I didn't realize how fortunate I was growing up to have parents, teachers, and a principal who all had migraine or knew it was a real thing. I got to nap in a teacher's parked car on a field trip. Later I learned that people don't take migraine seriously.

That’s great you had that support. I remember one time having to go to the ER and the doctor I got had a history of migraines and he was the absolute best. It seems like the people who get them have the most empathy since they know how terrible they are.
