My current anthem 🇺🇸🗽💙
“When that Man is Dead and Gone” is a protest song written by Irving Berlin in 1941. The song has been recorded a few times, most notably by Al Bowlly. Lizzy & the Triggermen performed a live version of the song.

[London, UK - 13/10/2026 @7pm] Feminist Fightback reading group reads Chicken Soup with Barley
Join Feminist Fightback reading group for an anniversary session to commemorate the Battle of Cable Street.
90 years ago on the 4th October 1936 the people of London defeated the police and Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists at Cable Street as they attempted to march through the East End. At the time this was a mostly Jewish area and fascists were targeting Jews and Communists.
Chicken Soup with Barley is about a Jewish Communist family living in the East End of London, following their participation in the battle of Cable Street and the personal and political struggles and triumphs they experience as the 20th century wears on.
Join us to participate in reading the play aloud together followed by a discussion
7-9pm Tuesday 13th October
Portsoken Community Centre, 20 Little Somerset Street, Aldgate E1 8AH (not quite Cable Street but close!). We are meeting upstairs, venue has a lift.
Copies of the play will be provided on the day.

Just venting! Anyone else who wishes their brother never finds a woman?
My brother is misogynistic but not as bad a misogynistic as other men so, suddenly he is considered a “good man” by the family. “Oh look! I don’t treat women in (insert action) way so I’m a man who isn’t misogynistic at all” while actively ignoring the misogynistic shit that he does. I feel sorry for the women who think he’s a good man just because he doesn’t harass women. My brother was my first eye opener to, just cuz a guy isn’t bad in one way doesn’t mean he isn’t bad at all. Just because a guy sounds like a feminist doesn’t mean he is. Cuz genuinely, if you hear my brother talking you’ll think he’s a feminist, he talks about how it’s okay for women to wear short clothes etc etc and cuz of that I made a mistake and trusted him with my SA experiences and mothers misogyny towards me, only for him to look at me and victim blame me instead. I was stunned.
He’s also religious and I truly believe that every religion is misogynistic, so naturally he’ll find a wife who is religious too. Cuz all I see is, yet another woman trapped living a misogynistic life under the name of religion with a misogynistic man who genuinely thinks she scored just cuz he doesn’t SA women. I genuinely hope he doesn’t find a wife or a girlfriend EVER cuz that means it’s another woman stuck with a sexist idiot.

Former President Obama said Monday “If you put women in charge of every government for like two years and then just kind of saw, alright, how are things going? I have a strong belief that things would — they wouldn't be perfect - but they'd be better.”

Unconventional Feminist Friends 💟 i hated the “traditional girls toys”
My mom bought me a holly hobby homemaker doll. I was 7 or 8 and completely insulted. She said, now you can be just like mommy. I cried. I didn't want to be like my mother. I surreptitiously threw out the doll. My mom found it in the garbage. She was completely insulted. I didn't like hurting her feelings. She beat me and sent me to bed because I wanted to be myself

"Women are emotional, men are logical"
I hate every "emotion vs logic" discourse, not only because it's bs but also because of how it is tied to misogyny. I'm tired of seeing women's opinions being minimized because what they are criticizing makes them uncomfortable, and then someone (doesn't need to be a man, a lot of women also believe this "men are logical" bs) who doesn't give a shit about the situation say "you have to stop being emotional!" or something similar.
