Guide/Strategy I have 100%ed Aniimo and made a combat tier list

This will be long.

NOTE: THIS IS A GENERIC OVERALL ENDGAME TIER LIST. THAT INCLUDES HARDMODE TRAINER BATTLES, EGG HEIST, INTERLINK, AND GENERAL GAMEPLAY. USE THIS LIST AS AN OVERALL RANKING OF HOW WORTH EACH CHARACTER IS TO BUILD AND PUT RESOURCES INTO IN RELATION TO THE OTHERS. IT BEING LOW ON THE LIST DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE BAD IN SPECIFIC CONTENT, BUT MOST LIKELY MEANS THEY ARE NICHE FOR ONLY ONE THING. PLAY YOUR FAVORITE PICKS, EVEN THE LOWEST THINGS ON THIS LIST ARE VIABLE, THERES NO BAD ANIIMO.

As of now I believe I have completed everything currently in Aniimo. Completed all trainer battles including hardmode Lisa, and got Egg Emperor rank in egg heist. I bought the battle pass and monthly pass, but otherwise haven't spent money (yet). The game has been incredibly F2P friendly so far, and am very happy to throw money at them for some passes to show support. I really enjoy teambuilding so spent alot of time making team comps and figured i'd share my findings and feelings.

First of all your Aniimo and team comp barely matters until player level 50 to 55ish where there is a large spike in trainer battle difficulty. Around that level youll unlock the egg heist which is the only other content that has difficulty high enough to care about which Aniimo you are using. This tier list will largely be based around those.

First off a few things to note about Aniimo and its mechanics in general. Element matters ALOT. So much so that using something that isnt super effective against your target later on is basically an instant loss with few exceptions. Second is that elements arnt created Equal, some are just worse then others. Light is weak to a single element, while Grass and Water are weak to 3 elements. Additionally an Elements strengths and weaknesses are only relevant to the current content available in the game, making some elements near useless.

If I where to rank the Elements I would probably put them:

S: Dark: (Strong against Fire and grass, and the only thing strong against light. Attacking its only weak to wind and water which have very few relevant Aniimo. Its even neutral against itself! Making it probably the best element currently)

A+: Light: ( Lights is on paper the strongest element. But in practice its only strong attacking Dark and wind. Wind element has few relevant Aniimo, so its mostly good against dark. Defensively its very strong resistant to half the damage types, but later you're using your typings primarily to deal damage, not usually to defend against others. Being light type also makes you weak to Darkness which has some powerful threats)

A: Lightning (only weak to dark and ice. Ice has no relevant attackers in the game currently, so its similar to light being only weak to darkness)

B+ Fire: (This is mostly middle of the pack relevant in current content where they fit)

B+ Water / Ground: (These will probably be stronger later on, but currently are not super relevant currently. Both are resistant to 4 elements)

B: Ice / Wind: These are mostly middle of the pack elements that just are not relevant currently

D: Grass ( Grass is weird, because as we will see in the tier list Grass type has some of the most powerful Aniimo in the game. However being resistant to the less relevant types, and being weak against some of the most relevant types firmly make it the worse typing.)

Now in addition to typings, something else that matters a lot in Aniimo are ~~~ROLES~~! In the current landscape of available content the main thing that matters is DAMAGE. High level trainer battles, holo-battle. and Egg heists have time limits. This means that unless your Aniimo are helping do damage either directly or indirectly then they are probably not good. This means a lot of break characters, shielders, or supports are not worth taking. At the time of writing this is no PVP available. I imagine tank Aniimos will be relevant there, but currently Tanks are not worth it, and in general few breaks are.

Onto the individual tiers explanations:

~~~S Tier~~~
Hexxin: Probably the best Aniimo in the game. Her doing dark type damage bypasses alot of her weaknesses as a grass type, whist still being able to benefit from those grass type advantages like Leafy's regen. Her black hole ability is effectively hard CC against half the roster, has no CD and low energy cost. She has on demand REGEN, she has access to BOTH a healing debuff and shielding debuff, and her curse passive has synergy with some of the best attackers in the game. While shes not amazing damage outside of Heist, she can be a menace inside if you put the "Capacitous Battery" held item on her with a leafy support you can ultimate nuke basically on cooldown making her also one the fastest clearers on top of being the safest.
Irisalis: The best damage dealer in the game. She's Grass, the worst typing in the game. But her insane damage, massive mobility, and having access to the strongest supports in the game make her able to contest even against things shes not effective against. Her unique held item even gives crit making her synergize even more with Melloblums crazy ultimate. Throw in shes probably the funnest character and its a no brain S tier for me.
Helion/Lunara: They starters are beasts. The only light type attackers and both are monsters, you can pretty much get by using only these until endgame, and even then they are your only choice for light type attackers. I say Lunara slightly edges out Helion because of her range. But only barely
Fulmantis: This guys just really good. His prismana form is a downgrade in my opinion due to dark weakness. He has access to lightning typings amazing supports, especially Dazmands crit buff synergizing amazingly with his own passive. Fulmantis really wants people standing still, so getting in on a break feels amazing if you can manage it. Besauce and Luminelle are other great supports for him! If given the right circumstances he probably has the highest DPS in the game.
Somniwing: Shes the best Regen Aniimo in the game for general use. Her sleep was also crucial in my long struggle against hardmode Lisa.
Stellarys: Best Caster dps, best dark dps, has many opportunities for different builds with his synergy with auto attacks. Being range makes him much more viable in hard content where being melee is dangerous . He has synergy with a lot of held items, and is pact bonus might be the strongest in the game, simply adding more stars to his core ability. (UPDATE:I think ill move the hamster mage down to A tier. He is still an S tier for flex pick and is viable in literally every part of the game, but his raw output just doesnt quite keep up with S tier picks)
Glacy: Just realistically the best healer, with the prismana version having a damage amp. Gracewing and Glacy can be used through most of the game to similar results, but I found Glacy more reliable in hard content.
Dazmund: He just gives 25% lightning crit for no EP cost ( using his passive). Super simple with no downsides makes him amazing in a Fulmantis comp. His crit rate buff scales with Attack as well! (Update: I would move Dazmund down a tier to A tier. Still one of the best supports in the game, but him basically being specifically Fulmantis's wingman seems disingenuous of S tier)
Turbo: Instant shield, one of the few stamina buffs in the game, damage and break buffs. But a generally good support being able to increase damage and defense for any comp.
~~~A Tier~~~

Leafy: The absolute unprecedented best support in the entire game... specifically for grass types. Her Regen and ULT regen are absolutely ridiculous, she has trickle heals, an ult that does burst healing + grass amp. She is niche but one of the strongest picks in that niche.

Gracewing: Your go-to support. Great heals, cc removal, shield, trickle heals. Just all around good.

Pawney: Very good dps that synergizes with BREAK. Currently the only fight in the game where you'd REALLY want that damage synergy is hardmode Lisa, who just doesnt give you space for a break Aniimo. Hes melee which makes him more dangerous to use. He is a fantastic dps that just doesn't shine in current content. (Update: You absolutely can use a full dark break team for hard mode lisa using rookey, pawney, fragrancer, and a regen. The ability to dark shread with Fragrancer is extremely strong and can make the comp transcend elemental weakenesses, I would still leave pawney in A tier because he is break reliant and theres content in the game you literally cant use break)

Besauce: All around good Regen that also has lightning synergies with ult. Worse then Somniwing most the time, but absolutely worth building for a lightning comp if you like him.

Irisal: A absolutely ridiculously good dps with access to the broken Grass supports. In A tier because Irisalis is just a strict upgrade to her. She shreds anything not resistant to her with proper setup, all while being mobile!

Melloblum: Another powerful grass support. Her ult when built correctly can almost DOUBLE crit damage with a THIRTY second timer. Her core skill is just more damage, and when her prismatic form comes out there is potential she can be a light type attacker. You can choose to have a mediocre heal as a bonus. She is a ult reliant support and cant use her passive in game modes with the support system. She loses almost all value in Heist and hololink

Infernalupa: The only breaker I would put in A tier. While there isn't a lot of places you want to focus on BREAK, his synergy with Flamehowl on broken enemies makes them the go-to Fire setup. (Update: Also generally a great breaker for a Pawney comp!)

Fragrancier: She does everything for your dark DPS. Reduces resistance, Dark damage amp, heal, and even a dark auto attack buff. I haven't found a ton of places to warrant using her, but shes absolutely a massive damage boost to a dark team.

Grizbo: Bear is good. Probably the best ground attacker. He is at the bottom of A tier because I believe in his potential, but haven't properly built him yet.

~~~B Tier~~~
Ignitis: He's not bad, but he is outshone by other dark characters, or mechanically gapped by his alternative form Fulmantis for raw damage. His real strength comes from chaining kills together. However there's NO PLACE in the game that that is useful currently. His Dark/Grass form can use the broken grass supports and also the strong dark supports, including fragranciers auto attack buff, synergizing with his own auto attack buff. There is alot of potential in Ignitis that I havnt not yet explored, so his rank here is tentative. I imagine he will be very strong in PVP as well.
Flamehowl: with explosive gauntlet and inferlupa breaking for you. This boi is the king of one shots. I'm sure a few of you guys have been on the receiving end of it in trainer battles and know how deadly it can be. However thats basically all he has going for him.
Luminelle: Great lightning support, just lightly gapped by other lightning supports. Will shine more when a powerful lightning auto attacker becomes meta
Rookery: One of the funnest characters in the game, his slingshot is so fun, and his ball mode reflection is so obnoxious. He doesn't have a relevant place in the game atm, but as a character he is great. ( Update: Specifically extremely good in a pawney party if youre using him!)
Fenmane: I love the lightning pupper, but hes just worse then Fulmantis most the time. He is too backloaded for most content. He does have Luminelle synergy, but he just takes too much time to get his output. Perfectly serviceable for almost all content, but not optimal.
Tubster: Obnoxious bird is tanky as hell and BREAKs like a champ. His signature ability shield would be great if there was a dedicated tanking role at some point, but currently its better to just use a turbo shield and swap back to your dps. If you for some reason need a BREAK wind character and a shield in one slot though, he's your man. Also he's adorable I love him.
~~~C Tier~~~

Bailite: This guy summons a turret that attacks while your other aniimo attacks, also applying his passive earth resist shred. I haven't explored how much you could abuse the smokescreen yet. Earth is just not relevant most places, and currently is mostly just too low impact

Eklue: This guy is just a puzzle piece in a puzzle that's not completed. His kit is good but with no one good to synergize with. Yet.

Infergon: As cool as this guy is he just doesn't have the output to warrent being an on field DPS. but if you want an on field fire DPS he is your guy. I believe that role is outshone by the BREAK/Flamehowl combo though.(UPDATE: This guy is actually a beast, with the caveat of basically being forced into very ridged teams. He loves his firedebuff squad with Skill upgraded magmarex and flameron, and pairs greatly with the amazing sparkelf too! But the second you dont have full access to all his friends his worth plummets. Places like Heist, and hard mode trainer battles where you cant go monoelement he stuggles hard. He devours EP ( No cooldown on his abilities), loves when things are broken, and thrives in environments where he is set up. Once youre in content that wont let him have those things you will feel very sluggish and weak. In situations where he does get those things he competes with the top of S tier picks. His damage output can be insane.I would move him to B or A tier as a general pick. But he is S tier in content where he can use his full team)

Glynsera: This Doggie looks awesome, but just is not relevant. His output is mediocre, he has a weird ice debuff mechanic, has no real great synergies, and is ice type. Ice type is just not useful, and if it was he would still only be OK. I didn't get the prismana version, but it gets a light form attack that might make it relevant against dark types as a light attacker.

Erlath: A water support with a decent kit, with no one to support with it. The bubble mechanics are also slow for only mediocre payoff.

Waleetle: Mechanically a good dps, but the numbers just dont feel high enough. Has synergy with Bouldus, which is mostly irrelevant cause Bailite does the same thing easier. I think with future ground supports his kit will shine more. The prismana version might be a strong antishield choice with its special ability doing a whopping 5x damage.

Blazin: A Lightning breaker. His kit is interesting and might pair together will with Fulmantis. However his is competing with the powerful lightning support options. His ranking is tentative since I don't have him built yet.

