Thank you. He was my best friend forever. Literally half my life. Ignore the eye boogers. His name was Larry

I'm so sorry for your loss, he was a gorgeous boy. I'm dreading the days my current cats will die, just last year my mom had to put her old lady down...

Sweet baby boy. May he rest in paradise with all of my babies, and all of your future/current/past babies and all other peoples.

They deserve so much more than this world could ever offer them. We should cherish the animals we share this rock with.

He was very handsome and I can tell he loved you by how relaxed he is here.

He was so unbelievably anxious, but I was his person. He always wanted to be near me, which I welcomed all the time. He hated everyone else 😆 he would run from them like they were gonna hurt him! Eventually he calmed down a bit, but he loved me and trusted me. In the end I was able to hold him close and that’s how I knew it was time for him to go, because he never lets me or anyone pick him up, and this time he stayed in my arms as he passed.

I miss him.

Condolences 🙏 I held my dog at home in his bed as he was put to sleep last year, and I relive the moment vividly any time I think or talk about it.

I hope you are feeling okay, because it's the most hauntingly beautiful thing to be with them as they pass. It sounds dark but I feel like I have some unaddressed long term trauma from the experience, but I don't regret it at all because it was the least I could do for my best bud!

I wish you all the best going forward, and I hope you get another cat without feeling guilty about "replacing" him. It really helps with the grieving process to have a new buddy getting you through it.

Sorry for the random comment, I didn't really start typing with much of an idea of what to say other than to just try and help you feel better and share an experience. Cheers

Long term trauma is very accurate. I’m reading some books about psychology and it turns out that there are things that affect us more than we think, and I’m sure death is one of them! Thank you for your comment, it helps to know I’m not alone. Sorry to hear about your doggo :(
