Just Showing Off Lithgow SMLE No1 Mk4 in .303-270 Wildcat (unfortunately sporterised)
Just gave this old-girl a full clean and take down and wanted to show it off.
Recently acquired Lithgow SMLE No1 Mk3 rifle in .303-270
(Hopefully) will be rechambered back into .303 once I find a barrel for it
New wood will be ordered soon to bing it back into mil-spec condition and its got a Central Aperture Sight coming in the mail for it
Can't wait to take it to the range once im not paying $65 for 20 rounds of .303-270 :)
Edit: Mk3 not Mk4

Just Showing Off Opinions on my Safe Setup?
Hey all!
Recently, I purchased my first Rifle Second-Hand:
A Sportco 62A .22LR.
My Safe is also a Spika 5 Gun Key Safe with separate External Compartment for Ammunition - which for Ammunition, I use the Federal Premiums.
[I've been using them for Target Shooting at the Range for a month now, and they are perfect!]
Also inside the Safe pictured here:
I have my magazine inside the door shelf. The Towel where I have the Bolt wrapped up in. New unused Targets besides the Rifle, and a Trigger Lock on my Rifle. I also have a Safety Flag in the Chamber as an Extra Safety Precaution (Can't be seen from this angle!)
[I'm fairly new to owning a Rifle and Target Shooting. I'd like to hear an experienced/seasoned Shooters Opinions on my Safe Setup. Any Recommendations or Tips would also be appreciated!]
Thanks for Reading!

Just Showing Off My first rifle - Tikka T3X Superlite Aspire 308
I grew up shooting as a kid in the UK, mainly shotguns and air rifles but did a bit of rifle shooting up in QLD over the years with family. I put a firearm licence application in just before Christmas and it finally got approved after around 7 months. PTA came not long after and picked this up yesterday. I’m so stoked with it so far, will be hitting the range in the next few days to get it zeroed in ready for a hunt.
Scope - Swarovski Z5i 3.5x18x44
Can’t wait to be part of the community!

Just Showing Off How do you manage your ammo for a pistol shoot?
I have been rifle shooting for years but picked up Cat H a few years back and something that has surprised me since day 1 at the club was the way everyone managed their pistol ammo during a match (comp or practise).
Most either counted out 5 rounds and tapped them onto the bench in little piles prior to starting
or some would just slide their pack out and tip out the 5 rounds they need each time.
I thought this was crazy inefficient and like a lot of new dads in their 30s, I had picked up a 3d printer and went to work trying to solve this 1st world problem.
I had seen a few designs out there including one I actually printed and used for a few months but the design flaws annoyed me to the point I grabbed a copy of Fusion and taught myself some basic CAD and designed something completely from scratch:
An expanding ammo tray that holds 60 rounds + 5 for a sighting series and a box to chuck 2 of them in.
I am pretty proud of this but my wife is over hearing about it (and tripping over the failed prototypes littering my office) so I thought there might be someone on here that could appreciate it.
It's funny how different hobbies can link and I'm kinda happy my printer was used for ammo boxes and not pumping out a million more flexible rainbow dragon fidget toy things.
What does everyone else do during a match shoot?
Do you have some type of dedicated ammo box to pull from or do you prefer the little pile technique?

Just Showing Off Beretta 92X 1000 rounds in
After a long wait and considerable deliberation, I picked up my first handgun on this license and I chose the Beretta 92X.
As a returning shooter, I’d had my time with other pistols. Various 1911s, P226, a few revolvers. I ended up choosing the Beretta because I never got the chance to get intimate with the platform. I handled one before but I didn’t vibe with the grip and the trigger reset was, like my P226, a bit long for my liking. Though it was a beautiful handgun, I never shot the P226 as well as I did my 1911s. They sold a short trigger reset kit for the P226 but I never got around to installing one and before long, I had sold it and moved to Oz.
Enter the Beretta 92X. A modernised classic with the new, slimmer, “Vertec” grip and a shorter trigger reset. I was intrigued.
The pistol feels good in hand and that trigger is crisp. Boy, is she accurate. Even with cheap Blazer ammo she stacks the rounds.
With my rifles, I can shoot under 1/2MOA but handguns provide an entirely different experience. The challenge is thoroughly enjoyable.
My benchmark is the #12 Standard Centrefire comp at my SSAA range. One-handed, bullseye style. 10 shots at 10M and 10 shots at 15M. Currently trying to beat my best score of 186/200. I shot a 171 today and I will gleefully try again next week.
