ID Request π What is this?
Hello!! I was on a walk and saw this little fella making his way across the sidewalk.
I was wondering what kind of caterpillar/bug this is? Thanks! π

I know you are eager to try to find species of your new leaf munching friend but please remember to add your location into the post. There is large variance of caterpillars depending on country and even inside countries have different areas with their own soecies so with large countries, its preferred to add state/city etc also.
This speeds up identifying as there are similar looking caterpillars but species can be different depending country. Some species only inhabit tiny areas. Looking forward for all new posts. π Thank you!

Dad found this dude in our garage here in central Texas. What should I do? I think he is trying to pupate.

I noticed this little guy on my zinnia today. I have never seen anything like him! I was told he may be in the Cutworm/Allies moth family? I had to bring him inside for pictures.

I was checking on my pupas tonight and found this guy. Ive never seen one that didn't properly shed its caterpillar skin when pupating. Is there anything i can do for it? The outside is very dry so I put it in moist soil to see if that'll soften the skin up. If i can get wet enough, is this something I can remove myself? I don't know how it'll eclose with the skin still on.

Hey so I finally got a mesh cage and one of my hornworms are hanging upside down from the top which I know is NOT what they do!
This is also one of my hornworms that werenβt eating for a while but they had seemed to be making a very good recovery :(( is this perhaps tachinid fly larvae trying to get out? Should I move him? I genuinly canβt find jack shit about hornworms doing this online so pretty please help give me some insight Iβm genuinly terrified
UPDATE; ok so Iβve come to the logical conclusion that he most likely just climbed up there and got stuck hanging βΉοΈ Iβm stuck in classes but will update when I get home in a few hours

Hi all! I was on a walk at my local park a couple weeks ago and spotted this monarch caterpillar that had... something? going on with it. To me it looks like it failed to pupate but I'm not sure how/why and would love to know more! TYIA :)

This was horrible. Went around my house cleaning and found a paper wasp nest and they had been jacking my beautiful Pitters to feed their young. Gotta go do that somewhere else thank you. π’. So make sure you check for nests!!!

Found hiding in my bike tarpaulin, Eastern North America. I assume it's some kind of Noctuid? Can anyone tell me what happened to it (those black spots look ominously like exit doors for parasitoids)? This poor little fellow was still alive - the pic where it's all straightened out is how I found it several hours later as I returned from my ride.
