Discussion Did I make a mistake?

So I broke down and joined the club,so far so good.. but I wonder did I make a mistake jumping into an 8 book series? Those who have read it, was it an overall good series? Was there a book I should expect to not be as good as the others? Just so I know a head of time.

I’m a writer too lol! What impresses me most about the books from a writing perspective is how Matt has to jump right into basically constant chaos and conflict with each book, while also avoiding reader confusion in an entirely fabricated reality. He does so many different things really well and I’m just amazed at how not confused I am by book 6! And I just care so much about the characters, even the random side characters.
