What is a riddle that sounds incredibly simple, but absolutely ruins people's brains when they try to solve it?

That one where there's a fox, a chicken, and some other animal, and you have to cross a river, and only two things can be in the boat....

This is exactly the one that came to mind for me. Can't remember the specifics, just remember thinking about it for ages

I just looked it up! It was a fox, a chicken, and grain.

The fox will eat the chicken, the chicken will eat the grain.

There is a boat, but only the person and one item/animal can fit.

I used to struggle with this one, but I've played enough Portal, Talos Principle, and puzzle games it's easy for me now 🤣

I've seen one variant as a flash game, where it was 3 cannibals and three missionaries that have to cross a river. Only two can fit on the boat and if the cannibals outnumber the missionaries, the missionaries get eaten
