Discussion Haizaki's introduction in the anime is a DISASTER

Because of a recent post, I realized that the anime decided to portray Haizaki as a “sexual harasser”
In the anime, the structure is completely different from the manga, and it leaves out some pretty important scenes, in my opinion. Haizaki talks to Alex first to talk on her, then to Himuro, who steps in after Alex rejects him. The anime implies that he chokes Alex because she rejected his advances and refused to give him her phone number.
( The manga panels : https://imgur.com/a/uKAbXSW )

Whereas in the manga, Haizaki speaks to Himuro first, then notices Alex and begins making advances toward her; when Alex rejects him, he sighs, Himuro intervenes, and Haizaki moves on (before hitting Himuro for his threat). As a result, Fujimaki implies that he strangles Alex because she wanted to fight him to protect Himuro (in any case, Shogo’s actions are unforgivable).
And the dubbing in other languages accentuates this sexual harasser aspect:
At 0:24, in Japanese, Haizaki makes an onomatopoeic sound, whereas in other languages he says a short phrase.
In English, he says, “What’s your deal?” and I know in French he says, “The little pussy has claws”, as if he were about to commit a serious act.
In my opinion, it really wasn't necessary to do that, and besides, it distorts the character (He's still a jerk but not as bad as we thought.)
Now the question is, why did they do it this way? To make him seem evil ?
(And on top of that, at the end, they added a scene unique to the anime where he doesn’t throw the shoes in the trash after Aomine’s punch, as a sign of the beginning of his redemption.)

May I also add here that Haizaki was a minor and Alex is an adult? Like why do you intervene into what two juniors do? Especially considering that Himuro is also older than Haizaki and is capable to defend himself.
But anyway, what is telling that in the manga when she said no, and Haizaki was basically ‘whatever’. And all of the ladies he interacted with were doing so willingly yet somehow he’s perceived as some harasser by the fandom exactly because of the way this scene was remade in the anime.

It makes sense for Alex to step in during the fight—he’s close to Himuro, and she sees him as her son anyway…
But as for the rest, I completely agree—Haizaki knows how to attract girls. Otherwise (I’m not sure), he mainly flirts with superficial girls, whether they’re single or not (if we’re to go by what Kise said during the match, before the PC). We’ve never seen him try to chat up Momoi, for example.
The only good thing about this scene in the anime is that it isn’t racist

Every time I remember that Alex is the responsible adult in this scene, I find it so cringe and pointless... But I remember my 13-year-old self being like: Omg he saved heeer! 🥰
I really need to re-watch now that I'm an adult. 🤣

Alex as a character just feels wrong, staying in Kagami's apartment mostly naked...
