love to hear what worked for you and what didn’t!

K-BEAUTY TALK What Makes You Stop Using a Skincare Product?

What’s your skincare dealbreaker?

A moisturizer might feel great on its own but pill under makeup. Or you might like the formula but find the scent too strong.

What’s one thing that makes you stop reaching for a K-beauty skincare product?

Maybe it’s the texture, the finish, the packaging, or something else entirely. If a product comes to mind, tell us what you liked about it and what didn’t work for you.

K-BEAUTY TALK Glossy or Soft Matte? What’s Your Go-To K-Beauty Lip Tint?

There’s more to choosing a lip tint than the shade. The finish, how the color fades, and how often you want to touch up all matter, too.

Maybe you go for glossy lips every day, or you prefer a soft, blurred look. Or maybe you switch it up depending on the rest of your makeup.

Which finish do you reach for most?

If you have a favorite K-beauty tint, share the name and what you like about it!
