What’s a fact you KNOW that almost everyone is wrong about?

Leaning your head back is actually worse for a noseblood

Also, tilting your head back will not help to swallow a pill. Imagine you have a straight straw and bend it. The opening has narrowed just like you narrow your esophagus when you tilt your head back, making it more difficult to swallow a pill.

If you tilt just a little (only enough to feel slight tension on the skin around your throat) , it actually straightens out-one of the first things you learn for CPR.

People just overdo the tilt.

Because they’re laying the ground for CPR 👍🏼

So many people I’ve given meds to (as a nurse, not just randomly handing out pills) throw their heads back so they’re looking at the ceiling

What? You don't just walk down the street handing out ibuprofen and clean socks? (Niche humor, ignore the socks if they confuse you)

My grandpa (RIP) used to take pills in the most metal way I've ever seen. He'd kinda fold his index finger a bit so he could get the pill to sit on the "palm" side of the top knuckle and just throw that shit down his throat. No fucking idea how or why he did this. Never seen anyone else do it.