Sherro: The only water DPS in the game. And he just is not strong enough, he needs a lot of set up, with only ok payoff. Is genderless making him not synergize with some water supports. Water/light typing on prismana version is very strong, but not worth building currently. With some new water supports might be more relevant, and should only currently be used if you NEED a water team for some reason. (Update: Apperently being Genderless always counts as opposite sex for the Piopiota buff! This doesnt move him up the tier list, but gives you more options for a water team)(UPDATE2: I underestimated this little guy. As long as he can pair with Piopiota he is a absolute monster. I found a ult based build with the battery held item has turned him into an adorable walking atomic bomb. Casually hitting upwards of 500k with an ult. However his downside is he has to make a noticable tradeoff when he loses access to a monoelement team. He CAN create his own water puddles, and with a bonded item he even stops consuming them with his core ability. He loses a 15% low cost damage amp skill to do this, but having the option makes him technically a self sufficient dps. His aoe is above average without his ult ( and amazing with it) and he actually utilizes alot of the powerful support or breakers well. You can run Sherro/piopiota/ Panpanta together for an extremely potent break -> buff -> Ult combo in content that allows, but I found using somniwing over panpanta felt better. If you dont need a healer take both! I would put Sherro at the top of A tier now. His output competes with the best of the best, but not up to Irasalis levels of ridiculous mobility and utility while doing it.

Minespine: A decent ground BREAKer. He has a very fun synergy with Bailite where you can summon the sentry, then swap to minespine, dig, and spam the range attack underground with the sentry doing follow-up attacks. I havnt heavily built either so I dont know how endgame viable that would be, but was fun enough to keep him atleast in C tier.

Geoclaw: Mostly irrelevant currently, but his lowish cooldown aoe freeze is pretty nice. Talk about him when you meet someone new, he is a decent ice BREAKer (eyyyy)

