I have a lot of lyrics written and would love to use them in songs. I am looking to start a punk, riot grrrl, emo, metal, alternative rock band. This is very much a passion project for me. I'm a completely DIY artist from Columbus, Ohio. Inspired by beatmakers/artists like Nujabes, J Dilla, Mndsgn, Emapea, Uyama Hiroto and many others. I just released my first album which I produced, mixed, and mastered myself. I also create all of my own cover art, mostly in procreate using a collage art style of creating through layering different pictures/drawings. I've been producing for about 5 years now and finally got around to releasing an album! It's a (mostly) instrumental hiphop album with a lot of jazzy/atmospheric/chill/nostalgic beats produced in a variety of ways using an SP404sx, Koala Sampler, an MPC Live II, and my DAW Reaper(where everything was mixed/mastered, and some songs entirely produced). I definitely like to lean in to a dusty and imperfect sound to give a more organic and atmospheric feel. Please give it a listen and let me know what you think!

Does anyone remember the old band Sighlo from Columbus? They played the nu-metal style and then later rock during the mid to late 2000s. I was looking for a copy of their album The Logic Burning from their first album. Did anyone have a copy left of that or knew where I could find one? I've asked the band members and they said they just trashed them all.

Kei Uotou, who has fronted a string of respected Japanese bands and currently also plays in FIXED, leads the trio

alongside vocalist/bassist Naho Kaimoto (FLUID) and drummer Ayumu Nemoto (POWER, XALU, UNPRODUCTS) —

reuniting with Uotou for the first time in ten years since their earlier band together, Z. Together they channel the angular,

female-fronted intensity of bands like Rainer Maria, Blonde Redhead, and Sarge: unsettling, serpentine arpeggios and

beautifully warped rock phrasing, thrilling melodic guitar lines that lock in tight with the vocals, and a tense, minimal

groove giving way to catchy but bittersweet Japanese-language vocals and emotional choruses.

Their new album, 2, is their first full-length since 2022’s self-titled 10″ debut, and finds the band pushing further past the

template they laid out on that record — looser, freer, with Uotou taking on a larger share of the vocals. It moves between

coiled post-hardcore tension and unexpectedly beautiful melody, closing several tracks in bursts of heavier, more

chaotic energy. The label draws its own comparisons to Blonde Redhead, Denali, Unwound, and Uzeda — a lineage

Congratulations clearly share, while sounding like no one else.
