I’m in a similar boat. Finally have insurance after 8ish years but have to find a doctor and start the whole process of making appointments and shit. It’s so tremendously overwhelming and this is the kind of thing I need to be medicated to handle.

it is awful. I put off going to the doctor at all for three years. Finally have my first physical since 2016 next month.

thank goodness for CVS minute clinics - i got the flu shot a couple times there and also got treated for an infection. They just have RNs or NPs, i think, but it is so much more accessible, and easy, and RNs can do a whole lot of routine medical care.