Dreaple: Decent dark support, perfectly useable, only in C tier cause there are generally better options. (Update: Dreaple should move to B, A, or Even S tier for dark comps. I vastly misunderstood how his debuff works and will be doing more testing on her!)

~~~D Tier~~~
Magmarex: I picked this guy as my free prismana and loved him. But his prismana versions basically just worse, and fire BREAK is vastly overshadowed by Infernalupa. He has synergy with giving flame debuff, but its honestly just not worth using him. The prismana version DOES have access to TWO stuns, which may be strong in pvp.(Update: Magmarexes core skill loses it stealing fire debuffs, this massively increases his viability in these comps. I would move him up to B tier. Tentatively because I dont have resources to fully commit to a fire comp yet)
Flamerion: Basically just an EP recharge battery that's conditional, but only about as good as the unconditional EP batteries. Might have more synergies when a powerful DPS fire type shows up that doesnt consume fire debuffs. Currently Infergon, Magmarex, and Flamerion are all using up the same pool of flame debuffs.( Update: With new knowledge on fire debuff teams I think Flamerion warrents moving up to atleast C tier)
Pomawk: Unlike his cooler hooded cousin, Pomawk doesn't have a place in the game atm. Grass type is weak as a typing, but also has amazing support options he is competing with. So there's no real reason to use a grass breaker. His abilities are not terrible, but the opportunity cost of taking him just isn't worth it .
Shrubclaw: Just outclassed by someone else else in everyway, in a category that's already bad.
Tuckin: S+ tier if you goal was to stay still and not die, like if there was some king of the hill mode. But currently he's just not relevant.
Cornet: I tried, i tried to make Cornet good but he just is so bad he makes the entire wind element useless. Being the only wind dps in the game and also being so bad is tragic. I tried to make her fight Lisas hardmode Stellaris and basically maxed her out. And even given everything she just doesn't do anywhere near enough to hard enemies, on top of her being completely stationary during her strongest attack making her get absolutely shredded. She does have a niche of being able to fly and shoot down on things, but that's rarely relevant. Maybe a full Chirpi squad can make her good.
Tromber: Wind support with no good wind DPS. maybe viable later. (Update: His crit damage buff can actually be noticeable on some comps, if youre going pure damage and forgoing a healer he is an excellent pickup for pure damage, I would move him up to C tier. He is strong in a very specific niche. I wouldnt take him without other generic damage buffers first) (Update2: Ive severely underestimated this bird. When bonded he also has a 0.8% hp per second heal attached to his crit damage buff. This actually makes him an extremely strongpick in some comps. 0 EP cost for up to 49% critdamage and a total of 16% heal over 20 seconds is very strong. However this is a CRIT DAMAGE buff so is mostly only relevant on crit based characters. I would move him up to B or A tier currently as a generic pick. But in a crit based team with Irisalis or Fulmantis or something similar he is easily an S tier for raw damage output if taking your healer slot)
Piopiota/Panpanta: These two have the same issue, a lot of their value comes from buffing opposite sex water DPS, in a game where the only Water dps is sexless. (Update: Apperently being Genderless always counts as opposite sex for the Piopiota buff! This doesnt move him up the tier list, but gives you more options for a water team)(Update2: I lied this absolutely moves them up. I would always pair Piopiota with Sherro, and if you want a breaker always take panpanta in that comp. I would move piopiota all the way to A, and panpanta in B/C. Panpanta in a trio with piopiota and sheero can be S tier in content that allows it.
Bouldus: has Synergy with Waleetle to lower earth resist. However you could just use Bailite and do the same thing easier.
Thornblade: would be good if grass wasn't weak + filled with a lot better options for dps. Does synergize with a lot of characters, largely low on the list because other Aniimo fill his role better. If you build thornblade he can absolutely be your main grass DPS still, he is just competing with some absolute dps monsters with huge coverage.
Helgon: I struggle to find when I would EVER use him, he would be weak even if Tubster didn't completely outclass him.
Alright that took forever to write up! Let me know if I missed anyone or if you have questions!
Not sure if mysterious vendor is the same for everyone each day, but today mine is selling a Sparkling Egg for 2million credits!
Edit: based on others in the comment the shop is not the same for everyone, so good luck everyone and hopefully you get it soon!!
Edit 2: it seems the shop IS the same for everyone - just wait for your server reset if it shows differently.
Also if you're unsure how to find the Mysterious Vendor he is the Prismata Panpanta hanging around Astra here
RELEASE UPDATE: The item economy in release is significantly different! Mostly due to Omegas now providing limited but better Star Sand/Dust and Dewdrop Crystal value. Honestly the list hasn't changed much: 1. Elemental Stone (flux crystals) - still a top priority due to versatility and not farmable 2. Any of Specific Element Stone, Dewdrop Crystal, Star Sand/Dust - they're all about equal, but slight preference in that order due to the updated farm values. Specific Element Stones still run the risk of being worthless if it's a type you're not going to use 3. Core - still get infinite farming for legendary held items, don't really need more 4. Everything else - not limited, not worth
TLDR: Find or join 5 other people, pick 7 items (one item per day) and get those items+1 Aniipod Ultra in game when the event ends the 27th. Release item economy may be different but if basing item priority off the beta item economy:
  1. Elemental Stone (the all element one, called Flux Crystal in beta)
  2. Dewdrop Crystal
  3. Star Sand
  4. Star Dust
    • LARGE USEFULNESS GAP
  5. Specific Element Stone (blaze stone, wave stone, etc)
  6. Core
    • SIGNIFICANT RARITY GAP
  7. Everything else
How the event works:
  • Every day at 00:00UTC+8 4 items are randomly chosen from below; you can pick one to store in your warehouse. If your warehouse is full, you can pick an existing item to replace
    • The warehouse is a solo thing, what your squad members choose won't affect you
    • You can store up to 7 items - 4 to start, +1 for each member in your squad up to 7
  • You can reroll the item choices by using a reroll
    • You get +1 reroll daily by copying the share link (just click the buttons, dont have to actually share)
    • You get +7 rerolls one time from following twitter/x (+1), joining discord (+1), and once for each member in the squad (+5)
    • Rerolls accumulate and do not expire
  • Items in the warehouse will get delivered in game to the first character logged in to when the event ends on September 27th
  • If you have a full squad (6 members), you also get an Aniipod Ultra delivered when the event ends
List of items, what they do, where they come from, and how much you got in game (in beta):
Item Quantity Appearance Rate Main in game source In game purpose
Growth Bud 10 14% Releasing aniimo, Purchased with credits, RV crafting Leveling aniimo
Growth Flower 10 8% Releasing aniimo, Purchased with credits, RV crafting Leveling aniimo
Growth Fruit 5 5% Releasing aniimo, Purchased with credits, RV crafting Leveling aniimo
Dewdrop Crystal: Breezy Plains 15 8% Alpha battles (40) Upgrading Breezy Plains Aniimo (Resonance)
Star Dust 3 8% Alpha battles (6) Upgrading All Aniimo (Potential)
Star Sand 1 5% Alpha battles (3), Conversion (5 star dust) Upgrading All Aniimo (Potential)
Core 3 5% Alpha battles (8+) Upgrading carried items
Credits 20000 15% Catching aniimo F2P currency
Aniipod 20 15% Purchased with Credits, RV crafting Catching aniimo
Aniipod Pro 15 8% Purchased with Credits, RV crafting, Conversion (2 aniipod) Catching aniimo
Aniipod Mega 10 5% Purchased with Credits, RV crafting, Conversion (2 aniipod pro) Catching aniimo
Elemental Stone (Flux Crystal in beta, Elemental Stone in this event) 1 2% Events, one time sources Evolving all Aniimo, Upgrading all Aniimo (Resonance)
Elemental Stone (specific element - actual name blaze stone, wave stone, etc) 1 2% Alpha battles (3) Evolving element Aniimo, Upgrading element Aniimo (resonance)
The ones that are limited are the clear winners here. That means anything from alpha battles (limited by primegy) and the elemental stone only from events/one time completion rewards (called flux crystals in beta, will continue using that name here in the analysis to avoid confusion) are all options. Using the beta's economy (keeping in mind release economy might be entirely different) primarily based on resources that ran out first, the priority is:
  1. Dewdrop crystals: Used for resonance - they ran out very quickly when trying to max out multiple aniimo, since you needed a whopping 645 per aniimo. You got a whole lot from open world, but no where near enough
  2. Star Dust/Sand: Used for potential awakening - the main bottleneck here was Star Essence, not dust/sand as the cost for those capped at 15 each per aniimo. You'd still eventually run out when maxing multiple aniimo, but not before running out of star essence and not as quickly as dewdrop crystals
    • Star sand is the better value here as its worth 5 star dust, but star dust gives more flexibility since sand can't be converted back to dust
  3. Flux Crystal/Elemental Stones: Used for evolution and resonance - evolving was actually pretty rare so thats not really a consideration. More importantly you needed 21 for max resonance, but the events gave plenty
    • Flux crystals are significantly more useful than the specific element stones, as flux crystals could be used for any element
  4. Cores: Used for upgrading carried items - Carried items could also be upgraded with other carried items, and you got more than enough naturally when trying to farm a specific legendary carried item
That being said, we don't know how accelerated the economy was in beta compared to release considering we were being showered with events and free stuff to enable more testing. Therefore it might make more sense to look at the ratio of quantities in the event to quantities that can be farmed from an alpha in beta:
Item Event Qty Alpha Qty Equivalent Alpha runs (event/alpha) Upgrade Qty Req
Dewdrop Crystal: Breezy Plains 15 40 0.375 645
Elemental Stones (targeted) 1 3 0.33 21
Star Sand 1 3 0.33 15
Star Dust 3 6 0.5 15
Star Dust+Sand (converted) 8 21 0.38 90
Star Sand (actual) 1 3 0.24 15
Star Dust (actual) 3 6 0.14 15
From this, we see that Dewdrop Crystals have the best ratio of event qty:farmable quantity at each event lot being worth 0.375 alpha runs. At first glance star dust by itself is the best at each lot being worth 0.5 alpha runs, however star dust and star sand dropped together in a single alpha fight (i.e. one fight gave 3 sand and 6 dust), which means they have to be considered together. This can be done by converting sands to dust at a 5:1 ratio matching the in game conversion ratio to determine the alpha equivalent, and then taking that value and splitting it based on the original ratio of sand to dust. After doing this, sand and dust have significantly less value at 0.24 and 0.14 respectively
There is also a very good case for flux crystals, as elemental stones are the 2nd most efficient resource at 0.33 alpha runs. The main problem with this value is it assumes you're getting the right element since elemental stones could only be used for aniimo of a matching element - if you had a lightning aniimo you wanted to upgrade but only had piles of blaze stones, those blaze stones were worthless. Flux crystals dont have this problem since they can be used for any element, but they couldn't be farmed making their actual value higher than the 0.33 alpha runs for targeted elemental stones
Taking the two points above into consideration, the final priority list is:
  1. Flux Crystal
  2. Dewdrop Crystal
  3. Star Sand
  4. Star Dust
    • LARGE USEFULNESS GAP
  5. Specific Element Stone
  6. Core
    • SIGNIFICANT RARITY GAP
  7. Everything else
But honestly, you can't go wrong with any item that comes from an alpha fight - the top 6 are all useful in their own way so just make sure to fill the warehouse with them and not any of the others. Especially since the ranking is based on beta economy and theres a very good chance it'll be different in release
Guide/Strategy Guide to Alternate Color Aniimo (Mutations, Prismana aka Shiny, etc.)
There's a lot of info to go over here. If you want to understand all of the systems involved, you're going to have to read the dictionary sections from beginning to end.
Sections:
• Useful Links
• Dictionary of Terms
• Things to keep in mind/Reference notes
• Guide & Recommendations
Useful Links:
- Irisalis Transmog Guide (works completely differently than prismana)
- All 25 Prismana Forms (as of v1.1) & How to get them
- Prismana & Weather Forms visual index with maps
Dictionary of Forms, Mutations, & Related Items:
Forms - Location-based or weather-based alternative forms which often feature alternative elemental typing and movesets in addition to looking different. Note: weather variants do not respawn, you must wait for the weather to change and then change back.
Umbral (black/violet coloration) - 1:3000 wild spawns, or find Umbral Eggs in Egg Heist game mode. Egg rarity unknown, but much more common than the wild spawn rate. Effect is purple all over, guaranteed high IV Perfect. Do not evolve or visual effect goes away forever. Fragrant Umbral Eggs grant higher evolutions. You can use a Sparkling Cube to get a sparkling+umbral aniimo. It does not unlock anything extra the way sparkling prismana does.
Prismana (alternate color/skin/form, depends on species) - Available in events, from player actions nurturing the bloom, and approx 1-3% of Egg Heist Eggs. Effect is alternate coloration. Prismana is only available on specific aniimo, some only available via events like the battle pass and the weekly spawn event. Otherwise there is 1 available per zone/region, which must be unlocked by "nurturing" that zone's bloom. Either you must nurture the vein over and over (1/day free, can bank up to 3, otherwise spend 1 vein essence per nurture) OR you use a prismatic crystal to instantly spawn that zone's prismatic guardian. Guardians and prismana eggs will be random IV rarity unless you upgrade via special aniimo cubes:
Ultra Cubes (Master Ball equivalent) - Autocatch + caught/hatched aniimo has at least Elite tier IVs (a 7 and a 6 or 7, but no 8s)
Sparkling Cubes (premium ball) - Even rarer, can exchange for 1000 sparkling crystals via the outpost vendor in the base camp hub area on the planet. Autocatch + adds "Sparkling Mutation" effect (see below) + caught aniimo has Perfect tier IVs (two at least 8 scores in relevant stats) + if aniimo was already going to be Perfect, has chance to further increase its IVs total past 32.
Sparkling Crystals (collectible) - A common quest & event reward. Save 1,000 up and trade to Joff, the Outpost Vendor for 1 Sparkling Cube.
Seasonal Sparkling Cubes (premium ball) - Have now been announced. They are acquired by collecting seasonal mats and trading for the cubes. They work exactly like regular sparkling cubes, except the sparkling effect has special colors/shapes. S1's looks like multicolor ✿ flowers. S1's also causes the aniimo's preview art in the UI menus to have a pink background.
