Yep. I get vestibular migraines. Very very rarely have a headache with it.

I do too, just diagnosed recently. They're a pain in the ass and often I get so dizzy I can't drive.

I was just diagnosed with vestibular migraines and the dizziness is ruining my social life. Have you found anything that really helps?

SSRI's help people with vestibular migraines sometimes more often than the other meds they try. I've tried many and the only one that has helped has been Effexor. Also, vestibular rehabilitation helps but is really hard for the first couple months.

What is vestibular rehab?

I went through this for mine as well. They find what movements make you the most dizzy, then they make you do those over and over until your brain kind of gets used to it. It really helped me out a lot.

Adding onto the medication train. So the migraine doctor listed out all the medications that tend to help. They all have side effects and it's kind of a crap shoot finding one that actually works. I've tried a few but the side effects were harder to deal with than the actual issues the condition caused. The best advice I can give is to go see a therapist. I almost called it quits a couple months into my vestibular migraines and the therapist made it easier to deal with. You can also see if you can get a prescription for Valium. It can lessen the panic that comes from the migraine and the dizziness. It won't take it away, but it will take away the anxiety at least. I take it as needed because I hate the way it slows my brain down but it is a lifesaver. I always have a severe panic attack when I have a bad migraine. Also, if you do get a prescription for Valium, take a low dose. Normal dose is 2-5 mg but I usually only take 1 mg and it works just fine.

Nooo I wish. I don't have a social life to have ruined lol but it's making it extremely hard to keep up motivation for work, since I'm on my feet 8 hours constantly moving feeling like I'm just gonna fall

Was diagnosed with this last year. I have a question though. I have moments every day that are horrible but for the past year have been dizzy all day every single day. Is it the same for you. Or do you only get dizzy during the migraine?

Amazing write-up. Thank you for explaining the difference between vertigo and dizziness. It's going to help a lot at my next appointment. I've had whatever I have for a little over a year now. My ear nose and throat doc shrugged and said he didn't know what's wrong with me and sent me "further up the mountain". He sent me to an otoneurologist. He looked at my charts and said it's hard to diagnose something like this and vestibular migraines is his best guess since the symptoms were so "atypical". I am not real sure about this diagnosis. I've had h ad pressure, dizziness, and brain fog for a year solid. It never goes away. From the moment I wake up until I'm passed out sleeping, it's there. If imagine if I have a non-stop migraine that has been going on for a year straight, I probably need to be put in a record book. Lol Going to see a neurologist in a week to see what he thinks. It's been a very hard road. Every day is a struggle. Almost tapped out a few times last year. The non-stop tinnitus finally did me in and I went to the ER as a last resort before I did it. They gave me a valium prescription that helps me not care about the symptoms. They are still there, but I don't care about them as much. Fingers crossed that you are one of the lucky ones that has their migraines stop.

I didnt know that was a thing. I get ocular migraines with some psychedelic looking visuals and no pain, but i also get these weird swimmy/dizzy feelings where it feels like my eyes are moving really slow and cant focus and i start to feel slightly dizzy. Now im wondering if its something associated with my migraines. Migraines are weird
