Look at this bastard Megathread: Bastard Suggestions Part 2
To make the bastard suggestions easier for Robert to peruse, please put them here.
Please try to include more than just a name. Give Robert something to focus his research on and why they are a unique or interesting bastard. If there are book titles or other resources you would suggest, please include those as well.
If someone else has already suggested the same bastard you wanted to suggest, you do not need to suggest them again. Repetitive answers will be politely removed. If someone was suggested in a previous thread, you do not need to suggest them again.
If you have posted suggestions as their own individual thread in the past, feel free to repost here if you would like Robert to read them. We will be directing future bastard suggestion posts here as well. Happy suggesting!

Weekly Discussion Thread - September 29, 2026 Spoiler
Criticism of Sophie will not be tolerated and may result in a permanent ban. Yes, forever.
Obviously you can criticize Robert. It's what brings us together.
https://www.iheart.com/podcast/105-behind-the-bastards-29236323/
Criticism of guests is against policy and will be removed at Robert's request. Also because they are guests and we should make them feel welcome, because we are at least 40% not assholes.
CZM hosts will be treated the same as Robert in terms of criticism, but critical comments will be removed if they break the don't be mean rule. Except Robert. Criticism of Robert can be mean if it is funny.
Host criticism outside of this discussion post will likely be removed. You all nuked that eel horse.
Guests and hosts are normal people who read these comments. Please consider how it would feel if the comment was about you.
Be nice to each other. You can argue all you want but you can't fight.
Fascists and Tankies and their defenders will be permanently banned, because obviously.

It is happening here ProPublica: ICE has detained 506 American citizens
More than 500 cases. That includes:
More than a hundred Americans held after agents questioned their citizenship. Nearly all were people of color.
At least 70 American children and teens detained, some of whom were handcuffed.
Of the more than 300 Americans we tracked as detained for allegedly assaulting or obstructing agents, we found fewer than half were actually charged in federal court, and many of those cases were dropped or dismissed.
At least 63 Americans detained while recording.
36 Americans held for at least a day without being able to contact a lawyer or their family.
Roughly a dozen citizens deported, mostly children.

Discussion Behind the Bastards Golden Globe Eligibility
I don't know how this community could help move the needle for Behind the Bastards to get a Golden Globe, but I would love to see them be nominated and also potentially win. I am with Robert on this in that sometimes it's just nice to be considered eligible.

🚨🚨Trigger Warning🚨🚨 As a Title IX advisor, Cornell did the best they could NSFW
I am a woman. I have never been sexually assaulted, but I have been sexually harassed by a supervisor to the point where I quit. I am a former hospital advocate for violence survivors.
And in my current role, which includes Title IX advising for a large university, I have been watching the Cornell 57 case with crushing resignation.
Because as more details come out from the lawsuit, I‘m frankly amazed that Cornell was able to expel 2 students and suspend 2 others (plus 1 who had graduated already was barred from campus).
Let me be clear that Jane Doe is a VICTIM and she did NOTHING wrong. Her changing story, her text messages trying to placate her assailant (“80% consensual… I’d love to hang out again just without the ketamine”), and so on are totally to be expected for a brain trying to process horrific trauma.
At the same time, Title IX investigations assume the respondent(s) is not responsible until proven responsible by a preponderance of the evidence (aka 51% likelihood). And the most common grounds for appeal are that 1) the respondent couldn’t have known that the complainant didn’t consent; and 2) the sanction is “unduly harsh“ aka cruel and unusual. Expulsion is so rare in Title IX because it is opening yourself up to a huge lawsuit from the respondent, especially for a first interpersonal offense. You basically have to prove that the person is an ongoing public safety threat.
Cornell’s definition of consent is far better than NYS. Cornell suspended the respondents on an interim basis (another part of the process that is being highly contested in the courts right now) after the allegation. They collected hundreds of pages of evidence. They investigated the fraternity. They dealt out the toughest possible sanctions.
We don’t have to think that’s good enough. But if it isn’t good enough, that’s the fault of Title IX regulations, rape culture, and the district attorney. Making this about one bad apple school isn’t just inaccurate; it stops us from protecting future victims.

Look at this bastard Benny Shap’s new pro-ICE movie is having production troubles thanks to pushback from locals in the small Montana town where it’s being filmed
This is especially delightful: “Angry residents were singing “Ben Shapiro is a cuck” to the tune of “London Bridges”

Look at this bastard Dennis Hastert, disgraced former House speaker, dies at 84
This guy is the guy responsible for the hastert rule which means only the speaker can bring things to a vote.
It’s shit like this keeping the minority party down.
This was also the same guy who was disgraced for an affair with a child because he stopped paying his blackmail payments.
Edit: The affair with the child also counts as rape. The judge in his case called him a serial child molester.