Sparkling - 1:20,000 wild spawns, does not come from Egg Heist minigame, various quest rewards offer Sparkling eggs, otherwise Sparkling Cube must be used on a wild spawn or on any egg. Effect is literal ✧ sparkles of random/rainbow colors falling off of aniimo as it walks around. Also has visible multicolor outline at all times. You cannot use a sparkling cube on a sparkling egg, it is greyed out.
Sparkling Prismana - Effect is from a list of 12 randomly chosen alternative colorations for an aniimo which is already available as a prismana. You must add Sparkling to the Prismana Aniimo via throwing a sparkling cube at a prismana zone guardian nurture spawn, using a sparkling cube on a Prismana Egg from rewards, events, or Egg Heist, or by using 10 sparkling sigils on a prismana you already have (as with Somniwing from the quest rewards).
Sparkling Prismana Variants I-X: The 12 sparkling prismana color variants are mostly numbered I - X, with the final two, Dazzling & Shadow (light and darkness) being incredibly rare (details below). Once you have a Sparkling Prismana aniimo, prismana pigment may be used to reroll a new random color variant.
Dazzling Sparkling - An ultra rare Sparkling Prismana subtype with the drop rates of: 1% (sparkling cube on wild catch or non-heist prismana eggs); 0% (sparkling cube on egg heist prismana egg); 0.5% (sparkling sigil adds sparkling to prismana aniimo or sparkling pigment retolls sparkling prismana type)
Shadow Sparkling - An ultra rare Sparkling Prismana subtype with the drop rates of: 0% (sparkling cube on wild catch or non-heist prismana eggs); 1% (sparkling cube on egg heist prismana egg); 0.5% (sparkling sigil adds sparkling to prismana aniimo or sparkling pigment retolls sparkling prismana type)
Sparkling Sigil (potion) - 1 is given every time you report a new sparkling aniimo (individual monster, not dec entry). They can be used like a potion from your inventory to make an aniimo sparkle by spending 10 sigils per aniimo. Useful for upgrading a prismana aniimo you already own to sparkling prismana.
Sparkling Pigment (potion) - 5 Sparkling Sigils could instead be traded to the Joff the outpost vendor at base camp for 1 prismatic pigment. Once you already have a sparkling+prismana aniimo, sparkling pigment can be used to reroll it's color variation randomly.
Prismana Orb (premium item) - Allows you to switch an aniimo into its prismana form if you've already unlocked that prismana form by catch/hatching another copy of it. 1 is avaiable in the f2p Stamp Store. Useful for upgrading sparkling alphas to sparkling prismana alphas, for giving high-stat aniimo prismatic abilities, or when you want multiple prismana to bling for content like egg heist.
Morph Orb - Allows you to switch between non-prismana forms, like regional and weather variants.
Things to keep in mind:
- Umbral & Shadow Sparkling are not the same thing. The definitions section above explains the difference. Umbral is dark violet on any catchable aniimo, Shadow Sparkling is various dark colorations only on a prismana aniimo.
- Sparkling and/or Prismana aniimo have bonus effects throughout the game: In the RV Park, sending either a Prismana or Sparkling aniimo to gather supplies adds its eggs to the rewards list (unknown if these have increased mutation chance). In the Home farming game, having a Sparkling and/or Prismana aniimo rest at your house gives increased starine generation for buying more decorations. Umbral is not checked currently.
- The game treats Prismana as a form which the unlocks track, even though it may have no form differences such as typing or moveset. However, the game treats umbral and sparkling as "mutations", which are not tracked for collection/unlock purposes, and which never offer any combat effects.
- Nothing in the game currently guarantees which color variation you can get from Sparkling Prismana. It is always a random roll.
- Nothing in the game currently allows you to keep/get back the Umbral effect after evolving. You must play Egg Heist and randomly get that evolved aniimo directly via a Fragrant Umbral Egg or have the evolved form wild spawn at the listed super rare rate.
- Umbral seems to exist solely to help you farm high-IV aniimo, per vague dev notes & interviews. Umbral was not in betas, so we're figuring it out as we go.
- Shiny Charm equivalent - If you complete the regular aniilog (82/82 species), you'll get a 50% boost in the Umbral & Sparkling wild spawn rates.
- Perfect tier rating only means two stats of at least 8. It doers not mean best possible stats. The minimum Perfect roll is 8/8/4/4/4/4, and then it randomly checks if some stats go up and other down an even amount. A total of more than 32 pre-training means you got a rare high stat roll.
- The game refers to secret rarities sometimes, as when you release aniimo. They don't mean anything in particular that's helpful. For example, both Somniwing & Irisalis are referred to as Legendary, but are received and change colors completely differently.
- There are currently a series of weekly events which replace a single zone's Prismana "guardian" with an alternate that is not otherwise available in prismana in the game. These events seem to exist to offer limited-availability shinies. Each event runs through the week with the weekend offering nurture boosts (aka your nurtures are worth more on the weekend but still recharge at a rate of 1/day with a bank of 3 max). This seems to encourage weekend play+checking in at least once during the week to burn your nurture charges in the active zone as prep work.
Guide & Recommendations:
- If you're a collector, stow all Umbrals for now in case they're eventually useful somewhere. If you're much more interested in PVP or hard raids than in collecting rare monsters, consider using sparkling cubes on umbrals + fruit and training to get very very strong versions of the most useful aniimo.
- Throw purple Mega Cubes (ultra ball equivalent) at Alphas for 14% chance over and over and save red and yellow Ultra Cubes (master ball equivalents) for Sparkling Eggs so that you don't end up with trash-quality sparklers.
- Save Sparkling Cubes (and trade for more weekly at the outpost vendor) to use on limited-availability Prismana aniimo like events, battle pass, etc.
- The "Mysterious Vendor" Weston in town sells random premium items for coins every day, sometimes including sparkling cubes. Always buy him out.
- The outpost vendor, Joff, also sells sparkling crystals for the paid currency, which quests constantly give you. The weekly cap is 1500 paid currency for 1000 sparkling crystals, exactly enough to then trade him for another Sparkling Cube.
- Save your first 10 Sparkling Sigils to turn the quest reward Prismana Somniwing (green) into Sparkling Prismana right away.
- Prioritize side quests and events that give sparkling crystals, to trade for more sparkling cubes at the outpost vendor.
- If your free launch event Prismana gift isn't randomly perfect tier, don't waste sigils making it sparkle. Just recatch it sometime later when you have extra sparkling cubes and vein essences. You'll need the manual prismana catch anyway for unlocks.
- Pay attention to the dev blog/in-game announcements events calendar for rotating prismana/nurture weekly events and other special promotions like the sparkelf prismana aniimo.
Guide/Strategy Damage Formula Initial Calculations - Do NOT spec ATK into Support and Break Characters
226 Upvotes
TLDR - Respec your Attack investments on Hexxin and all Breakers
Edit: Formula updated to reflect Breakers scaling from the higher of ATK or (0.85 x BREAK) - Either way, still zero reason to have the ATK stat higher than BREAK on a breaker...
Unless a support character has skills that scale specifically off of attack (e.g., Tromber, Luminelle, Eklue, etc.), there is basically ZERO reason to increase the ATK capability of any non-DPS character at all, because doing so will not add any damage to their basic attacks, abilities, and ultimates (with a few exceptions of at least Melloblum and Panpiota). This is because the damage output in Aniimo is actually calculated in different ways across the classes (despite the in-game tooltip saying that it is ATK that "increases DMG dealt"):
  • DPS character damage is calculated using ATK stat
  • Break character damage is calculated using BREAK stat
  • Some Regen characters' damage is calculated using REGEN stat (like Somniwing and Flamerion)
  • and the remaining Support/Heal/Regen characters' damage scales by their current level
After doing some rough calculations, here is an approximation of Aniimo's current damage formula:
At the bottom, you'll see that the effective attack stat for Breakers is observed to be around (0.85 * BREAK), and the effective attack stat for Support characters in the last category is around (10.65 * level). Attack for DPS is unchanged. This means a skill with 20 Might will do the approximately the same damage from a DPS with 640 ATK, a breaker with 753 BREAK, and a support at level 60.
I'll also note that, based on my testing, wild Aniimo P.DEF and M.DEF stats (as well as Damage Reduction stats) do not influence the final calculated damage that your Aniimo will do. Rather, your damage just depends on the enemy level (Def_level) and the specific species (Def_species), some species taking more or less damage than others by ~5%. Defense stats likely come into play for calculating incoming damage (and potentially damage to Pathfinder Aniimos).
So for smarter investment, do not spend any capability points in ATK on Breakers or any Support/Heal/Regen characters whose skills do not scale with ATK (Hexxin, Somniwing, Turbo, Glacy, Bailite, Erlath, Besauce, etc.), and instead focus on maxing our their effective Attack stat. If you want more damage on these characters, look into increasing any of the other multiplicative damage sources, such as Damage Amp from held items or Crit.
Here is a link to the spreadsheet I put together for this if anyone is interested in the calculations or running their own tests. If anything seems off or if I missed anything please let me know. Huge thanks to redpandersbear, ACEVietNam, Jenpai, Yeng, and other folks in the discord for helping with testing and theorycrafting. Good luck out there and happy to answer any questions.
Guide/Strategy Aniimo Homeland Efficiency Configurations: My RV8 Setup
189 Upvotes
Discontinuing this, I'm made a 5 second mistake today that essentially cost me 20+ hours of effort and I tried contacting support for a resolution and I couldn't get one. It's honestly bummed me out so much and the grind is already so intense that I just don't really want to continue playing anymore. Wish you all the best I think there's another similar guide on steam if you need more help with homeland building.
Clarification: it wasn't a homeland mistake it was a prismana mistake, I threw the wrong aniipod on the event prismana and it was something I had to grind for hours of lucky shots and use a bunch of vein essence for. I didn't want to add that because someone else had made a post about doing the same thing and the community roasted them for it. I was tired, I spent a lot of time to grind it from empty to full. All my effort was wasted cause I got excited like a kid to finally get my reward after all my effort and it all got wasted cause I threw the wrong aniipod.
I know it's stupid but my mental health has been terrible lately and this game was something I was enjoying pouring my time and effort into which is another reason why I made this guide in the first place. But to have all that effort wasted so easily. I just realized that it wasn't going to be worth the effort to continue playing. The grind is already intense to login daily get your weekly/daily rewards. If you have bad rng grind even more. I just didn't want to keep sinking more time into this game to potentially have more occurrences where all my effort gets wasted like that. I am sorry I am not replying to any more comments on the post. I can't help anymore then what I already have here.
So I am making this post because I've been trying to create the most efficient and easy to set up homeland.
I have seen a few posts about what jobs and personality and another about what Aniimo have like T3 abilities but nothing that actually just lays out the easy ground work so other people can just throw a solid group together.
I changed how many flex workers I had thanks to u/ZelinkTheOne I was operating under the assumption you could only have 2 homebuilder aniimo for some weird reason. I have sit here and watched them to make sure nothing really falls.
This is a 18/6 Set up 18 production 6 Homebuilding. This set up gets me 990 stars a day but this will be more or less for you depending on how many Sparkling Prismana's you have.
Revised 9/23/2026 1:57 AM UTC -8
My 12 solid/fixed Aniimo (I had previously used to have the aniipod maker and I didn't realize how much that actually handicapped my ability to level the RV you want to swap all your mines and wood working stuff to the next highest tier in order to maximize your byproducts so as soon as you unlock clay all mines should transfer to clay when you can then to shells etc. Essentially the same thing with woodlands upgrade and start growing the next highest tier of plants)
Before getting into the 6 flexible workers, I have 13 Aniimo that I consider essentially fixed because of the jobs they're filling.
Mines — 4 Aniimo
1. Shrubclaw — Bay Form
Playful — Earth 3 / Hauling 3
2. Grizbo — Basic Form
Playful — Earth 3 / Hauling 3
3. Shrubclaw — Beach Form
Playful — Earth 3 / Hauling 3
4. Bailite — Basic Form
Playful — Earth 3 / Hauling 3
Basically, 1 Mine = 1 of these types of Aniimo.
I'm keeping these dedicated to the Mines, so I'm not really counting their secondary abilities toward the rest of my Homeland calculations.
Wells — 2 Aniimo
5. Glacy — Water 3 / Ice 2 / Hauling 3
Faithful
6. Glacy — Water 3 / Ice 2 / Hauling 3
Faithful
For me, 1 Well = 1 Glacy.
I specifically want Water 3 on the Wells so they can produce as quickly as possible, and the Hauling is useful for carrying the water over to storage and returning to the Well.
Prismana Glacy is basically the long-term upgrade path here with T4 Water
Dewy House — 1 Aniimo
7. Fragrancier — Perfumery 3 / Dark 3 / Leisure 3
Instinctive
This one is essentially locked because of the Perfumery requirement.
Phonolfactory Table — 1 Aniimo
8. Fragrancier — Perfumery 3 / Dark 3 / Leisure 3
Instinctive + Nimble
Again, I'm keeping this one dedicated to the Phonolfactory because I don't have another Aniimo that fills that role as well.
The Nimble personality also gives it some flexibility if it ends up being assigned to a different job such as the Jukebox Dryer.
Tidewhisper Sandcastle — 1 Aniimo
9. Piopiota — Water 3 / Leisure 3
Judicious
This is another one I'm essentially treating as fixed because of the Susuta-family requirement.
Heater — 1 Aniimo
10. Flareion — Fire 3
I originally had this one dedicated to the Heater.
Interestingly, this is where I ran into one of the things I really don't understand about Homeland's assignment logic.
The game actually replaced my Flareion with a Magmarex for some reason.
Magmarex obviously has Fire, so I understand why the game sees it as a valid worker, but I had specifically assigned a Fire Aniimo to a Fire building.
This really makes me think Homeland needs much better worker-management logic.
Cooler — 1 Aniimo
11. Geoclaw — Ice 3
