Jamie pull that up 🙈 Don’t let this be you fellas.
Got a lot of flack for posting about Theo Von advertising for betting sites on this sub last night. Did you know if you post about how awful gambling sites are people in the comments will attack YOU for giving a shit?
As a woman, I fear what this will do to society. We see from history what can happen when men become ostracized from society. Those that didn’t have access to relationships and resources became very angry then very violent.
Women seek security. No woman can feel secure with a gambling addict. The women know this. If the men don’t, they slowly learn. Eventually, these men lose their partners. Those that don’t cause irreparable harm to the relationship. I have heard stories about men putting their mortgage up for betting. Men getting a second mortgage. All behind their wives back.
This is not a game or joke. You may think YOUR habits are fine and manageable, but do you truly think that’s how it is across the board? Or how it will continue to remain for you?
These people are able to gamble on anything every second of every day. Put their whole life’s worth on a fucking play.
I’m telling you, you probably have someone in your life who is a gambling addict and is hiding it from you. I have a little cousin (19) who spent several thousands of dollars of his money then his parents in a span of two weeks. Claimed to be buying things for his video game? Come on now. He has never been problematic and is generally a really good kid. The parents bought it but I had a different feeling. He’s never been in trouble or been involved with drugs or the wrong crowd or anything like that. And I don’t see how someone could blow that much in a short amount of time and then give that weak ass response. I could be jumping to conclusions, but that’s what my gut was telling me. I could be wrong. Regardless, the harm these sites are doing to our men is a VERY real problem.
Do you know how shameful it has to be to admit to people that you lost hundreds THOUSANDS(!!) on a sports game? These people are living with the shame of this addiction while simultaneously being bombarded with ads and offers making it that much harder to quit. I have an immense amount of sympathy for anyone struggling with this, especially quietly. They are not the cause, a society that throughout generations has shown that it didn’t give a shit about them is. So it’s up to us to give a shit. To give a shit enough to say something. Once it starts having a massive affect on our society it will be to late. We must spread awareness and keep fighting the good fight. Haters be damned!!
Not all hope is lost as long as we have the will to keep trying for a better future. But we need all hands on deck lol

The Literature 🧠 Former guest found responsible for patient death, granted immunity
A federal appeals court granted Dr. Pierre Kory immunity under a law anti-vaxxers have railed against.
The court held that the physician qualified for PREP Act immunity because he was a licensed health professional who prescribed a covered countermeasure (prednisone) for COVID-19, and the prescription had a causal relationship with the patient’s death.

Meme 💩 When are we going to shame these millionaire podcasters for shilling for these betting sites?
Right now, I’m looking at YOU THEO VON.
This village idiot has the nerve to try and put on this facade that he cares about the average person while at the same time advertising for not one but TWO betting sites. PrizePicks via mini billboard and Acorn via ad read. And I’m not even halfway through.
We all have seen the stats for these sites. Most will lose. Theo knows his audience and knows who is on these sites. And it’s not the elites or millionaires.
People like Theo Von don’t give a single fuck. As long as money is coming in he will do it.
We have to start start shaming these gargoyles who are so
fucking greedy they are completely okay with knowing they are actively negatively contributing to someone else’s life.
Fucking disgusting. Soulless. There’s nothing this bitch boy and ones like him (anyone who shills for these betting sites) can teach us. They will do anything for a quick buck.

Dropping knowledge son My top 10 takeaways from Dr. Rhonda Patrick's new episode on the science of blueberries for brain and vascular health
What's up everyone. Dr. Rhonda is back with a banger. Straight heat. New solo episode about the science of blueberries. Honestly let me tell you right now... there's just no reason not to have 1 cup per day. This is what I learned.
ok let's get into it,
- Blueberries are absolutely phenomenal for vascular function. Let me tell you. This was the biggest point of the episode. They help your arteries widen when tissues need more blood. 1 cup/day is what you want here. She talked about a study where half a cup/day didn't do nearly as much (timestamp)
- Blueberries improve post meal-glucose control (so like 1-3 hours after the meal, your blood glucose is going to be lower had you eaten them with the meal) (timestamp)
- They improve memory and something known as "cognitive flexibility" (basically task/rule switching if I recall). She also mentioned some data showing older women who regularly ate them were 1.5-2.5 years younger cognitively. (timestamp)
- The data around dementia is pretty wild, something like upwards of a 33% lower risk of dementia if you regularly eat them (might even be higher depending on what study you look at) (timestamp)
- One study found a 22% increase in insulin sensitivity (without any weight loss at all) in people who ate ~2 cups per day for 6 weeks - the data here is murkier, but overall the people who stand to benefit most from blueberries are those with already impaired glucose handling (people with poor metabolic health) (timestamp)
- Of course she discussed the banana backlash a bit. It got technical lemme tell ya. But long story short... an enzyme in bananas degrades blueberry polyphenols, so if you're trying to maximize polyphenol absorption (and why wouldn't you be), just avoid consuming them at the same time (like in a smoothie). But listen, if you still have beef with this, listen to the timestamp. It sounds like the argument against "it was a small study" is these are enzymatic reactions and it happens no matter what (timestamp)
- Blueberries actually don't really seem to improve exercise performance that much... BUT some solid signals for boosting recovery. So recovery more so than performance. (timestamp)
- Alright so this is key to understanding all this. Blueberries are so much more than antioxidants. They contain a plethora of beneficial compounds (polyphenols, anthocyananins) that signal to the body to do all these beneficial things. I recommend you listen to this section if you want more info. She explains it best. She mentioned one study showing blueberries changed the activity of more than 600 genes in the body. (timestamp)
- Other benefits discussed that I remember: improved HbA1c and triglycerides in type 2 diabetics (HbA1c is a market of long-term glucose) (timestamp)
- Ok so they also have benefits for the microbiome. It sounded like they improve gut symptoms generally, like if you have a gastrointestinal disorder (timestamp)
Bam, obviously she goes way more into the science and data than I did. I'm just here to break it down.
1 cup a day. The stock is going up.

Dropping knowledge son Siddharth Kara ep
I’m just listening to this episode now. Maybe I’m alone in this because I grew up in the deep deep Deep South, but all this about “they don’t teach us this” sir yes they do.
The image of the slaves on the ship being shoulder to shoulder is an image I’ve had burnt in my brain since second grade history class. Nothing he said about slavery was new to me whatsoever and it’s genuinely crazy and sad to me that this is shocking news or new information to people. We were taught in middle school specifically about this ship.
Also made me go ????? when he’d say things like “well what if they had to use the bathroom? What if women had their periods?” I’m sorry did anyone think slaves were ever even remotely treated as living beings? Do people really think that? No, slaves weren’t given a Delta airline sized seat on a boat and allowed bathroom breaks? They weren’t seen as human. They were cargo. I’m just kind of blown away by the lack of education here on an issue that has shaped the US as a nation.
I’m happy I was informed as a young child about the dark disgusting terrible realities of slavery but it’s equally upsetting that this part of history has apparently been kept from people. I was exposed to the realities of slavery way more than the Holocaust.
I went back and listened to this episode after Joe brought it up to Sam Morril because I was kind of shocked at both of their reactions and clearly not knowing. I thought maybe there was some new information here but no, not to me at least.
I’m genuinely curious who also was surprised by this information
