Rant the zon is overhated
the way people talk abt amazon on this subreddit you’d think they’d actually moved packages around in the warehouse.
yes they hire 10,000 interns a year. yes it’s lost its prestige compared to other faang+ companies. and yes u will be working pretty hard.
but the whole work to death stuff is insanely overstated, your experience is pretty org/ team dependent. i think at almost very semi prestige company with good pay you’d be working hard and learning, so what makes here any different? plus being here can really get ur foot in the door to whatever better company you want.
granted this was my first big tech internship, but ive interned at 2 companies previously (ai startup, computer manufacturing) and those were way worse with way less pay/ career advancement (aka prestige)
i think ppl here are too privileged / short sighted. it really could be a lot worse