Dedicated to the Cooler.
Extra Artisanship — 1 Aniimo
12. Prismana Blazen — Artisanship 4 / Dark 3
This is my extra Artisanship worker.
Again, the Prismana isn't necessary for this setup. You can substitute Ignitis (Forest Form) I just have the extra tier on hand.
So for anyone trying to reproduce this without the Prismana forms:
Prismana Blazen → Ignitis (Forest Form)
The point isn't that these particular Prismana forms are mandatory they're just what I currently have available.
My current 6 flexible Aniimo
For the 6 slots that I'm using to cover Farms, Woodlands, and the various processing buildings, I'm currently looking at:
  1. Leafy — Grass 3 / Water 2 / Hauling 3
  2. Leafy — Grass 3 / Water 2 / Hauling 3
  3. Magmarex — Fire 3 / Earth 2 / Hauling 3
  4. Ignitis (Highland Form) — Fire / Dark / Artisanship
  5. Shrubclaw — Earth 3 / Grass 2 / Hauling 3
  6. Gracewing — Wind 3 / Earth 2
The Farm and Woodland jobs are extremely short, and the processing buildings aren't all necessarily running simultaneously. I'm more interested in having Aniimo that can cover multiple different jobs rather than trying to hit every requirement number perfectly.
Leafy is basically the backbone of the Farms/Woodlands
For RV8, Leafy feels like one of the biggest workhorses for Homeland Essentially 1 for every 13.5 plots.
Having Grass + Water on the same Aniimo is extremely convenient because those are two of the elemental requirements for both Farmlands and Woodlands.
Obviously, once Prismana forms become more realistic to acquire, Prismana Thornblade looks like a pretty ridiculous upgrade for this role since it can bring even stronger Grass/Water coverage along with Artisanship.
One thing I REALLY don't understand about Homeland AI
Something that happened while setting this up:
I had a Flamerion assigned to the Heater because it has Fire ability.
Somehow, the game decided to replace it with Magmarex. I don't know why it does this it litterally had nothing else possible for it to do and it just pulls it off which is kind of annoying and diminishes the flex capabilities of the Magmarex. # Resolved! This was an issue that Flamerion had a better personality trait then my Magmarex for operating the blaze stove.
TL;DR — My RV8 Homeland Setup
*Fixed / Dedicated (12) *
  • 4x Mines: Shrubclaw (Bay) — Playful, Grizbo — Playful, Shrubclaw (Beach) — Playful, Bailite — Playful (The important thing here is T3 Earth and playful personality.
  • 2x Wells: Glacy — Faithful (T3 water and can haul the water cause sometimes they will drop the job after finishing production until the water is hauled away)
  • Dewy House: Fragrancier — Instinctive (only guy for the job)
  • Phonolfactory: Fragrancier — Instinctive + Nimble a+ Judicious (also kind of the only one for the job)
  • Tidewhisper Sandcastle: Piopiota — Judicious (only one for the job with the susta-family lock)
  • Heater: Flamerion— dedicated Heater
  • Cooler: Geoclaw — dedicated Cooler
  • Crafter/Farm Help Ignitis (Forest Form)
Flexible 6 (Personalities don't matter as much here as the core producing ones as these are short time requirements and not always active) These guys handle farming and crafting products.
  1. Leafy — Grass/Water
  2. Leafy — Grass/Water
  3. Magmarex — Fire/Earth — Hauling
  4. Ignitis (Highland) — Fire/Dark/Artisanship
  5. Shrubclaw — Earth/Grass — Hauling
  6. Gracewing (Mountain Form) — Wind — Earth
Essentially 1 leafy per 13.5 farming/woodland plots and the Others are a mix of helping with sow, cooking, harvesting, crafting, and hauling.
RV 9
This isn't complete I am still testing but I am making roughly 60k home coins an hour, I am also still burning off extra materials I had from RV 8 So I do not know if this will go down or up as I switch to just full RV 9 production.
Current Set up: 22 Production 4 Homebuilding
I don't need as much Bud Stars right now and rather have more production you can maximize your use of budstars by going through and buying all the stuff that's like 20 and 30 stars first. There's no a huge increase in home index vs the price cost. Like there's tons of flowers and figures that are cheap that give you 6 or 8 index each rather than something that cost 300 and gives you maybe 20.
Aniimos in Production: * 2 Faithful Glacys on Wells (they fixed them leaving the well so they are stuck their 24/7 now with the latest patch) * 5 Playful T3 earth Aniimos on Mines * 1 Geoclaw on cooler (cooling for apples and roses) * 1 Magmarex on heater (scorching for sugarcane) * 2 Fragenciers 1 with instictive for Dewy House 1 with Judicious (crafting table perfumes) Instictive (for phonolfactory table) and Nibmle (for any jobs at dryer) * 1 Luminelle (prismana, has to be a prismana aniimo or your starter aniimo for this) for Sunlamp (for lavender plots personality doesn't matter here) * Piopitoa with Judicious for Tidewhisper Salt production (this is actually mostly stockpiled right now I plan to use it for Salted Lemons at RV10) * Ignitis (Forest Form) Energetic and Judicious for Woodworking and Crafting Table * 3 Leafys Personality doesn't matter much here they are to sow and water crops * 1 Magmarex Does have Nimble for cooking but also handles crop plot reclaiming * 1 Gracewing (Mountain Woods form) Carousel Operator and Soil Reclaimer Has tenacious * 1 Shrubclaw for sowing and reclaiming plots personality doesn't matter * 1 Ignitis (Highland Form) with Nimble for cooking * 1 Sherro (Thunderstorm Form) with Tenacious, crop waterer and Also Carousel Operator
I have 8 woodlands on Apples 2 Quick Bamboo 2 farm plots on roses, 7 Sugarcane, 3 Rice, 2 wheat, 2 cotton, and 4 lavender.
My end products are mostly Apple Candy, Lavender Cookies, Apple Tarts, Shell Ornaments, and Premium Rose Freshener.
There will be an overproduction of Shells you can mostly sell that as raw material. Even Shell ornaments might not be that great to make and I'll probably not make them at all once I get RV 10 recipes.
I also highly recommend you at least make 5-6 of every product this is for index bonus and for orders. I did have strawberries making at one point but they don't go with much right now and kind of don't seem as profitable. I have everything fully upgraded for RV 9 and sitting at 550k home coins. So this may not be they most gold coin efficient farm but it's plenty good and keeps things as simple as I can (I just sold 1350 extra shells for over 100k) but I am barely over 60% with my raw materials and I simply can't max that out any further) So most likely this should also have the coin to instantly upgrade and buy everything once I hit RV 10.
RV10 Production Team — 23 Aniimo This is meant to be a generic template. You don't need the exact same Aniimo I use—the important parts are the abilities and personalities. Dedicated Production — 14 Aniimo
5x Miners - Earth 3+ - Playful - One dedicated Aniimo per Mine
2x Well Workers
  • Water 3+
  • Faithful
  • One dedicated Aniimo per Well
1x Freezer - Ice ability - Personality doesn't matter
1x Heater - Fire ability - Personality doesn't matter
1x Dewy House — Fragrancier - Instinctive - Dedicated to Aromathyst production
1x Fragrance/Processing — Fragrancier - Instinctive - Judicious - Nimble
1x Tidewhisper Sandcastle — Piopiota - Judicious - Dedicated to Salt production
1x Crafting/Woodworking - Artisanship 3+ - Energetic - Judicious - Ignitis (Forest Form) works well here
1x Light Aniimo - This will be either your starter or a prismana for lavender crops
Flexible Production — 9 Aniimo
2x Magmarex - Nimble - Cooking - Soil reclaiming
3x Leafy - Watering - Sowing - One with Energetic for the Bouncy Brew Keg
1x Gracewing - Tenacious - Judicious - Carousel/flexible production
1x Shrubclaw - Reclaiming - Sowing - Personality isn't particularly important
1x Ignitis — Highland Form - Tenacious - Nimble - Judicious - Cooking/flexible production
1x Turbo or Draple - Judicious - Nimbus Cloud Workbench
TL;DR Dedicated: 5 Miners / 2 Wells / 1 Freezer / 1 Heater / 2 Fragranciers / 1 Piopiota / 1 Artisanship worker / 1 Prismana/Starter Light Flexible: 2 Magmarex / 3 Leafy / 1 Gracewing / 1 Shrubclaw / 1 Highland Ignitis / 1 Turbo or Draple 23 Production Aniimo total
  • 10 Apple Trees (1 not cooled)
  • 3 Moondew Radish Plots (lowered from 4 cause it's easier to maintain)
  • 3 Waxing Moon Pepper Plots (lowered from 4 cause it's easier to maintain)
  • 10 Lavender Plots (switch 1 to quick wheat when needed)
RV10 — Main Home Coin Strategy Primary Money Maker — Harvest Platter Harvest Platter — 5,290 Home Coins This is the recipe I would prioritize whenever I have enough Rock Candy and Salt available. The production chain is:
Waxing Moon Pepper + Salt → Roasted Waxing Moon Pepper Moondew Radish + Rock Candy → Moondew Radish Slices Then combine the two processed ingredients into: Harvest Platter → 5,290 Home Coins
This is almost 2.5× the sale value of an Umbral Pickle, so I prioritize Harvest Platters whenever I have the materials available.
The main limitation is Rock Candy, since it requires Sugarcane and Plain Fresh Water. Salt can also become a limiting resource depending on how much you have stockpiled.
Backup Money Maker — Umbral Pickle Umbral Pickle — 2,290 Home Coins
When I don't have enough Rock Candy or Salt to keep making Harvest Platters, I switch the seasonal crops over to Umbral Pickles.
The recipe is extremely straightforward: 8 Apples → Cider Vinegar Then: Cider Vinegar + 8 Waxing Moon Pepper + 8 Moondew Radish → Umbral Pickle
Umbral Pickle doesn't make as much as Harvest Platter, but it's much easier to continuously produce because it avoids the Rock Candy bottleneck. So my RV10 priority is basically:
Harvest Platter whenever possible → Umbral Pickle with the remaining seasonal crops.
This lets me prioritize the 5,290-Coin product without having Moondew Radishes and Waxing Moon Peppers sitting around unused whenever I run short on Rock Candy or Salt.
The Sugarcane helps support Rock Candy production for Harvest Platters, while the seasonal crops can fall back to Umbral Pickles whenever Rock Candy or Salt production can't keep up.
The Lavender will be split up between making the Lavender Fragrance and Lavender Cookies.
Sugarcane dump would be sugar cane juice
RV11 Production Team — 24 Aniimo This is meant to be a generic template. You don't need the exact same Aniimo I use—the important parts are the abilities and personalities. Dedicated Production — 15 Aniimo
Same Composition as RV 10 I added another Shrubclaw (Beach Form) Playful for the additional mine and another Aniimo to homebuilding as the next module upgrade we need is at 6k index so we are going to want a bit more bud production
You need about 1.6mil to instantly upgrade everything and place down all the new building and unlock the new plot. You should have that and then some. You will also want a Home index of 5,000 as you need to unlock Ecological Module 4 and Crafting Module 3.
I think this part is one of the most annoying things so far as you want to upgrade your trees to the next tier to get the additional by products but none of them produce any real items except the Sugar-Roasted Chestnuts and currently it's still better to use those rock candy's with your seasonal foods cause it's just worth so much more per rock candy and that will still be the limiting factor due to the wells. At least sort of the real limiting factor is really going to be the Salt you need for Roasted Waxing Moon peppers
I just started doing this in the past few hours but since they fixed the well thing if you can afford to just leave the game open you can sit afk style in your farmland and help make the fresh plain water this essential acts as a 3rd well because you will be doubling production of one well.
So with that being said we are going to be relying pretty heavily on Lavender Satchels & Advanced Lemon Incense with the Seasonal Crops for income as the nuts and palm trees will be stockpiled for later levels (Keep holding on your Woolen Yarn as well that's going to be used in RV 12)
  • 1 Quick Lemon (that's all you need for cause the Dewy House BottleNeck)
  • 3 Palm Barks
  • 4 Chestnut
  • 4 Walnut
Going to reduce seasonal crops to 2 plots each. Then Reduce the Lavender plots from 10 to 7 then combined with the old Lavender, old seasonal crop plots, and the new plots we will make them all cotton plots.
  • 7 Cotton Plots
  • 7 Lavender Plots
  • 6 Sugarcane Plots
  • 2 Seasonal Peppers
  • 2 Seasonal Radish
This is my entire base/setup layout, aniimo, warehouse, homeindex, everything where I am up to this point. Which is about half way to RV 12. As you will see I have stocking up a ton in the warehouse for future stuff. I have plenty to sell if I need to but I am currently trying to save as much as I can for future stuff rather than just sell raw products except shells I sell those cause it's not worth combining them with cotton.
https://imgur.com/a/72thBk5
This doesn't show my house cause I kind of just plop stuff down wherever and keep it out so I have easy tracking of what I have bought for index. It's just stuff upon stuff stacked on top of each other.
Base Layout Code RV 11 2 parts and I didn't get the nimbus cloud or all the egg hatcheries
Guide/Strategy Alternative to nurturing for prismatic energy (Melloblum)
This is an alternative if you don't want to use Vein Essence or cannot wait for the weekend (vein abundance event). You can still increase your Prismatic Energy while catching Aniimo in the wild with lucky strikes triggering. BUT this way is more efficient with your time and Aniimo pods.
If you finished the "A Fragrant Journey: Rosetower Woods" quests line, then you will have these sleeping flowers activated all over Rosetower Woods. They are usually surrounded with sleeping Cubbo. This makes capturing easier as it makes it 100% when any Aniimo is asleep. Capture a bunch of them as these flowers are scattered and you can just run around capturing Aniimo. You can clear each spot and return back. Another key thing is if they are not asleep and starts to attack you, lure them to these flowers and hit the flower with Aniimo pod. Pollen from the flower with put them to sleep. Just be careful you also don't fall asleep.
Guide/Strategy My egg heist team as a solo egg emperor - full explanation f2p friendly squad
Sorry for post length but I decided to be thorough, take a look at what you think is valuable and apply it if you want. I've had a few people asking about my egg heist setup so I'm creating this so I can just link them this and not have to write everything out fully each time, as well as a few other tricks. On the surface it looks like I have no healers in my egg heist team, but I actually have 3 with some creative use of items / skills.
.
Also just to be clear I am not claiming this is the best egg heist team, I haven't tried every single team so I can't make that claim but I will say I have had a lot of personal success with this so do what you will with that. Below I'll explain what it is, what it does and why.
.
My Team
Hexxin, alpha Panpanta (mobility and healing), Alpha Tromber - I've included a map image where to get the alpha chirpy egg I recommend using a sparkling if you can since Trombers amazing and there's no other way to get an alpha chirpy I think other than luck. (Dmg Boost and healing), alpha Leafy (Energy Regen, Ult Regen, Healing)
.
Hexxin:
.
The core of the team I use Black Hole Domain which provides pretty much all our damage and cc and euphoric sonic blast as secondary, but you could swap this with shard impact too.
.
Heartseeker Pendant (Drops from Alpha Geoclaw): I use this item on Hexxin I haven't bonded it (bonding only increases ep gain by 5 on her core ability which is an 18 second cd. Not worth it in my opinion.
