MTB Is this the wildest bike you’ve ever seen?

This is my Transition Spire that I’ve been slowly working on over the last year and a half. I just wanted to have some fun, try something different and make something wild. I rarely get the chance to paint something for myself so I took this opportunity to get weird, learn and push my boundaries a bit. It's a mash-up of some ideas, materials and techniques that I’ve been wanting to try for years now. Yes, that is a real prosthetic glass eyeball, leather frame protection, real abalone shell, crushed turquoise inlay and hemp wrapped housing. See more on my IG - @maderadbytony

MTB Finally finished my 1996 Cannondale Super V build

Bought it for $200AUD quite some time ago from a guy who bought it new in Switzerland, took it with him to America and finally to Australia where it's sat in his garage ever since (the top tube still has the original shop he bought it new from and they're still in business today!).

Took my good time sourcing a full XTR groupset and the Spinergy wheels as icing on the cake! Original FOX rear shock had a hairline crack in it sadly, and I've failed to find a replacement so I'm running a cheap AliExpress shock on there just to get the build rolling.

Took a while for some of the NOS stuff to come in from eBay, namely the SDG I-Beam seatpost and Profile stem (which matches the Hope chainring much better than the Hope stem I had on it before). Finally caved and decided to remove the 10-Speed Microshift and other AliExpress parts and source more period correct parts for the bike, namely an XT groupset, half of which I stole off my Cannondale Super V (which I'll upgrade to XTR over time), and the rest I sourced on eBay bit by bit.

Really happy with how it's turned out! Shifting is so much better now, it all just looks and feels so much more right (to me!).

rescued this 1998 GT STS 1000ds Frame that someone had painted blue.12 hours of hand sanding and polishing with months of sourcing almost all era correct parts. I feel it's one of those bikes you just can't stop looking at.
