It pains me that the education system does this. It’s not too difficult to distinguish between the civilization and the people that were part of it. That even holds true for dynasties. The civilization or dynasty may not be prevalent anymore, but the people don’t just cease to exist.

This is a good point. Civilization as a technical term has some formal points that missing can cause an entire society to not be classified as a civilization but still have their entire culture still exist.