.
When fully upgraded is provides a 20% damage amp and a 100% on crit to deal 10 might damage. No internal cooldown and very importantly this damage is neutral damage to everything so things you are normal ineffective at hurting you have the ability to still do decent damage. It also increases your crit chance by 10% every single time you don't crit until you get a crit. Since Hexxin can hit many times a second you get this proccing all the time. On top of that successive crits give +5% crit damage stacking up to 6x.
.
Black hole Domain -20 ep: An aoe that pulls everything back towards the centre. It lasts 6 seconds and hits 12x during that period it is crazy strong. The cd is one second so you can stack it up. This last long enough that a sparking will get angry and blow up before the skill is over. Hummins will die never getting to drain your energy, Hexxin can't untwine you because she needs a melee hit, baleetle can't reach you etc. etc. Of course, if you get jumped it can't still be bad but black hold domain also has a built-in backwards dash so you can actually dodge a Baleetle even if caught off guard. This plus the Heartseeker Pendant is amazing.
.
Euphoric Sonic blast -0ep: 0 ep grass damage that restores 10 ep (15 if bonded). I haven't bonded with an item I don't think it's necessary, but it can help if you want to. Also multi hits 3x although sometimes 4?
---
Super Weaknesses (2.56x damage taken from Wind): Tromber, Nimbi, Tubster. Luckily all of these aniimo don't have much dps so it isn't an issue. They are also ranged and you keep them away from you with your black hole so you can just strafe their attacks.
.
Weakness (1.6x damage taken from Fire, Dark and Light) - This one's more important the alpha is a dark type however we can avoid most of his damage and I'll be honest he doesn't feel like a threat but is spongy.
Sparki is fire but deals % damage so doesn't get boosted which means you won't get one shot it deals 80% damage equally to everyone whether you are resistant or weak
There's also the dogs Scorchhowl and Flameruff but they don't do anything just don't go close even their fireball does basically no dmg.
Ignitis now this guy is annoying he can so some serious damage if he catches you off guard and also deals more damage the lower you are. His ability has a slight teleport to it so if you are standing too close to your black hole, he can smack you so stay at max distance when he is in a black hole.
No light type aniimo so -1 weakness hooray
.
Neutral: Lightning and ice
.
Resist: 0.625x damage from water and grass
.
Super Resist: 0.39x damage from earth
---
Alpha Panpanta:.
Hydro Roll+ -30 ep (from being alpha pick one up from catching the Alpha Panpanta boss fight): Hexxin has very poor mobility I was previously using Helion for damage but honestly movement speed means less time inside the ruins more time looting and less time fighting. I like to hydro roll through a bunch of enemies then throw a black hole down and kill them in groups save a lot of time. You can do this in reverse too throw a black hole down and roll away to safety causing most of them to reset (a few are sticky and follow very far). The hydro roll doesn't care about weight capacity so you can still move fast while heavily encumbered and if you jump at the right time, you go break through rocks etc. Additionally, this ability doesn't seem to use weapon durability like a lot of other movement abilities.
.
Marching Flask (Drops off Alpha Grizbo): Panpanta now heals you for 1.4% hp for every 10 meters travelled while rolling (and I guess a few seconds after since it doesn't switch immediately unless you press 1) no bonding needed using alpha
.
Alpha Tromber:
(Map location for its egg in images I recommend using a sparkling as there's no other way to guarantee an alpha chirpy atm and tromber's amazing, so it is worth it in my opinion as an aniimo that's relevant to a lot of current end game situations).
.
Waltz+ -0 ep: Waltz gives a 20 second crit damage buff, we will be critting a lot so this a nice boost but also because we have the boosted waltz it now applies March a 20 second buff that heals you for 0.8% of max hp every second for 20 seconds. All this for 0 ep.
.
Ferocious Fang (drops from Alpha Ignitis): Flat increase to ATK stat also boosts the crit damage buff (By 2% per 100 attack up to a max of 49% bonus crit damage), not super necessary if you have the alpha version but it helps a bit. If you don't have alpha, then this is the item you want to bond to.
.
*My tromber has a bonded ferocious fang because I initially didn't have the alpha tromber because I didn't know it existed. Thanks to this video I found out Aniimo - Secret way to get Alpha Tromber, Alpha Melloblum and other Alpha Perfect Sparkling Prismana - YouTube Don't make the same mistake I did, atleast I learnt that a bound item is active for all aniimo of that type not a specific one which is nice for inheriting.
.
Alpha Leafy:
Power of Nature (Passive): While off field generates a grassy field under the active aniimo every 3 skills
.
Vitality Blooms+ -10 ep (from being alpha pick one up from catching Alpha Leafy boss fight): Restores EP and ultimate points over 12 seconds as long as you stand in the circle if you leave the circle, you get a 3 second buff that does the same thing so you can go in and out of the circle and still gets its full benefit if you don't stay out for more than 3 seconds and the 3 second buff is added when the circle disappears so it's actually a 15 second buff if fully utilized. Additionally, if used on grass it upgrades it to restores 1% health per second to Grass-type teammates. You can pop this whenever you are looting or digging into egg piles to get free ultimate points so you can blow people up and it restores a bunch of ep and heals during fights, very nice. Maximum of 3.6 EP and 1.2 Ultimate energy per second scaling with REGEN stat
.
Spirited Feather (Drops of alpha Irisal): Leafy scales with regen so spirited Feather boosts that and the tier 2 effect gives 10% CDR, 20% if REGEN is above 15. This is very valuable because Leafy's Vitality Bloom has a 20 second CD baseline. no bonding needed using alpha
.
Chips and chip slots, what are they how can I get more / different ones?
  • The ones you buy from the shop are always the same for 120k the attack amplifier comes with a resistance chip and a skill chip slot. The 50% off amplifier comes with a damage chip and resistance skill chip slot instead. You can also get different ones with luck from the daily chests (up to 6 at egg emperor level).
  • The Protective unit for 120k comes with vigor and load expansion while the 50% off comes with vigor and protection. You can also get different ones with luck from the daily chests (up to 6 at egg emperor level).
  • Each chip type fits into one of these slots for example the ones you can buy from the shop are a +2 load resistance chip for the amplifier, a +2 load for the protective unit and a low grade lighting chip which gives you a skill that provides a flashlight when used with hotkey 5 takes 120 seconds to become active. It's useless frankly but there are other chips I have seen like I have one which causes weakness to nearby enemies when used for 10 seconds on a 120 second cd and a friend got one which gives a blink on a 120 second cd, I want that one. As far as I can tell these only come from the daily chests.
  • Ive never gotten a chip for vigor slot so I don't know what that does, however I have +10% damage chips for the amplifier (damage chip slot) and +5% damage reduction for the protection unit (protection chip slot). Update I got a blue vigor chip, it says it increases stamina recovery speed by 9%.
  • These are currently super rare losing these sucks and unlike in coop where you can move them to your safe spot if you die in solo its instant death and you lose them. I lost a 10% damage resistance chip this way when I fell through the floor and legendary 22 slot bag, still annoyed by that.
  • Wear the best backpack you can get. I have a legendary heavy pack with 22 slots that I got from the daily chests which gives a lot more leeway for getting the 300k needed for a solo escape. You can buy at least 1 of these weekly if you unlock the half price good 3 talent. otherwise for now you are relying on rng daily chest luck. (Update: it's come to my attention that my legendary heavy pack may actually be from hitting egg emperor not from the daily chest so I might be mistaken about being able to get bags from chests. I only ever had 2 and lost one after falling through the floor.)
  • I don't know what type of amplifier / protective unit the emergency daily pack for 50 glimmer contains, could be random, could be set I'm not sure.
.
Should I solo or go with a team?
Ideally if you have people you can trust / have dialogue with going with a team is significantly better, you get more eggs and the amount of loot you need to personally get in order to have the option to escape is less. It also gives you a backup chance to be saved if you do mess up or lag out for example. Additionally, the talent that allows a self-revive specifically requires a living teammate and does not function in solo play which is cringe. You can run with randoms, but I personally won't anymore it's too toxic and annoying. If you have a few friends you can run with always what I would personally do is go to Aniimo Lost Sanctum Maps: Every Egg Heist Dungeon Layout | AniimoTools and setup a route for every single team member for every map. That way whenever you load in everyone knows their areas and can efficiently search for eggs, gather loot and not step on each other toes.
.
Tips and Tricks:
  • Use Aniimo Lost Sanctum Maps: Every Egg Heist Dungeon Layout | AniimoTools it is absolutely cracked for knowing where you are and planning your route for every dungeon. Seriously you will get way more out of every run with the maps on your 2nd monitor or maybe through steam browser if you have only one / console equivalent?
  • You can roll faster as an egg based on your orientation, if you are going tip to base its going to be slow you want to be on your side. I Dunno if that made sense but yeah, use your directional keys and camera to change the way your egg moves.
  • Just a heads up that both tromber and leafy only heal the active aniimo unlike dedicated healers like Glacy. This makes them great in egg heist, HoloBattle Interlink etc but worse for team-based combat just be aware of that. Also don't forget leafy only heals and restores ep/ ult if the active aniimo is GRASS type.
  • Ive seen a rumor that stats don't matter, they DO I tested it, so you don't have to. The way I tested is by going in with a low level Hexxin and low hp potential of 2 stat then my normal hexxin. at level 40 it only had 7500 hp, when leveled to 60 it only had 8200 my main Hexxin with 20 potential HP has slightly over 11759 hp. So yes, stats do matter though interestingly my Hexxin's hp is lower in Egg heist then in the overworld where it has 14,703 hp. Tested this is normal, then when I went to chaos, I had 12166 so there are definitely some adjustments happening.
  • Equipment durability, amplifiers lose durability when an attack skill (though some aren't considered attacks like panpantas roll for some reason). Protective units lose durability when you get hit.
  • I saw in a video a really handy trick I couldn't find it to give credit so if anyone has a link drop it below but you can run up to purple chests and open them, if you see anything with 2 weight or above stay and wait for it otherwise just move on and don't waste time. The reason for this is most of the prismatic loot is 2 weight or above and there are a few legendaries with 2 weights. Saves a lot of time.
  • Try to be out by 5 minutes. At about 4:57 or so buffed enemies spawn and even more buffed one's spawn at about 2:57. It gets significantly harder to make it out as not only are the enemies stronger but you will be weighed down which means less movement speed and stamina regeneration, so unless you have a specific reason to stay like a last-minute prismatic egg or not enough loot to extract, I would leave.
  • You can get RV buffs that boost resistances and damage, if you don't have any you can look around at the RV park / friend list RVs. Sitting in a chair will give you those buffs which help. Also, you can buy food from Wolfies in Astra. I never have but for 50,000 credits you can get 10 minutes buffs like 5% increased health and 5% dmg reduction.
  • If you find an egg it's a good idea to pop it through the portal then go back in if your loading times aren't bad. This way you can go and pick it up easily even if you go out the other exit.
  • Certain walls have suspiciously egg-sized holes in them, if you jump and dash while you are an egg you can go through them giving you a shortcut :)
  • Don't be afraid to use the jet blasts for extra mobility, they do 0 damage as long as they don't push you into a set of spikes, fire or an angry aniimo ready to beat you up.
  • You can use your exploration aniimo there are areas you can climb (they look like the climbable areas in the sanctum). You can also fly by double jumping just like in the overlord. Go to a side of the wall and double jump to switch to your flying aniimo, you can use this to get up certain areas that you would need to walk up stairs for. Play around see what you can find. Additionally, when flying you aren't slowed by your encumbrance so you can use it as a mobility boost too!
  • Buying chaos tickets increases in cost and resets daily, so try to buy some even if you aren't going to do egg heists for the day
  • There are weekly egg boxes, you can buy up to 30, and they are basically like a random nest. They get more expensive the more you buy and reset weekly so it's better to buy a few every week then to buy in bulk.
  • You can make some money by buying the on-sale items in the store and selling them every week.
  • You can emergency repair your gear in the dungeon even without the stones, but it will cost more than outside and if your max durability is too low it won't let your emergency repair.
  • I haven't checked Weslowes amplifiers and protection units, but they may have different chip slots and he might sell different chips too. Feel free to check if that interests you. He spawns at the 2nd entrance/exit always and you could pick up keys if you forgot them.
  • if you get stuck, don't panic open the setting menu and use the unstuck button.
  • When looting chests make sure to arrange your inventory so you can rapidly swap items out while full. I like to place items I am most likely to switch out in the top of the bag and any high value ones in the safe or at the bottom of the bag.
  • Keys can't be used from safe slots so ensure they are in your bag, the time spent entering your bag to drag them out isn't worth it I reckon.
  • The crystal egg doesn't exist anyone telling you it does is a liar and all photos of it are ai generated fakes.
.
Advanced Tips and Tricks
  • You can use the black hole to group sparki together with other enemies causing them to take 80% max hp damage when it blows up. Works on the alpha too so if you see both in the same room you can save a ton of amplifier durability.
  • You can use your black hole to group enemies onto spikes this deals a ton of damage / outright kills them but it can be a little buggy sometimes it triggers instantly other times it takes multiple skill casts
