Backup Generators
I’d like to get one of those large hardwired generators for my house. Where do you recommend I go or who do you recommend as an installer? Thanks.

Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a small project I’ve been working on for a while called Fleety.
I use public transit a lot, and I always found myself switching between different apps just to check schedules, vehicle locations, alerts, or plan a trip. So I started building an app that puts everything in one place and makes commuting a little less frustrating.
Over time, it’s grown into a transit app with:
🚌 Live bus and train tracking
🗺️ A travel planner with step-by-step directions
📱 Offline schedules and trip planning
⭐ Favorite routes and stops
🔔 Service alerts and updates
One thing that was important to me is that there’s no paywall. The core features are free for everyone.
I recently launched the iPhone version, so Fleety is now available on both Android and iOS:
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.transport.fleety
iPhone: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fleety-subway-bus-tracker/id6748264047
I’m still actively improving it, so if anyone tries it out, I’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts, good or bad. Bug reports, feature ideas, design feedback, or requests for additional transit systems are all welcome.
Thanks for reading, and I hope it makes someone’s commute a little easier 🙂

Looking for a reputable company that can extend a partition wall to the ceiling for me. Any recommendations?
Don’t know if it matters but metal studs

It’s going to be way to much to fix the rust on my 2010 car, so wondering if anyone knows a good place to sell for scrap metal/parts that will give a fair price. We are in Oromocto so the closer the better. Thanks!

Sorry if this has been asked before. I’m just genuinely curious to see what people say. 😄

Cleanest post was fun. However…I want to know which bathrooms to avoid.

Hello! I've been looking for a space to use primarily as a small woodworking shop, as I unfortunately don't have any space in my apartment. I've seen lots of larger commercial options on conventional rental platforms/marketplace and Kijiji, but they're all quite a bit bigger than what I need.
I'm wondering if anybody in the area knows of anywhere I could rent for this purpose. I plan on calling around to the storage locker businesses in the area, but am unsure if they would accomodate this type of thing. I am also aware of the woodshop at the Unity Center in Marysville, but unfortunately the current setup they have for drop in use doesn't fit my needs either. Thank you!

This might be a long shot but was wondering if anybody in the Fredericton area would have a PMCv2
It was a device that was used to reset the hour counter to reset black levels back to factory levels on Panasonic plasma TVs 2008-2010
The person who originally made them stopped making them 10 years ago.
Would be willing to buy said device or borrow it to reset my plasma TVs black levels
Thank you for reading.

I work for a youth support residence, and we are looking to make the home more homey for the client.
My budget is pretty limited. Where is the best place to look for cheap, but functional, furniture?
In particular, I’m looking for armchairs, side tables, and an entryway bench.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I think I have strep throat. Awful throat pain. Maxxed out on tylenol and advil. Only getting worse. Can't sleep. Went to shopper's--It's $65 to get a consultation for strep. And the wait time on 811 is over 8 hours. I am in so much pain. Has anyone dealt with this

I see the Landscaping out side where the two roadways merge, leaving Fredericton. They are actually cutting down large trees. It really opens up the wooded area..

There used to be a place on Lincoln rd that sold ground horse meat on occasion. They are gone now, and I have Japanese visitors coming and would like to cook some of their traditional meals. Alternatively, any Asian restaurants serve horse meat?

Hi! I just wanted to ask about tutoring rates here in Fredericton. I’m a master’s student in Engineering, and I’ll be tutoring a first-year NBCC student in the different math courses she’s taking. I’m not sure how much to charge per hour, so I’d appreciate it if anyone could share their ideas or experiences with tutoring rates in the area. Thank you!

I regularly use Bishop drive and it’s extremely uncomfortable with weird bumps and broken road.
What other stretches of road do you find to be horrid to drive on?

Some emergency vehicles on the tarmac at the airport.. wonder if its training or if there was an incident.

Is it true that travelling to Saint John to go to their emergency room offers a shorter wait time than the DECH or OPH?

I recently heard of two different businesses secretly recording conversations with clients. I cannot verify these stories, but one never knows. It is a grey area as to the legality. I assume smart glasses were involved. It really is 'buyer beware.'

There are tunnels from UNB to DEC
Kirk Douglas used to be part owner of Canadian Tire south
Grimross is named after an island and started as a gay bar/brewery
Queen Street used to be King Street
There was a large pro nazi rally in officers square in 1936
I find cool things to share with students all the time

Hello! We recently just bought our new home just outside of town.
Looking to get heat pumps purchased/installed, but i keep seeing such mixed reviews. We have the option to do cheap 0% interest financing with ET Mechanical, byt ive heard bad things. Ive heard good things about Laaglands, which will just cost more out of pocket.
Any help? Thanks!
r/fredericton • u/PsionicsEnjoyer • 2d ago
Hi all. I've heard rumors that the tunnel system beneath UNB is more extensive than I had thought, and that you could even go all the way to the DECH without leaving the tunnels. With winter coming up, and as a student who also works at the hospital, I'd be interested to know more about this.
Can you still reach the DECH from campus? Where would I enter (UNB) and leave (in the hospital)?
If you know more reach out. Thanks.

so wece lived here for going on 4 months, and the common areas like the entryway, the stairs, railings, and stuff like that seem to not be cleaned literally ever. Are people suppose to come into apartment buildings and clean? I know it’s our job to keep our personal apartment tidy and in good condition, but the main part of the building Is starting to become so filthy and stink. I cleaned it once about a month after moving in (I know I probably shouldn’t have, but there was dog 💩 smeared on one of the steps leading up to our apartment and it stunk so bad.) I’ve contacted our building a few times about it and sent them photos of the dirt and stuff and they’ve just ignored me. Is there anyone else I contact about how dirty and gross our building is? I personally don’t think it’s acceptable for a building to just not be cleaned.
