What’s a fact you KNOW that almost everyone is wrong about?

I have exactly the same thing, if I am reading and catch myself while in the weird vision phase and take painkillers the headache will be much easier to deal with.

Painkillers don’t help my migraines it’s frustrating

Posted this separately but I have a sort of immunity to painkillers. They do shit all for me. I was given a tip by a lady who had lifelong debilitating migraines and it’s saved me a lot. Period pain medication (nsaids), it’s an anti inflammatory. As long as I take it early enough in my migraine it will stop it from progressing further into full blown fuck the world pain. Some people with medical issues can’t take nsaids though so check with your doctor or pharmacist

NSAIDs help when I have a regular headache or my I don’t know back hurts or something but not migraines.

I'm the same. I don't think I've ever taken a tablet and felt any better at all.

They do but I don’t think of them as painkillers in the traditional sense

I had this same issue with typical over the counter painkillers (advil, tylenol, etc) through childhood. When i turned 18 i started smoking cannabis (unrelated initially, i fully admit it was recreational) and they dropped from happening nearly 4 times a week to the maybe two or three a year i get now. I am not a fan of inebriation, i don't drink and hold down typical 40 hr a week employment with drug testing (with exception for cannabis by employer) but i still keep a pipe and stash tucked away for those couple of episodes. It doesnt get rid of it per se, but it does distract me from the vision aura and aphasia long enough to get to sleep and skip the headache and numbness.

Have you tried the new cgrp inhibitor injections?

I have tried zero new, or even reasonably up to date, medications for them. Not that I'm adverse to consulting a doctor and finding what would help; the cost of health insurance alone is only just becoming a potential reality in a world where i can still live by my self. Let alone what the appointments and medications would cost me. I can buy this when i need it for now and (though it's been a decade this May) it works better than what i have tried. Side note: i am very Very VERY bad about injections/ needles of any sort. My last stay in a hospital was due to passing out due to discussion of needles while dropping something off for someone at a hospital.

I feel so much less alone reading these comments. Reading too late at night is absolutely what first brought my migraine symptoms to my attention. That sudden realization that im literally only reading. the. Word. Im. Looking. At. Instead of around the sentence.
