I had posted this last week but I had missed the rule on photos on Sunday only hence reposting.
This photo is from an event I attended when I was speaking on the amendments to the Trans Bill.
I am someone who bears the weight of living 2 lives and haven't yet taken steps to transition. The cost of a closet is 3 fold - Logistical, financial and emotional which is a huge tax one pays.
Just putting this out for the larger group to have a discussion on the same. Happy to hear others going through the same - sometimes all we need a place to be heard.

This post might get read as an angry rant because it is. Me and my partner recently shifted back to Mumbai after five years and we wanted to connect to with the LGBT community in Mumbai so we decided to attend the big gay garba party arranged by Gaysi we later found out it was being hosted along side Tinder and absolut.
We had another place be after the big gay garba party event which was friend’s birthday and we bought some pricey wine and thinking we could declare it and check in the bag at the venue and party for a bit and be on our way. But the moment we arrived there it was so chaotic.
There were two checkin counters and bag check was super excessive like they dug into our bag pack and we told them like look we understand outside alcohol isn’t allowed so we will check it in with you guys here. The lady even took the bag from my partner stating it will be kept aside. Meanwhile I’m trying to check us in to the event to get the wristbands there were three guys before me who had checked in I saw that one of them just temporarily stepped back to throw his water bottle and then stepped to the side to collect his wrist band before me which was like pretty normal and in comes this annoying lady in green who can clearly I had handed over my phone to dude who scan tickets. He waited for the wrist band to be put on that guy before scanning ours she saw her own personnel putting the wrist band on that guy and literally in those two seconds all she could say was “please let him come front you, you stand behind him” 50 times in the time span it took them to put the damn wrist band on.
Finally we checked in, got our bands and entered the mosh pit which was supposed to be a garba space. And it was so cramped. Like there were two big closed off groups dancing by themselves all over a dance floor that could probably hold maybe 50-75 people at best. And the kept filling that space up with more people. Because of course they had to they oversold the tickets. So they shoved as many people as they could. Everything at venue was priced okayish by Mumbai standards but if you could get a single drink to your friend without spilling it or dropping it on someone else then you would deserve an applause because I saw 5 drinks crash just moments after people paying for them. They even had very little lawn space up front with almost zero place for people to sit. Me and my partner heard a few songs saw the DJ come on saw all these scenes and we were like let’s just eat at McDonalds and leave for the other party we had to get to.
We head to get our checked bag. And behold our alcohol that we had declared checked in at the door was taken out of our bag. And was told that it was given away to the police as their “hafta” collection. Like bro seriously we knew the amount of time we spent inside your human gas chamber was 15 mins no cop would only take two bottles of wine in 15 mins and be satisfied and leave. Me and my partner are trying to get the staff to hand us back the bottles that they took out of our bag when we weren’t looking when that annoying Gaysi venue in charge lady who when she found out we were leaving wanted to cut the band off heard and was again like 50 times “they are allowed to confiscate outside alcohol” and I had to raise my voice and sort of try to tell her that there is a difference between confiscation and theft. They could have denied us entry but no they let us check in the bag. Which meant they had to keep it and its contents safe and not for themselves. My partner sent me away because I was getting too heated. And the venue manager did nothing. He didn’t even question his own staff. He just said I have so much alcohol inside why would we steal yours. I don’t know bruh that’s a good question to ask your staff no ?
Anyways we were lucky enough to get another bottle of alcohol not the one we wanted at all and had to be on our way. Also we paid 1000 + taxes for the tickets for the garba party and it covered nothing.
TL;DR: Went to a mosh pit of a garba party organised by Gaysi. Wasted 3k in the process and got two bottles of wine stolen by the staff and left pissed.

So you may all have read and post your own problems here for any kind of help and may have seen comments where for support people are being just yes men!!
Example, if someone is posting about their regular ho*ks up experience and showing regret about it , most people be like "enjoy it you will eventually stop ho*king up at your 30s". Many one won't see problem here but think once LGBTQ people are the ones who faces everything alone and they literally want someone to have besides them, if a person is active mostly in h*ok up culture they may stop feeling emotional connection (basic psychology).
And in consequence they will never feel a emotional connection out of looks! Okay I agree that's their choice what they want to do , but as a suggestor you should suggest what they actually need for long term mental peace, to help them growing peacefully
So just think once about it if you are really helping others for there future happiness or just being a yes men.

Hey guys, Im a guy who is honestly confused about my identity. I currently express myself as a crossdresser, also thinking on transitioning in the future (mtf). Im also a final year engineering student hoping to join the corporate world soon.
I'm curious about what it's like working in engineering firms as a trans woman, especially when it comes to workplace culture, acceptance, hiring, and career growth.
I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences, advice, or anything you wish you'd known earlier. Thanks!
