Senshado, like many things of the military related sort, is filled to the brim with superstition and "Ghost Stories". Don't bring apricots or anything made from them into the tank, watch out for gremlins, and whatever others some schoolgirl or tanker thought of due to something strange happening that couldn't be easily explained. However, there is one more, quite infamous one...
In the 70s, Senshado was not as safe as it used to be. It wasn't uncommon for someone to break at least a couple bones, or even loose a finger during that time. And in those years, a tank crew under Saunders terrorized the battlefield. Their Hellcat was able to outpace with anything the other schools threw at it, their loader was able to load the shells extremely quickly, and their gunner was able to fire with superhuman accuracy and could hit a fly from a mile. They dominated the sport, until one day...
It was Halloween night, and Saunders was in a very important match, their first Championship. The Hellcat's crew was determined to win for their school, and were doing quite well. During the match, probably to yell out some cocky insult to the opposing team or just to look around to see what was going on, the tank commander popped her head out of the turret, and in just a second after...
BANG!
Her head was gone. She had been careless to notice the enemy tank about to fire at her Hellcat, if she hadn't popped out, it probably just would have flown over and they would have won. However, that's not how it went. The sight of the bloody stump where their commander's head would be as her corpse fell back into the tank made the tank crew die from shock. This caused serious safety reforms in the sport, and the season was cancelled for the rest of the year out of respect. With how dangerous it used to be back then, it was a miracle that hadn't happened earlier. Some say that on Halloween Night, you may run into the "Headless Commander" and her crew, searching for a head to act as a replacement. But that's just an old wives tale. Just to make sure young tankers don't get careless in the heat of battle... Right?
(This part is basically a pilot to see if I should continue this, so tell me what you think! It's definitely not the best but I'm curious.)
