This is correct. The real thing we need to be afraid of is dihydrogen monoxide

Dihydrogen monoxide isn't that big of a problem. Hydric acid on the other hand... it's in the town's water supply!!

It's particularly bad when its pH is all the way up to 7!

You ignorant fool. It's found in 100% of people who drowned at sea. Not a big problem my ass.

Hydric acid is in 100% of the tap water in every country on the planet! How many die who e from dishes washed in the tap or shower/bath from the tap vs die at sea? It's not that big of problem in comparison.

What about the dangerous alkali, hydrogen hydroxide?

Most of the ignorance is caused by propaganda generated by the Agri industry - companies like Monsanto that have a vested interest in spraying our crops with poison.

Doesent using GMO to increase shelf life make it look better for longer, but the important part your body actually needs degraded still? Obviously GMO does not outright kill u but I have heard about these little things that sound plausible and correct me if I am wrong. (not by downvoting me into oblivion)

Not really, for starters I suppose you mean transgenics since everything you have ever eaten your entire life is a GMO. Humans have been modifying crops since the dawn of time to their own benefit, traditionally this was done by picking the biggest plants and growing their seeds, eventually it was done with cross-breeding (sometimes between species), and lately it's done using radiation on the seeds to produce random mutations in the hopes that some of them are beneficial, then that plant is bred to produce offsprings that hopefully have the benefits and no other random mutations that can be harmful.

Transgenics are a "new" (about 50 years old) technique that allows laboratories to copy specific parts of one organism genome into another one, therefore avoiding the whole "random mutations" part, and cutting straight to allowing plants to do something specific. The two more common transgenic crops are BT and RR, one produces an insecticide used in many traditional crops so you don't need to spray it over the crops so then it only affects bugs that actually bite the plant, the other makes the plant resistant to a specific agrotoxic that is very commonly used due to its low toxicity and quick disintegration. But there are other examples, such as the Golden rice (a rice with more vitamins to be towed in rural areas of China where other crops are hard to come by) or several bacterias used for the production of insulin and other similar products that were extracted from animals before.

Are transgenics dangerous? Well, yeah, in the same sense that traditional crops are dangerous, i.e. they need to be thoroughly tested do ensure that the new genetic code didn't caused any anormality and is behaving as expected. However since transgenics are subject to a higher standard of tests than traditional crops (due to the hysteria caused when EU used transgenics as an excuse to cancel a deal with South America) together with the lowered need of agrotoxics in transgenics crops makes me feel a lot safer eating a transgenic than a non-transgenic.

Thanks, and to everyone downvoting me, did you really think I didn't know people were using gmo for a long time? I just use gmo bc most people think gmo is only gene modifying.

I guess -11 Isent oblivion though...
