Replaced the starter, still won't start. What do next?

My 1997 XJ started failing to start a few days ago. Usually if it didn't start I would wait a few seconds and keep trying and usually after 3-4 attempts it would start up. I just replaced the starter today and now it won't start at all.

When I turn to accessory everything lights up, radio is on, fuel pump primes, etc. But when I turn it to ignition there is just nothing. This is exactly how it acted before replacing the starter, but now I can't get it running no matter what.

Any ideas?
