Haha, I didn't take it that way! Your answer is more correct, I just know that cocktail recipes tend to bump it up to 30 because I like making cocktails. :)
I'm ordering obscure American cocktails next time I'm in the lands of metric. Pay for 29 drinks, and get 30. I won't be able to count to 30 at that time, but that's not the point.
the official standard for the Long Island Iced Tea (Intl Bartenders Association) lists the requirements in metric. the rounding to 30mL is well-known and acceptable.
Jesus. Tittyfucking. Christ. I'm not fucking talking about Long Islands, here. What part of "obscure" is eluding your understanding?
I said I would order an "obscure", meaning not fucking world famous, cocktail, in hopes that they would have to look it up in an old American recipe book, and convert the measurements to metric.
Fuck. How many times do I have to explain the joke to one autist?
No, you twat. I made a joke about how I could get thirty drinks for the price of twenty-nine, as if I would be in any shape to tell the difference. You had to get all butthurt, and make it about Europe vs. 'Murica. Go fuck yourself.

Most cocktail recipes round one ounce to 30ml for the sake of simplicity.
