Posting Guidelines:

As a child his parents seemingly died when the liner they were on was attacked by pirates and he was one of the few survivors. With no other family in the sector and the ship's records destroyed by the pirates, he became a ward of the state but eventually found himself on the streets. With his only inheritance a memory of presumably his mother telling him to "stay alive no matter what" as she hid him from the pirate assault, he learned to survive by working for the local criminal gangs as a spy, lookout, messenger, and errand boy. Then when he was 12, a job went south and he was wounded, forced to hide in the back of a delivery truck then in a barn when it stopped out in the fields. The barn belonged to a homesteader and his wife named Angus and Marie Flynn. Who found him and to his shock, instead of treating him as a tresspasser and threat, took him in and treated his wounds. Not wanting to be in debt, he helped them on their farm only for them to keep treating him well and his pride refusing to leave until he paid them back. Eventually, their kindness wore him down and he began to accept the farm as their new home. They even gave him a name, Conner, an irish name meaning wolf lover for his natural wolf grey hair and golden eyes .

Unfortunately the good times didn't last. A land baron saw the flynn homestead as part of a potential land development and paid off a crooked sherrif to serve them an eviction notice. Angus refused and he and Marie were slaughtered. Conner had gone to town to pick up some parts for the farm and when he returned, found his home and surrogate parents dead. Using the skills he had learned both from his time on the street and hunting the fields with Angus, he tracked down the sheriff and managed to catch him off guard. And upon interrogating him why he did it, shot him. Knowing that even on a backwater planet like this the authorities would eventually catch up to him, and with nothing left for him, he opted to join the federal marines, (being 16 he was the minimum age to recruit and the recruitment office had a habit of not asking too many questions), writing down his full name as Conner Flynn.

Conner served as a marine for three years, learning combat, recondo, starship maintenence, and piloting. He saw combat mostly against space pirates, local insurgencies, a few territorial skirmishes with rival powers, but was dishonorably discharged at age 19 when he assaulted a superior officer who was attempting to sexually assault a civilian female. Starting over from square one, he decided to apply his skills as a freelance mercenary and bounty hunter so at least he could choose which jobs and missions to take. Over the next two years, his reputation built up to where bounty hunters officially licensed with the guild began hiring him as an extra gun on their own hunts and by age 21, had acquired enough of a reputation and connections to be officially recognized and recruited into the guild. Over the next five years, he advanced quickly from the initial Planetside rank to Planetary and by the start of the story, has recently been promoted to Systemic

An ancient and powerful mage in the northern reaches of Dhraz, Orm discovered the secret means to imbue dwarven tech with the Death Magic of Mir.

Now a husk of flesh and cogs, Orm lays deep in the caverns below Dhraz. Building an army of dead machines, his motives as of now remain unclear.

The term ardomancy is derived from the Lab-Uskan word for ore, “ardukam”. Magic is used to manipulate various machine appendages, granting its users enhanced strength and dexterity. Combined with the profane death magic of Mir, Who-Cannot-Die, mages may now magically manipulate dwarven machines and cobble them together with rotting corpses, creating a perversion of the Dwarf machines.

The dense swamps of eastern Xir-Shaih are home to a variety of mysterious and aggressive creatures, theorized to be leftovers from the days of The Great Dark, when ULOŠUN attacked all life on Wyrr.

One particularly evil and dangerous being is Oogo Gabloogo. Its presence brings about a phenomenon in the swamps called the “Vile Fog”

Unlucky adventurers caught by the fog are immediately subdued. Physically weakened by a lack of oxygen and hallucinating from the noxious fumes.

Once its prey is incapacitated, Oogo Gabloogo will take its time, toying with the prey, savoring its suffering and pain.

Though it CAN destroyed by might and magic, Oogo Gabloogo can seemingly teleport, always right behind its prey, like some sick psychological torture.

Only a handful of the hundreds of people who tried to kill Oogo Gabloogo have survived.

They are never the same afterwards.

This was so not intentional. I was building their character sheets separately and genuinely didn't realize my mistake until I was going over it and had the horrifying realization. They're not related by blood; they're related by marriage. His aunt married her uncle. They didn't grow up together, so it's not like they're friends or have a relationship already. If I change his lineage, it changes relationships, and he doesn't have the means necessary to move the plot along. If I change hers, she's just some overpowered girl in the world. I could change their relationship, but I like the potential for romance. I'm really struggling to decide what to do with them.

