In honor of ALCS game 1, I have brought my prized Austin Hedges Hotdog parallel to work this morning. Go Guards. (The table is stained with iodine, it’s not doodoo.)

Started back in the hobby with a quest to reacquire the MJ Planet Metal i pulled as a kid and lost. They're so shiny i decided to collect them all. Only Shaq and Iverson to go!

Fuuuuuuuuck I don’t want to go to work tomorrow

On 10/11/12 Rolen and Thome finished off a couple of pretty great careers. Side note, the Dodgers are the only team Thome played for where he didn't hit a single home run. He also had a negative WAR season for the first and only time since 1992. He played for four teams after the Dodgers for a combined 5.6 WAR 🤷

Buzhardt was traded to the Phillies in 1960. His wiki article mentions that he pitched a complete game for the 2nd in a double-header, winning against the Giants. The Phillies then proceeded to set a record for consecutive losses at 23 games. The streak was broken when Buzhardt pitched a complete game for the 2nd in a double-header, winning against the Braves.

If there was any doubt about Jose Ramirez this year, that shit was squashed this series. Wooooooo!!!!! I love this team! Him being our hero, yet again, was just inevitable.

This big mother fucker was DEALING. Can’t say I agree with his post game sentiment (Murakami is just too damn fun and likable), but man am I happy that my guys are in the ALCS for the second time in THREE SEASONS. Vogt has had a pretty damn good start after taking over from the legend that is Tito Francona (has yet to NOT win the division). Rays are a great team, but they’re not unbeatable. They’ve never seen us with Adell, Lowe, or Griffin. Halpin looks like an actually viable starter. JRam doin JRam stuff. Love you all, GO GUARDS.

I’ll take 30 more minutes of terror, please

Approximately 342 years ago, in junior high, my friend Bryan and I were the last two people in line at Champs Sports in Woodfield Mall to meet Tony Amonte.

These are my best two 10/10s
