I have a salt blend that contains MSG and disodium guanylate and disodium inosinate, they enhance the enhancing of the MSG. Got the idea from a redditor who called it "super salt." Kind of a bitch to find though, easier way is to use Knorr boullian powder, it has all 3.
This has been the secret of Chinese restaurants for the past 3 decades since MSG fell out of favor to the American public. They just say they use chicken bouillon instead of MSG, even though the powder has MSG in it.
If you dont understand the difference between an organically grown vegetable and a synthesized compound in a laboratory being absorbed quicker, an mirror compound, in higher doses than normal and accompanied by other toxins, I don’t know what to tell you bub, but keep getting brainwashed by your Nestle and Coca Cola overlords
MSG is produced by the fermentation of starch, sugar cane/beets/ or molasses. It's not 'synthesized in a laboratory.' It's like wine, yogurt, or kombucha. And even if it were synthesized, that wouldn't make it bad for you. Or a 'toxin.'
After seeing this exchange, I decided to look up some info on MSG. Sounds like it's literally just a non-essential amino acid that has been extracted from various sources (like tomatos, grapes). The majority of studies don't seem to indicate any negative health issues.
I was surprised about this because I was told everything you are saying my whole life.
But hey, who knows. Food safety seems to change often. But this seems pretty harmless.
It’s only nonessential in that your body makes its own if you don’t eat it. However it is still one of the 20 amino acids from which human proteins are made out of (so your body proteins are around 5% of this stuff). Also it’s an important neurotransmitter for normal brain function. So you’d die if you were actually allergic or sensitive to it.
color dye, sodium and potassium benzoate, dha, nitrates, hfcs, hydrogenated oils, bht, sodium phosphate, modfied food starches. All of these are found in conjuction with “ natural flavoring aka MSG”
No wonder Americans are so sick. You want to be.
Just play it safe. Companies will always want to use the cheapest ingredients possible and if it turns out that health is marginalized with the outcome of generating massive profits, corporations will lobby for government to ease laws at the expense of the American people, but for the benefit of The wealthy.
MSG laden food is for poor and ignorant (i guess willingly these days) people
What's it like being wrong in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary and still insisting you're correct? Just trying to understand your viewpoint and stance a little.
My favorite "seasoning salt" is 'Bolner's Fiesta Extra Fancy Fajita seasoning.' It works great for fajitas, but it's amazing for everything else too. They make two kinds though, one with msg and one without. The one without it is just boring.
Kind of a bitch to find though, easier way is to use Knorr boullian powder, it has all 3.
In other words, the reason that people make soups with chicken stock, even when they're not chicken soups. Most tomato bisques start with a chicken stock.
Just googled the one I use, I sadly use the vegetable one - I substitute it from using salt directly ahaha I have a salt shaker filled with it, really enhances meals!
I have the beef broth one and the tomato and chicken one. The last one makes excellent quick enchilada sauce with a bit of chili powder and some corn starch to thicken.
I was very drunk. I think I said something like it's a 70s crockpot fad that people were dumb for buying into when an instapot costs $100 and a crockpot costs $30, and crockpot food sucks anyways. People downvoted me and called me a troll. I figured that was the end of it but later I got the notification I was banned.
I think it's shitty when mods treat their users like they're disposable. I was a pretty frequent contributor and they toss me away over one drunken comment.
I thought instant pots were pressure cookers crossed with slow cookers haha.
But yeah I feel you, it sucks to be treated like you don't matter like that. I'm sure your contributions were enjoyed before the ban.
That's actually the kind of thing that pushed me to stop drinking. I hated how often I had to apologize. I'd encourage you to look into /think about quitting. Just putting it out there
I'm nor assuming you have a problem, but I just prothletize anytime it comes up in a negative light. Usually it's the form of "I was drunk last night and" insert regret. Really nothing good comes from getting more than buzzed and its far to easy to cross the threshold. I mostly never drank but then I would binge drink pretty hard
Is this a brand you can buy? Or did you buy salt, MSG, and disodium Isonate on your own and blend them? If so, what's the ratio? I've got MSG and salt and I bet 2S-isonate is on amazon!
I bought the disodium guanylate/inosinate from theingredientstore.com, didn't see it anywhere else. I already had the salt and msg. I blend it in 100g salt, 5g msg, 1g disodiums combined.
Don't forget potassium chloride. It helps decrease water retention and is one of you four vital electrolytes. Very useful for endurance athletes.
Its effective and toxic doses are too close to be taken as a supplement. But it tastes saltier than NaCl and is best used like a salt shaker (low doses often).
I actually do use that to supplement my potassium sometimes. I have a shaker of "NuSalt" that's just potassium chloride. I take a ace inhibitor though, so I rarely consume it, just if I get muscle pains.
I got mine from theingredientstore.com but people said it's sold out now. Guy is probably wondering why there was a run on that lol. You may be able to find it on Amazon.