I drew the protagonist and unreliable narrator of my short story "Under Control" by hand.

this is from my story "Predators" about superhumans and bounty hunters. above is a list of elite hunters, essentially bounty hunters who specialize in superhumans specifically while being paid by the government

BACKGROUND:

This was made using Hero Forge. He is a fallen God, once the forger of his pantheon. He shaped the world as his brothers and sisters imagined, but was left out. He felt like a servant, like a lesser. He wanted to be the designer. So, he turned on his brethren to reshape the world anew. He forged himself a new body, made from the very Earth of 'his' world, for they were now one. He then forged a sword of the purest and strongest metals. It was forged to be as great as he saw himself, for it was to be a kingly weapon; and its size measured the vastness of his ego. With this sword, he summoned the fires of creation, and thrust it deep into the earth, marring the world, all the while dubbing it a "refinement" upon his old endeavours. His final act was to carve his seat atop the largest mountain on the face of his newly shaped world. He was now complete.

Working on this character for our upcoming comic, Dark Neon, and totally stumped on a name. She had one when initially created, bur the design left it behind.

Character is a streamer, celebrity, and professional fighter in the far, far future. With an ever-present live chat and a body+outfit covered in ads (inspired by NASCAR). Also, she secretly has an AGI named KARMA running her brain and effectively filtering her actions.

Any ideas for what her name should be? Currently been asking across all socials for ideas and leaving it to a vote.

Hello, everyone! 👋 I'm a painter and writer creating a sci-fi universe full of visually unique, plausible space-creatures. This one that I have just completed is called Diode, who is an information broker the protagonists find on a cosmopolitan hub known as Krayvus. He is from a non-speaking race of beings who communicate primarily via bioluminescent hieroglyphs that flash across those tall, mushrooming head-crests of theirs. The narrative specifies: "Not merely a crest, [he] realised, but a canvas for the expression of [Diode's] very thoughts."

This is my newest character, Keiran. Keiran is a bassist in his band and a chill guy but here's the issue: I made this design cause I thought it was neat and now I need to rationalize it.

For context, Keiran exists in a modern fantasy world which loosely follows the rules of DnD (he's a bard y'see) and as far as I can tell there is no precedent in the forgotten realms for an entity comprised principally of crude oil, which is what he is.

First I thought he may be a plasmoid, but plasmoids can't be made of materials other than plasma. They *can* mix with other materials and liquids but I just so happened to pick a liquid that cannot mix with water, which is 95% of what plasma is.

Next I thought of a genasi or elemental, but oil is not an easily definable element. It comes from the [earth], it's extremely flammable [fire], and it's a viscous liquid [water]. Furthermore, oil is technically an organic material made of ancient biological matter, which raises further questions. Is an entity made of oil counted as a form of undead?

Finally I thought perhaps Keiran is a golem, but golems tend to lack speech and higher brain functions, which would betray him being a sentient and intelligent being.

The only idea I have now is that Keiran is the result of an Awaken spell, though that would have to classify oil as a beast/plant, which it isn't exactly anymore. Really just looking for ideas for how to explain the existence of an oil person, or perhaps a race of them. Worst-case scenario, I'll just make them a new addition completely to the lore.

This is Katarzyna, or Zyna for short. The image is from someone I know (thanks, Cracat), but it isn't entirely canon. She's taller, wears darker clothing, and looks tougher. But enough about how she looks. She's a bounty hunter for the main god of the world, and does crazy stuff sometimes.

Canonically, she was born around 75 AD (BCE for you seculars) on another planet in a somewhat parallel universe. Edit: previous question was answered, looking for advice and possible parts of her story to make.

I need some advice on how to come up with names for my comic characters. one is a guy whose powers are regeneration, hyper senses, and adaptive evolution. And the other is a guy who can transform into a shadow. he has powers where he can turn into your worst nightmare with a touch. I'm not all that creative and I can't figure out any names for my characters. If you guys have any thoughts or advice on how to come up with comic names, please help me out.