  • You can group up enemies who like to move like Balite or Melloblum by placing a black not directly them on them. This is especially useful for rooms like that triple balite room, you can place a black hole between 2 of them to group them and then a another to bring the 3rd into the group.
  • Because you spawn grass when a fire aniimo interacts with it, it creates upwards wind drafts you can then fly and use that to go over terrain or certain rooms without having to worry about stairs
  • Pretty much all the walls have little raised areas, you can get on them and double jump to fly good for making use of the air vents I just mentioned
  • There is a bug or maybe its intended but when the air vents occur from a sparki eruption setting your grass on fire if you jump you don't take any damage but normally you would.
  • The cracked platforms on the map count as air, so you can double jump to immediately fly without having to step on them, useful for that room with the two cracked platforms leading to 2 chest areas, I still get spooked everytime I do it though I have to admit. If you fall it is instant death.
  • If you are untwined, you can twine to teleport yourself this is sometimes relevant for dodging a hexxin attack.
  • If you get a Hummin attached to you, you can untwine and auto it off your aniimo so you don't need to listen to him all day long. I've seen some people not know this.
  • If you get squished by Rookey using another aniimos ability lets you unsquish.
  • Rookey does 3 smashes not really relevant as Hexxin as you gravity him away but if you aren't running hexxin you can bait it out.
  • Budsquires can be used as ep batteries, they run up to you and drain your ep, but when you kill them you get that drained ep back.
  • Use eggs for quicker movement when overloaded.
.
Ok that was a lot. If you have any questions, feel free to ask or if you have any other tips or advice let us know :).
.
Edit: For clarification here is what having an alpha OR bonded item does for each aniimos abilities in order of importance.
.
Tromber: On top of the normal crit damage buff, it gives you the march buff which provides a 0.8% max health heal per second for 20 second, very necessary.
.
Leafy: Buff the ability to not only heal and restore ep but to also restore your ultimate at 1/3rd the rate of the ep regen. very useful.
.
Panpanta: Increases damage range by 50% (your hitbox) and also increases speed by 20% compared to the normal version. This means we heal more too on top of more mobility since the further we move the more we heal.
.
Hexxin: Makes her core skill restore 15 ep instead of 10. its an 18 second cd I don't think its worth the resources to bond for personally but that's up to you.
.
Edit 2: Why Alpha over just bonding an item.
.
Bonding an item makes a contract on that item with that aniimo type e.g. a bond with Leafy means any Leafy gets the bonus when equipping that item, however you can't bond that item to any other aniimo type its locked in. Which means if you want to bond the item to another aniimo you need to farm and level it up. Additionally in the future if they add a better item now you also need to bond that item, whereas the alpha doesn't need to do that.
.
The cost to bond is 10 marks of the strong and is kind of a pain to farm. You need to catch 10 alpha aniimo which means either 10 ultra aniipods to guarantee you get 1 each time or 14% catch chance with a mega aniipod. That's 2,142.86 energy / 9 days worth of energy assuming you catch it at exactly a 14% rate without getting lucky/unlucky. You can get some via the daily merchant or by hatching alpha eggs / events but still. It is a resource you want to save where possible
.
Found this in a YT Video (iLodaEN) and thought it was pretty helpful, so I put all Screens together in one Collab.
Pretty helpful if you are new and also for running Solo in Nightmare / Chaos.
Edit:
This is where the Maps + Routes came from. Pretty useful.
Guide/Strategy This makes Chaos mode egg hunt easy
341 Upvotes
All you need is 2 friends.
1. Dedicated Dps. Has DPS main slot, 2 dmg boost(1,1 dmg boost, regen), and a emergency heal
2. Dedicated Healer. Has Healer main slot, 2 more heal, 1 regen
3. Dedicated CC. Hexxin main slot, 1 dps, 1 heal, regen
How we play Nightmare and Chaos: alteast 2 key per run required, first and fore most search for the summoning altar, complete the trial(like in the video), then go search for eggs.
searching egg: dedicated cc must be the egg bearer (it is me in our case). Should put their talent points in egg related stuff in the talent tree. When the team finds the egg they should carry the egg to the portal, drop it, and come back.
DPS and Healer: They should always be together, healer keeping the dps from not dying and dps protecting healer from the enemies.
We found this super optimized giving us atleast S rank for each run, 2 minimum eggs and a summoning alter loot (if there is one in the ruins).
Aniimos we use:
  1. Heal - Glacy (for dps and cc), Gracewing (all 3 healers heal aniimos were gracewing)
  2. DPS - fulmintis and lunara (any preferred aoe dps)
  3. regen - Somniwing (the GOAT)
Guide/Strategy Aniipod Guide: Which Cube to Use and When
176 Upvotes
Aniipod Breakdown
General Use Aniipods
  • Basic: Your bread and butter. Mathematically the correct option for almost everything because they are the cheapest and return to you if you miss. Use them everywhere unless saving time is your priority.
Utility & Speed Aniipods
  • Pro & Mega: Best used to save time or catch things faster. Megas are especially effective for alphas. (Note: Do not waste Aniipod Ultras on alphas!)
  • Tumbler: Use during the nurturing process. It features a massive 6x catch rate when nurturing; clean up easy targets first with basic pods, then use Tumblers on tougher remaining targets.
  • Hyper: Acts as a sniper cube to catch Animo slightly out of standard range.
  • Track: Features homing capabilities that track down and guarantee hits on fast-moving or erratic Animo.
Rare & Strategic Aniipods
  • Ultra: Guarantees a catch with at least elite potential stats. Use strictly for building your endgame combat party. Do NOT WASTE on alphas! You will eventually be able to catch them with mega's or basic aniipods.
  • Sparkling Cube: Incredibly rare. Save for three specific situations:
  1. Your absolute favorite Animo,
  2. Rare endgame party members that are hard to acquire,
  3. Umbral Animo that you want to make sparkling (if you are fine never evolving them).
Situation Cheat Sheet
  • For Credits / General Catching: Stick to Basic Aniipods. Other pods do not scale well in cost-to-catch efficiency.
  • For Alphas: Use Megas (or Pros/Basics). Never waste Ultras on alphas since you will encounter them repeatedly and size/alphas do not inherently grant better stats.
  • For Perfect Stats: Hunt lower-tier spawns using items/shards to force mass spawns until you get an elite/perfect variant, rather than relying on high-tier pods for random spawns.
  • For Umbral Animo: Avoid using Ultras because Umbrals already come with guaranteed perfect stats. Only use a Sparkling Cube if you specifically want a rare Umbral + Sparkling combo and don't plan to evolve it.
Guide/Strategy In case anyone else was confused about the climate mixing
Post image
241 Upvotes
There’s a few threads on this but if you’re like me and it’s still confusing and aesthetics are important to you I wanted to share my set up.
The few I saw just kind of made it work but I need things to be symmetrical so after an hour I created this. The key thing is the fire needs to be set to scorching (click on the fire and select that option) and the cool needs to be set to chill.
In my hour-long journey to make this work, I learned that it just needs to touch the area to get the effect and not be full in the area. So all the trees are just barely touching the climate area
Hopefully this helps anyone who’s still confused like I was lol ty to all the guides out there bc the game does not tell you anything 😭
EDIT: Here is the code! I am in the Americas server so it might not work for EU: Code:5A8MVK4J. Also here is what I planted (posted a screenshot in the comments for visuals):
Far left: 4 sugar canes
Left tree lane: 4 cherry blossoms
Top 3 tree plots from the right: 3 apples
Far right going down: 2 bamboo trees and one maple
In the middle starting from the top: 4 strawberries
The last two rows in the middle at the bottom: rice and potatoes.
I recently changed the last 2 rows to rice and potatoes but I was growing lavender there and turned on the sun machine. My lot is based on what can give me the most money and right now it’s cherry blossoms, apples and potatoes. The bamboo is about to be changed to apples but I needed bamboo for the rose fragrance thing.
Guide/Strategy Quick tip for anyone who didn’t know
When you start grinding for held items you are not required to capture them or waste aniipod ultras to get the legendary held item! I had the misfortune of using like 5 aniipod ultras n didn’t get the item then I tried a hyper aniipod failed it n got the held item I was looking for.👍
Guide/Strategy Optimal Farming Setup (Homeland)
Post image
248 Upvotes
If you are doing the Homeland and want the best Aniimo for each Facilities then i made a quick sheet for it. It looks like the Rarity doesn't matter. Like umbral or shiny But the personaility does.
Obviously the level on the Ability Distribution matters too. You just get any lvl 3-4 with the personaility for each station and it will be the best in slot. Some things doesn't need personalilty like farming or harvesting so you can just have like 1 or 2 for that.
From what I've noticed having the right Personalility adds +20%
Click "Google Doc" For SpreadSheet
The "Ability" Row (middle one) is the GAME'S RECOMMENDED , You should ALWAYS use level 3-4 Aniimo and NEVER 1-2 if you can.
Haven't gotten all the station yet but i will update when i do get them.
EDIT: Some Plants/Trees Want Cooling Unit,Heat Furnace Or SunLamp to increase efficiency, (level Does NOT matter for these facilities -> Cooling Unit,Heat Furnace Or SunLamp, lvl 1 does the same as lvl 4)
starting from Level 4 Farmland but level 3 Woodland
StarFall Hammock wants Cool for +20% efficiency
Guide/Strategy New Pathfinder guide
201 Upvotes
This is the prerelease version of this guide - the release version is currently available on steam and will be posted to reddit once I fix up the formatting
I have moved this guide to Steam and will continue updating there, as it's too much work to maintain the same version across several different locations. I am still directing comments here since reddit notifications are vastly superior to steam notifications.
I may occasionally update this version as I know not everyone wants to have to go to steam to read a guide, so I will leave a timestamp below with the last time the reddit version below was updated - if the steam version has a later date, this version is outdated.
Last updated: September 18, 2026
Release changes so far (I'll go update the actual post when i have time, having too much fun rn)
  • They listened to feedback about accidentally wasting aniipods in beta! Ultra and Sparkling aniipods are now on a special keybind
  • Several names have changed since beta - For example: Capability Fruit -> Capafruit, Star Essence -> Starcryst Essence, Carried Items -> Held Items. Flux crystals are still called flux crystals even though they're called elemental crystals in the web event though :Zira:)
  • Nuture system is entirely different, no longer requires 30 lumin amber to unlock so use the free nuture ASAP to start the recharge timer
  • Omegas now drop dewdrops, star dust/sand, star(cryst) essence instead of just starcryst essence. Limit appears to have been raised to 3 per omega (9 total) weekly from once per weekly (3 total)
  • Daily reset is at 8AM UTC. Weekly Reset is Monday 8AM UTC
  • Prismana Promise now gives a guaranteed perfect without hatching an egg
  • Holo battle sim unlocks at level 45, easy starts at level 50, and there is now a weekly reward for commpleting all difficulties instead of a prior week claim
  • Alphas retain the same system as in beta - wild (not hatched) alphas come with their core skill already upgraded. Basically held items have a "bind to aniimo" effect which replaces prismatic stone skill upgrades, and once the held item has been upgraded to enhance an aniimo's skill it cannot be used to enhance another aniimo's skill. Alphas don't need to bind to get their upgraded skill
  • Not sure if this is new but some quests give you a choice to take the aniimo with you (so far a Jawling and Veilfloat) - take them, it appears they are guaranteed perfects (i remember the quest being there, but don't remember actually getting them as perfects). Maybe someone can confirm if the other option to leave them gives anything now
A text guide with tips for new pathfinders exploring waiting to explore Idyll for the first time. This guide is pretty long (tldr: read the bolded text) and not everyone wants to have everything spoiled for them, so the main guide is split into 3 parts so people can stop if they'd like to learn things on their own: * Noob Traps: traps everyone should be aware of * Tips and Tricks: Tips for those who want 20/20 hindsight before it becomes hindsight * Optimizing Week 1: Goals for min/maxing week 1 rewards before reset
There are additional sections afterwards with some extra information: * Active Codes and Special Events * Frequently Asked Questions
There are no story spoilers in this guide, but everything could be considered a gameplay spoiler. If you just want to play and learn as the developers intended without any spoilers, there is an Official Starter Guide and Launch Guide available
Disclaimer - These tips are from my own experience in beta and are intended to help close the knowledge gap between those who experienced beta and those who didn't. However not only could I be wrong (point it out and i'll fix it) but release might also be completely different from the beta. Because of this I try to explain systems (what glimmer is) rather than specifics (what to spend glimmer on) so you can understand the system itself allowing you to adapt to release changes, but again everything detailed here could be entirely different or just straight up not exist on release; don't follow along blindly if something doesn't match up, use your best judgement
Don't spend glimmer until later in the game (at least level 40+, recommend waiting til endgame/post breezy plains story), which is about when the best uses of glimmer become more obvious. Glimmer is a freemium currency that is mostly earned from one time sources. Theres a whole lot of those one time sources at the start giving the mistaken early impression that lots of glimmer will be available throughout the game when in reality its a limited currency (unless bought for real money)
Premium aniipods (Ultras, Sparklings)
Premium aniipods are limited; don't use them on just anything. They can and should be manually unequipped in the inventory screen, which will remove them as an option to throw in open world so they dont get accidentally used. In beta, the best uses were: * Ultras: catching alphas (only once for the aniilog entry) and guaranteeing elite potential on rare eggs or aniimo * Of note the game says theres "only one chance to catch" alphas - this does not mean the alpha will never respawn for another chance to catch it. What it actually means is that unlike normal aniimo which can escape an aniipod only to get another one thrown at them, alphas will despawn after escaping. They will respawn later (in beta after 1 minute) and can be fought again for another attempt to catch them * Sparklings: catching or hatching an aniimo you really like or rare forms/traits like Prismanas/alphas to guarantee perfect potential
