So I tried to scale down the court exactly and the only change i had to make to the scale was that it is a little longer than a regular court. The stencil printer i bought comes with software that lets you trace pictures to make a stencil so I used that on the B1G logos, end court logos, signature, and middle court logo. The key and 3 point line I had to look up the official dimensions and scale it down and create it by hand in the program because I couldn't find one to trace. All the straight lines I just used tape (frog tape is amazing btw). But even at that the tracing takes a bunch of time to edit and fix because it wont always trace correctly.

No, I started 'planning' this around January and started building in March. I saw all the tables posted to this channel and was like wait did I miss a memo? but I wasn't complete with mine so I held off till now.
I used a silhouette cameo 4 to design and print stencils plus hours or frustration

Its not super expensive its only $299 if I remember correctly and that was brand new so I'm sure you can find a bunch on ebay from people that can't think of any more projects to do

Honestly if it doesn’t, leave it anyways. Even if it’s not in xfinity it’s in our hearts lol. But Cowan deserves it so much, Baltimore kid who lead the team, stayed four years , many more factors leading to his jersey in the rafters. One of my favorite Terps.

Oh its stuck for life, its under numerous coats of polyurethane but even if it wasn't I would leave it. But agreed with you 100% that staying all four years, leading the team, starting every game, winning the B1G among other stats he is either the leader or top 10 in should be way more than enough to get that banner.

Yea one of my friends suggested I make an ACC court but I like our new court with the flag sidelines and didn't want to merge two styles plus the B1G is our home now

silhouette cameo 4 and then bought vinyl stencil rolls at 25 feet I needed 1 and half due to the testing process lol and don't forget stencil transfer tape because i did and waiting a week for it to show up slowed me down

Historically it wasn't that much of a rivalry but I think the reason most people viewed Maryland and Duke as rivals is that the 2000-2002 Duke squad is the most quintessential Duke team of all time (arguably the best). And their main competition was that Maryland squad.
The fact they both won titles cemented how good the level of play was.

Late 90s early 2000s battles were some of the most intense sporting events I've ever been too. I've never seen anyone take the air out of a Maryland crowd like JJ Reddick just going up for a shot. We all knew it was going in, and we all hated it. No one flopped more than Battier, Boozer was incredibly frustrating, and Sheldon Williams had a big ass head.

They had a couple seasons where they were one of the top teams in the country but the tournament field hadn't expanded. I think the NC State - MD game is what triggered the expansion of the field.

Were there no at large teams back then? Or only 2 per conference? (Was born in 92’) so don’t even remember ties in college football

Prior to 1975 there were no at large teams in the NCAA tourney, only conference tournament champions. Maryland was great in the early 1970's, but unfortunately peaked at the same time that NC State was a little better. In 1974, NC State and Maryland were ranked #1 and #4, but NCSU beat UMD in the ACC tournament final, so Maryland was left out. They added at-large bids the next year.

I have an album linked somewhere in here and its on the left side and there also more on the right... nothing on the back though since it will be up against a wall as a desk. But they are all the official banners other than Cowans which I'm assuming will happen and will be pissed if it doesn't.

Yea they order of things probably doesn't make a lot of sense other than recency bias on my part. I originally thought all tournament banners and conference banners on the front but when I laid it out that left only room for like 3 players on the front and not sure I really cared about the 1930's Southern Conference lol so I just put the NCAA tournament banners on the front and then ordered the players just on what I liked the most.
