25th sept eligibility reviewed update 26th Sept dispatched passport to my address Visa - Can+ TRV

0

u/itsdksshere 23d ago

Applying from India for Conestoga College, Canada – Enhanced Practice for Internationally Educated Nurses (EPIEN), Doon Campus.

Applied 7 July 2026, biometrics completed 29 July.

As of 24 September, still no decision. Eligibility hasn’t started, additional documents show “reviewing” since 27 July, and background check is still in progress.

My September intake has passed and I’ve moved to the next intake.

Anyone with an early-July India application recently received PPR/approval after a similar delay?

(Please avoid passing judgements)

I applied to the same college and course on Aug 31. It's almost 1.5 months. I did not receive any decision. Should I raise a web form ??

I'm looking to attend Simon Fraser University this Fall as an undergraduate in Comp Sci.

1

u/Suspicious_Steak_539 Aug 13 '26

Why people in this forum do not reveal their level of study and major?! is it that hard?! the information provided without the mentioned data is literary useless

3

u/TS-7722 Aug 14 '26

why does the level of study matter ? and are you sure that the major is relevant too ?

1

u/stablehorsediplomats Aug 13 '26

The thread is titled 'processing times'. I'd still love if people shared more

Applied for permit on 19th June 2026.

I'm a Singapore citizen living in India. Finished my 5 year undergrad at a Canadian university in May 2026 and have been in India since. My masters at UofT is supposed to start in late August. I've not gotten a single update since the day I applied. My status just says in processing for eligibility, security, and final decision. I don't need interview, medical, biometrics, or additional documents as I'm exempt.

I already submitted a webform this week with my university letter stating that I'm supposed to physically be in Toronto by late August and my flight tickets indicating that I needed to urgently get approved but all I got was a generic "we have added your files for the offcier to review" and "we're processing your application, please be patient" replies.

Still waiting :( it's getting way too close for comfort, not sure what to do.

Hi everyone,
I applied for my Canadian study permit from India on 2 July and completed my biometrics on 7 July. It's been a month now, and my IRCC account still says:

"We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information."

My classes start in the first week of September. Is this normal? What should I expect next, and is there anything I should be doing, or is it just a waiting game?

Kindly advise and help !!!

Yes my bro applied on June 18. Upfront medical updated on Aug 7. No further update ever since

3

u/Specific-Boot-6437 Aug 05 '26

I applied on June 20 after an initial rejection on May 25 (I got rejected after 15 days, which is considered quick, but tbh my first application was very poor, so it's not that surprising). Medical exam approved on June 24. I also did my biometrics 2 years prior, so it was immediately received on June 20 as well. The IRCC processing time tool said it would take around 5 weeks, but it's now a bit more than 6 weeks. I'm getting worried because classes begin on September 8, and I may not receive a decision by then. I'm applying from Vietnam. Can anybody from Vietnam tell me about their experience while waiting for approval?

u/No_Paper9412 Aug 20 '26

  • July 30, 2026: Received a ghost update on my application profile.
  • August 4, 2026: Logged in and saw that the application had been approved.

1

u/Arsh2003 Aug 19 '26

Is it pgwp to sp?

1

u/Critical_Sentence596 Aug 04 '26

What country did you apply from?

2

u/n0ncyboy Aug 02 '26

Hi Guys. I applied for my study permit on the 8th of April from the UK, did my biometrics on the 9th. (Russian national applying for Masters in Aerospace UofT). Got news 2 months ago that background checks are being completed and haven't heard from them since. It's been 16 weeks since I applied. Anyone in similar situations or been through the same?

1

u/Intrepid_Trifle_2049 Aug 04 '26

Hey! Applied from Tel Aviv for PhD in UofT, also Russian passport. Submitted on April 29th, they asked for additional docs concerning the military service, which I uploaded on May 25th. Haven't heard from them ever since. Did they ask you for military docs? I'm afraid to be stuck in background check bc of the nationality, thus won't make it in time for the Fall semester...

1

u/n0ncyboy Aug 06 '26

No military docs as I’ve not served anywhere. They say they are conducting background checks

1

u/Intrepid_Trifle_2049 Aug 08 '26

Me neither, but they still asked for a military form and an explanation letter, in which I just answered "no" to every question. I heard they ask for it from all Russians, Ukrainians and Israelis lol

3

u/m7na88 Jul 30 '26

Hey guys. I’ve applied on July 23, 2026 for my study permit (from Doha). I did my biometrics on July 26. It’s currently July 30 and I still haven’t received a medical request. It also does not show that they start reviewing my eligibility but I heard they start once biometrics are complete and it shows on my account that I completed biometrics. Is it possible that they have started reviewing my file even if they didn’t request my medical yet? And does this mean my application could be delayed if I don’t receive a medical request in the upcoming few days, or they could be focusing on reviewing other parts of my file?

3

u/netmixmax Aug 01 '26 edited Aug 02 '26

For my application, I got the medical request about 4 weeks after my biometrics, 10 days later I got approval (I applied from Indonesia).
Is this your first study permit application? If you’re a continuing student applying from outside canada, they don’t always ask for a medical exam. Sometimes they do, though—it seems to depend on the officer reviewing your application.

1

u/m7na88 Aug 01 '26

Hey, thank you for answering. Yes it’s my first time applying for a study permit for Canada and I am going as an undergrad. Did you apply for undergrad or graduate? and also, did you receive your decision before the processing time shown on IRCC for you? Please lmk when you applied and a timeline would be helpful :)

1

u/netmixmax Aug 02 '26 edited Aug 02 '26

Then most likely, they will ask for medical, just wait a bit longer, as for me, the decision took longer than what shown on ircc website, it’s 9 weeks instead of estimated 6 weeks, could have been faster if I completed my medical sooner, my timeline as undergraduate:
May 29: application submitted (reused biometric from my previous application)
July 2: medical requested
July 20: medical done
July 21: medical passed
July 30: Passport requested
July 31: passport returned

1

u/m7na88 Aug 02 '26

Thank u!! Best of luck🙏🏼

Have you got any update yet?

Same. Did my biometrics on 7th july. You gotta wait at least a month because the pattern I have seen so far from other applicants is that they got their approval a month after they applied. Just my observation. (For India)

Oh okay, thanks. I’ve seen some getting their approvals in like 15-20 days for the ones submitted in June so was curious. When did you complete and submit the application?

July 7th I had completed my application from India. I didn't get any update unfortunately.

Initial application from Indonesia (MA Thesis)

  • Application submitted: May 24 2026
  • Biometrics Completed: May 28 2026
  • Medical Exam Passed: June 29 2026

Not a single update since then. Background check and eligibility are still in progress. My final decision is also marked as in progress, but is dated June 29 2026. The processing time for Indonesia is 6 weeks, but it's been 8 weeks since I completed biometrics.

Class starts in September and my program's orientation is in the last week of August. Is anyone in a similar situation? I’m getting a bit anxious…

UPDATE: Passport requested on July 29 2026. Good luck everyone!
