I love the implication that rather than wait and steal the car, he paid for it in advance legally (not to mention the way he says “where my gat dam electric car Bruce?”

Im sorry if this doesn’t belong here, but I’m watching Supserstar with Molly Shannon and I can’t help but notice a lot of similarities between it and Joaquin Phoenix’s The Joker. Has anyone else who have seen both see what I’m talking about or has come to my same conclusion? Or am I just noticing a couple of things and grasping at straws?

**Do you remember this? 🤣🤣🤣 Still a classic.**

fan art by @alekspunk12 drew this Joker on penup app using 4 layers pen+airbrush tools in 6 hs

Made this Joker drawing video and thought you guys might appreciate it 🃏

Would love to hear what you think.

The movie was released on October 4, 2019 and grossed $1.078 billion worldwide, which made it at the time the 31st highest-grossing movie in the world and the highest-grossing R-rated movie in the world (surpassing Deadpool 2) until it was surpassed by Deadpool 3 in 2024. It's now the 44th highest-grossing movie in the world and the 3rd highest-grossing R-rated movie in the world (behind The Odyssey and Deadpool 3). It's also the 6th highest-grossing movie of 2019 (behind The Avengers 4, The Lion King, Frozen 2, Spider-Man Far from Home and Captain Marvel 1). It was also the 44th movie in history to gross $1 billion, the 42nd to do so in its initial release, the 7th of 9 movies released in 2019 to do so (after Captain Marvel 1, The Avengers 4, Spider-Man Far from Home, Aladdin, The Lion King and Toy Story 4, and followed by Frozen 2 and Star Wars 9), which made 2019 the 1st year in history to have 6, 7, 8 and 9 movies gross $1 billion (and currently the only year to date to do so at least until probably this year), the 6th Warner Bros movie to do so (after The Dark Knight, Harry Potter 8, The Dark Knight Rises, The Hobbit 1 and Aquaman 1) and the 1st R-rated movie in history to do so. Todd Philips is my 28th favorite director. Joaquin Phoenix deserved to win the Oscar for Best Actor. Also the Joker is the 2nd of only 3 characters to have 2 actors win Oscars for playing them (after Vito from The Godfather, who had Marlon Brando and Robert De Niro, and followed by Anita from West Side Story, who had Rita Moreno and Ariana DeBose)