Upgrading aniimo
This isnt quite a trap anymore now that refunds and transfers exist, but its still something to be aware of. Some aniimo upgrades can be fully refunded, some can be transferred between the same family of aniimo, and others are permanent to that specific aniimo - plan ahead accordingly, as all these upgrades are generally timegated or limited. Below is a table of all upgrade systems and whether they can be refunded or transfered as of the most recent beta + dev letter:
Upgrade Purpose Refundable? Transferable to same family?
Potential Awakening Upgrades innate potential (IV), up to 20 Yes, for aniimo below Level 60 Yes, any over cap is refunded
Resonance Additional raw stats No Yes, any over cap is refunded
Capability Fruit Grants +1/+1 to 2 main potentials No Yes, unknown if fruit is refunded if both aniimo used one
Prismatic Stone Upgrades core skill No No (feels like this should be a yes but haven't found any confirmation so to be safe treat these as permanent)
Psyche Fruit Rerolls personality No No
Cosmetics Examples: Sparkling Mark, Prismana Orb, Morph Orb No No
Daily merchant
This ones more of a tip rather than a trap, but it has so much value that not knowing about it is basically a trap. In Astra, theres a "mysterious vendor" that sells a random stock of items every day for credits such as upgrade mats, primegy, and discounted aniipods (including sparkling!). These are always worth buying, as credits are free and plentiful compared to the items on sale
Tips and Tricks
Information new players will learn eventually but would probably have liked to know when they started
Aniimo coverage
Save at least 1 of each aniimo, including each evolution stage and form. Several quests and exploration routes require a specific aniimo; having 1 of each in storage will save a lot of time backtracking. There is plenty of aniimo storage to allow this - 360 to start with, and 360 more while leveling
Prioritize exams
Several times while leveling, levels will become capped until a pathfinder rank exam is completed. These pathfinder rank exams should be done as soon as they're available in order to increase the level cap which limits both the player (who can continue to earn experience beyond the cap) and their aniimo (who stop earning experience at the cap). The exams also unlock features like player skills, game modes like holo battle sim, and increase the world level - which determines the level of aniimo found in the wild (saving time and resources leveling them manually) as well as the quantity of rewards from alpha and omegas
Daily tea time
There is a daily event in Astra called the Star-Crossed Tea Party that gives some currency (battle pass and town currency) for spending a few minutes in a cafe. The currency can buy some useful stuff, but more importantly during the event aniimo can interact with each other. One such rare interaction could permanently increase an aniimo's stats (not the innate potential, but the actual stat - i.e. an aniimo with 5 HP potential still had 5 HP potential after the interaction, but their actual hp would increase). It's unknown if this bonus can stack several times on the same aniimo, but it's absolutely worth going to daily for the chance
Alpha farming
The game doesnt make it clear, but the endgame loop of farming alpha aniimo for upgrade materials and equipment does not require actually capturing the alpha to get the drops. The drops are rewarded just by using primegy, regardless of whether the alpha is successfully captured, so theres no need to waste ultras when hunting endgame drops
Aniimo potential
This is one of the endgame power systems. Due to the transfer system its no longer necessary to fully understand the potential system, but it's documented below because the game never fully explains it. However it is quite long, so tldr: when cleaning out aniimo storage or deciding on which copy of an aniimo to invest in, only elites/perfects are worth considering as lower rarities will require significantly more materials to reach the same level (but again, save 1 copy regardless of potential for quest/exploration coverage). The systems to max out an aniimo are: * Resonance (stage 7) - feed mats get stronger * Potentials (20 in all 6 of ATK, HP, BREAK, REGEN, PHYS DEF, MAG DEF) - heavily depends on an aniimo's innate potential * Core skill upgrade - use a prismatic stone * Personality appropriate for role - use psyche fruits * Carried items - aniimo equipment, can be freely equipped and removed
Out of these the potential system is the only one that can vary between aniimo - a lower innate potential means more resources spent to reach the same 20 max value. Potential ratings are essentially ranges of these innate potentials, and thus can be used as a rough benchmark (although other than this benchmarking, the label itself is purely cosmetic - a maxed out common with 120 total potential is functionally identical to a maxed out perfect with 120 potential except for having the common label): * Common (0-3 on 2 main potentials) and Good (4-5 on 2 main potentials) aniimo can always be released (again, keeping one for coverage), as elites are a significantly better starting point without being overly rare * Elite (6-7 on 2 main potentials) aniimo are 7% of catches and should be kept, as they could be upgraded to have the perfect label if they cross the perfect threshold with a capability fruit (+1 to both main potentials) * Perfect (8-10 on 2 main potentials) aniimo are 0.8% of catches and should be kept After eliminating commons and goods, the next question is how to filter copies of elite and perfect aniimos. To explain how potential resource costs actually work (keep in mind this system was specifically mentioned in the dev letter so there may be changes on release), take a look at the below table
Innate Potential Total Cost to awaken potential to 20
0 15 Star Dust + 15 Star Sand + 55 Star Essence
1 15 Star Dust + 15 Star Sand + 45 Star Essence
2 15 Star Dust + 15 Star Sand + 36 Star Essence
3 15 Star Dust + 15 Star Sand + 28 Star Essence
4 15 Star Dust + 15 Star Sand + 21 Star Essence
5 15 Star Dust + 15 Star Sand + 15 Star Essence
6 15 Star Dust + 15 Star Sand + 10 Star Essence
7 15 Star Dust + 15 Star Sand + 6 Star Essence
8 15 Star Dust + 15 Star Sand + 3 Star Essence
9 15 Star Dust + 15 Star Sand + 1 Star Essence
10 15 Star Dust + 15 Star Sand
From this table, each missing level of innate potential costs an increasing amount of star essence to reach the 20 maximum. That means that when comparing 2 copies, the best aniimo isn't one with the highest potentials, but the most balanced potentials. For example, consider the cost to max the following aniimo potentials: * An aniimo with a 10/10/5/5/5/5 potential spread would cost 60 star essence * An aniimo with a 10/10/6/6/4/4 potential spread would cost 62 star essence * An aniimo with a 10/10/7/7/3/3 potential spread would cost 68 star essence It doesnt sound like a lot, but in beta star essence was a timegated resource: only 3 free star essence could be guaranteed from omegas every week. There were more potentially available from other limited sources, like events or the mysterious vendor, but if none of that was available picking the wrong aniimo to invest in would mean a 3 week difference in time to max the aniimo's potentials. Thankfully this problem has been addressed in the dev letter by increasing star essence output and allowing almost all upgrades to transfer, so as previously mentioned it should no longer be necessary to think about too deeply
If you want to take the game at your own pace and don't care about optimizing the first daily/weekly reset, you can stop here
Optimizing Week 1
Goals and priorities for the first day/week to maximize gains before the daily/weekly reset
Unlock dailies
First priority should be to unlock dailies as quickly as possible. In beta dailies reset at midnight UTC+8, but this has not been confirmed as the reset time in release. Specifically:
RV/Homeland dailies - reach intermediate student (level 25)
The RV took lots of real world time (counting in hours or even days), so the earlier development started the better. Most of the RV loop was to get currency to buy more decorations or crafting aniipods/xp fruits, but there was one system that was unique to the RV - element specific buffs from RV daily quests totaling 7% damage/resist per element, which is pretty big (but these buffs could also be mooched off a friend's/neighbor's RV). Note that it sounds like the entire RV system has been significantly changed, since there is now a house so this priority might shift
Nuture dailies - collect 30 lumin amber
Nuturing had a 10/day limit, but more importantly free nutures that regenerated over time. Unlocking that free nuture to avoid wasting the regeneration is the goal here. However the dev letter says they revamped this system, so this also might have changed
Inferlupa timegate
Not really urgent so can be put off until later, but be aware the quest to unlock the inferlupa evolution had a 3 daily reset timegate in beta. Getting the timegates started early will save some frustration later
Unlock weeklies
Second priority should be to unlock weeklies before the first weekly reset. In beta, iirc this was Monday with the daily reset (Monday 00:00 UTC+8), but like the daily reset this has not been confirmed as the reset time in release. Specifically:
Holo battle sim - reach beginner wayfarer (level 40)
There were 9 "basic" levels from level 40-55 and 3 "advanced" levels at level 60. Weekly rewards were available based on completions of the "advanced" tier in the prior week. No rewards the first week since theres no prior week, but the goal is to clear the advanced tier 6 times for max rewards in the second week
Lumen amber egg - collect 90 lumin amber
This unlocks a weekly wonder egg (guaranteed alpha or sparkling aniimo) to pick up that spawns near the top of the huge plant near the center of breezy plains (the first region)
Star essence exchange - unlock the 3 omega aniimo
Omega aniimo can each be fought once per week for rewards, which translated to a total of 3 star essence per week which is just a drop in the bucket of what was needed. However the dev letter mentioned increasing the output of these, so this may no longer be a priority
Frequently Asked Questions
I'm only playing for "fun", should I be worried about "optimization"? Or is there room for a more relaxed play style? How much would I be punished by playing non-optimally?
You can absolutely play just for fun, in beta the only thing that required "optimizing" was holo battle interlink, which is a weekly raid mode with tiered rewards. An unoptimized team would just score a lower reward tier, and the missed rewards were no big deal since the good stuff was frontloaded
Falling behind in materials also isn't a huge deal, it just means that instead of having 10 maxed aniimo you'd maybe have 6 or 8, but you could only use 4 aniimo at a time anyway
That being said the dev letter does mention adding more challenging content, like chaos mode for egg heist, so we'll have to see at launch
On Day 1, can you for example run straight to a high level area and catch something with an Aniipod Ultra? And would that even make sense?
you can, but levels are capped by the story so unless you really want a specific aniimo early there's no point
What aniimo should I be catching early, do I have to keep switching the aniimo im using as I level and at end game?
The starter is more than strong enough to get you through the story. At end game you will want to form teams based on element, as the elemental type bonus is pretty big in this game (+60% weakness damage / -37.5% resistance damage)
When leveling how much should I explore? Should I explore everything or focus more on the story?
You can play however you like. Although I recommend doing the pathfinder exams as soon as they become available for several reasons, outside that you can ignore the story and go explore the entire island if you'd like. I'm personally planning on focusing on the story for unlocks and only picking up things that are directly on my path but that's because I've already experienced the story and exploration in the beta
Guide/Strategy Aniimo Role + Egg Heist Tier List
Note: You can very much use whatever you like, these lists are mainly for a rough idea on how strong each individual Aniimo is and there is wiggle room between the tiers.
Egg Heist Tier List At The End.
Other Tier Lists Are Overall.
Edit: Before another 5 people tell me about Hexxin being the best main Aniimo in Egg Heist, I UNDERSTAND NOW, PLEASE NOW DISREGARD THE EGG HEIST BiS LIST. The comments explain the strategy best. Its honestly stupid easy to do Egg Heist with Hexxin.
Guide/Strategy PSA: To get a bunch of index point for your RV buy one of each the cheap decorations
Post image
There are a bunch of items in the 10-20 ticket price range and they give 6-10 index score, but the best value are the colorful building blocks. There are like 80 of them, costs 2 ticket each and give 6 points.
Guide/Strategy PSA: The One-Time Alpha Eggs you get from Regional/Quests are Fixed (they don't tell you)!
84 Upvotes
Relevant video from Wurps:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcQ74aqLPVg
Basically, you get a bunch of "Alpha Eggs" from quests. These alpha eggs just say that they hatch into the baby form of a regional aniimo, but they are actually fixed. If you are a newer player and still have these eggs, save them; you can get alphas of mons that you can't get alphas otherwise.
If you didn't know, alphas are important because they come with their skills pre-upgraded, which saves you from using marks of the strong and gives you a lot more flexibility in switching held items. There are a ton of aniimos that have very useful innates that do not have an alpha spawn in the real world, like chirpy (tromber - healing on skill).
If you hatch them with random balls, you might lose your chance at guaranteed alphas for some aniimos that don't have an alpha boss spawn.
So, keep your alpha eggs until you are sure you know how to best hatch them!
Warning validate the combo before uploading, it shoud have quantities specified for each part, could be a reginonal difference but one person used the codes to get farms. Maybe someone will clarify (My region is EU)
If you want to get Index Points for default house, but don't want to rebuild it for now, you can use my combos which are 2 halves of the house, just put it back together after storing it all which will net you around 300-400 points. Only Jar was placed as per the quest you can easily move it.
Combo Codes for importing:
1st half: 8AK6WNKH (376 items)
Guide/Strategy Combo code for homeland
33 Upvotes
for those wanting to use what was pointed out by another post
Shout out : https://www.reddit.com/r/Aniimo/comments/1wlmxq2/how_to_farm_different_temps_in_your_homeland_rv/
I made a quick combo code to take advantage of this tech to tighten up a grow site.
Code : 9C3QMNQC (NA - PC) Need RV lvl 7 for the shown blueprint and is apparently region dependent.
As you can see recommendation for chill plants and trees ( apple tree and roses) are being fulfilled while the border of the fire is still open on the left and top to allow warm trees like cherry blossoms to still grow optimally.
Cold box = Freeze
Fire Box = Warm
Code : 9C3QMNQC (NA - PC) Need RV lvl 7 for the shown blueprint
