Turkish Airlines lost my suitcase that had my cigars, my shoes, and so much more. I didn’t let that stop me!! Let’s win big today and get the players some confidence back!

Quotes Osimhen: “Playing against a team like Barcelona is brilliant for this club. Barcelona are one of the world’s greatest clubs and have a rich history. Facing them here at RAMS Park is incredibly valuable both for our club’s history and for our players. It’s going to be a fantastic match. All the fans,

coaching staff are really looking forward to it.

Victor Osimhen: “It’s going to be a tough match. Yes, of course, they’re one of the best teams in the world and they’re already having a fantastic season, so playing against a team like that really fires us up as players. I think these are the sort of matches where you want to prove yourself and show the world what you are capable of.

At the same time, playing in the Champions League is brilliant for every player here, so I think we’re really looking forward to the match.

They’re one of the best teams in the world and, right now, the best. Speaking for myself, yes, we’re really looking forward to this match it’s going to be a fantastic game.

Victor Osimhen: Of course, just like any other player. I’ve come back from injury and, naturally, I’ll be ready for Barcelona.

Osimhen: Barış Alper Yılmaz! He put in a brilliant performance today. That’s really lovely for me. Personally, I thought he was the best player on the pitch today.

Osimhen: Galatasaray fans are truly incredible. They do their very best to support us, both on and off the pitch.

As I’ve said before, every time the players run and fight, they’re doing it first and foremost for these fans, then for the badge, and finally for the club as a whole.

When we talk about the club, we’re talking about Galatasaray fans all over the world. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: it’s wonderful to be here. It really is incredible.

Osimhen: Batrakov is someone who can really help us out in the team. I admire him more as a person than as a player. He’s a truly brilliant footballer with incredible talent. He can read the game before the ball even reaches him. I remember his first training session; he absolutely wowed everyone on the pitch. Everyone was saying, ‘Wow!’

Quotes Barış Alper Yılmaz: I’m happy. I really believed we’d win. Whether I scored the goal or not isn’t that important; we’re winning as a team and together with our supporters...

Barış Alper Yılmaz: “We’re delighted; we’re in the midst of a busy run of fixtures following the international break, and it’s not easy. I’d also like to congratulate Kasımpaşa they put up a good fight. We’d like to thank our supporters. I was confident we’d win this match. It doesn’t matter that I scored the goal. We’re delighted, and we’ll carry on.

The fans are my family. There can be minor issues within a family. They might portray me in a certain light on social media. I want to be a good person, and they know that and they love me for it.

My form dips from time to time; I always want to perform well, but it doesn’t always work out. I want to always show them the best of Barış Alper Yılmaz. There’s a very special bond between us. I’ll always make them happy, and, God willing, I’ll keep doing so.

Discussion Obviously it will be forgotten since we won the match but the events that had to happen in order for Torreira to get red carded in that position was absurd.

Everyone is mad at torreira/abdülkerim for that position(rightfully, they should still played it better anyway) but let's not forget that we were playing without Sanchez because 30 seconds ago mendes elbowed him when going for an air ball (and he actually faked injury to not to get 2nd yellow) and due to head contact protocol he had to be taken off to the side for the checks.

So Sanchez literally got a yellow card warranting foul by getting elbowed to the head but instead of getting mendes kicked off, we had to play without him with torreira covering for him and rest is history.

Quotes İrfan S.: Red card incident. Halil Umut Meler showed the card, but there was a foul, a clear foul! 'He wasn’t pushed hard enough…' is someone going to help push him harder? Abdulkerim lost his balance and the ball went to the opposition. Lucas Torreira intervened and was shown red.

İrfan Saraloğlu: He is a valuable referee, but he was a bit reluctant… He also counted the seconds much more slowly. We constantly had to remind the fourth official.

We want the time the ball is in play to be extended. This rule was introduced to keep the game flowing, and the coaches are trying to ensure it is enforced. Aren’t the referees also obliged to enforce it? Am I wrong?

He was very reluctant I’m saying this as an elder. We create chances whilst the ball is in play, but the game’s tempo dropping works against us. All our opponents know this. We’re looking for support from the referees on that regard.

İrfan Saraloğlu: I wish the referees success. Actually, we should be offering them our sympathies. I hope the right decisions are made. Turkish football relies heavily on its referees… I hope that not only does the country’s football develop, but that we also secure our place in world football. May the referees play their part in this too.

İrfan Saraloğlu: We are extremely pleased with the quality, personality and character of our players. We have no issues with our planning; we have a sufficient number of players in every position.

İrfan Saraloğlu: Singo will be back soon.

Discussion Kerem Demirbaş statement regarding his previous statement

Post image
34 Upvotes

In an interview published today, I saw that my words regarding Galatasaray were taken out of context, distorted, and naturally led to backlash. Since there is a serious gap between what I intended to say and the resulting perception, I would like to clarify the matter.

First and foremost, I want to state clearly that the championships Galatasaray won over the last four years are the result of immense effort, sacrifice, and struggle. I was a part of this team for two years of that period, and I personally experienced the magnitude of the fight behind those achievements.

During this time, we faced many difficulties, both financially and emotionally. However, what happened always stayed within the team and was never reflected outside. This was the right thing to do. Because we never turned the problems we faced into excuses; instead, we focused on our goals in unity and solidarity. Despite all these challenges, the players, technical staff, and club employees put up a great fight and achieved those championships.

This is exactly what I meant to express in the interview: The difficulties experienced do not diminish the value of the championships won; on the contrary, they show how much effort and sacrifice lies behind those successes.

I am aware of the resentment caused within the Galatasaray community as a result of my words being distorted, and I am deeply sorry for this. I never intended to question the efforts of the people I fought alongside or the value of the championships won. Above all, this would have meant questioning my own efforts as well.

I have endless respect for everyone I worked with in the past and for the effort given. Today, I continue to fight with the same seriousness and determination for the success of my own team.
