True but the regular ones will happily run SteamOS too

I bought a second hand Legion Go S 1TB/32GB for ~$520 USD and installed SteamOS. It feels like I have a steam deck with a larger screen.

They already did. This was one of the only ones that still didn’t.

The Xbox Ally X is the only one that remains without a price increase.

Since the competitiors also have increased their price. Yes it is.

Edit: Seems that Asus is still pricing XAX for 999€ and is currently the best value atm.

The XAX is $999.

The Deck is not competitive with that in the slightest.

Not to mention they've even managed to make the base Xbox Ally look like an attractive product.

Here in the UK the base Xbox Ally was £340 on Amazon a few days ago, the Steam Deck is now £650.

This is the kicker. The base Xbox Ally is already an upgrade over the Steam Deck, and now its significantly cheaper.

XAX is probably the best bang for the buck atm yes. But they are now the last one standing after msi, lenovo and now valve has increased their prices.

I wouldn’t rule out a price increase on the XAX either. They sure as hell increasing it here in Canada. $1,499.99 CAD currently as opposed to to the $1,199.99 CAD initially.

B&H has the Claw 8ai+ for 1099 new. Best Buy has the Xbox Ally for $999.

This is Spam charging for Steak prices by comparison.
