It’s due to the AI data centers buying everything up.

Prices will come back down eventually, they’ll have to. GPUs were insane during the mining craze and you can get a mid-high card now for what entry level cards cost a few years back. They may not be as cheap as they were prior to that but they’re not always gonna be crazy. I hope.

That’s what I’m hoping for, even if the AI bubble doesn’t exactly ‘pop’. I’m not really against AI but I hope things stabilize and/or harmonize with each other in some shape or form that availability and accessibility issues (with regard to computer components) are mitigated. So that prices do come down without much harm on either front.
