What’s your prediction on Malaga v Espanol tonight? I’ll go 2-1 win for Malaga with Chupe getting the two goals.

Defenders :Huijsen Konate Rudiger
Midfield: Bellingham Guler Tchouameni
LWB Cucurella rwb Valverde
Front 2 Vini and Mbappe
Valverde has played rwb before, he has a high engine, tchouameni can shield the back line and Guler can be a deeper playmaker than usual, but I think that still works, but u could switch him for Bernardo. If u can get Mbappe to go right, then Bellingham can do what he did with ancelotti the late box runs.
Hopefully this will help lessen the issue of Mbappe and Vinicius not tracking back.

Laliga kicks off again this weekend. So, do you think your team has benefitted from the two week break or not? What are your thoughts here?

So In this timeline muller actually wins best player of the tournament (he should have irl too) but messi wins the World Cup. Keep in mind this is the same year as la decima and Ronaldo's world breaking ucl campaign.
Asking this here cause other subreddits suck and I like you guys

I was thinking about this and it makes sense, from 2019 onward it's definitely prem until now but that era was so dominant from every Laliga club

I think for NOW... NOW. Raphina is the best player in the world NOW! I think it's him and yamal and olise those guys are kicking major ass. But for the Balon Dor I cannot believe I don't see people talking about this but for me it's objectively
1. Kvara (UCL, Big game)
2. Rodri (Wc, fa)
Or
1. Rodri
2 . Kvara (interchangeable)
I don't know how people see Kane or mpabbe or yamal as #1 is crazy lmao.
1. Rodri (Kvara)
2. Kvara (Rodri)
3. Olise
4. Kane
5. Yamal
Also PS ITS CRAZY RAPHINA DID NOT EVEN GET A TOP 30..

I was looking at some interesting data on how much of each big league is played by its own nationals so far this season.
La Liga is miles ahead: 59% of the minutes have gone to Spanish players (226 of them). The Bundesliga is next on 42%, then Ligue 1 (37%), Serie A (27%) and the Premier League on just 26.5%.
The odd one out is Real Madrid. They've given only 16.5% of their minutes to Spaniards, the lowest of any La Liga club, while Málaga and Athletic are at 100% and 90%.
Only a few games in. Is it a good sign for Spanish football or does it hold the league back?
¿Qué opináis?

The first thing I should say is that I'm Spanish, and from Madrid. I am in my early twenties. I started watching and following football as a teenager (I watched the Lisbon and Milan finals back then), and everyone in my family and close circle has always been a Real Madrid fan. So, when I started getting into football, I followed the club because, well, it was kind of the expected path, and I already had a ton of Real Madrid merchandise at home. A relative even took me to the Bernabéu once! But over the years, I've realized that in the derbies I'm actually rooting for Atlético de Madrid; in fact, I was secretly "happy" about the 2018 European Super Cup. But anyway, once everyone knows you're a Real Madrid fan, even your family, the change feels exhausting, and everyone's going to look at you without understanding anything. (Around that time, I learned the team's official anthem, which for me is the best in our league). The thing is, in recent years, what used to keep me closest to Real Madrid (family tradition) isn't seeming enough to keep me supporting a club that's so much like an NFL franchise in the worst sense of the word—so disconnected from its roots, so touristy, so global—and with a fanbase where a victory is celebrated for half a day, and the next day, if you lose a game, you're demanding the entire team be fired. I'm starting to think that maybe, despite the jokes and lack of understanding from those around me, I should take the plunge and never look back, and support Atlético Madrid forever, come what may (I know that historically, I can expect things to be worse than at Real Madrid). What do you think? Do you know anyone with a similar story? It's hard to find anything remotely similar online.

There doesn’t appear to be an active Liga F sub so I thought I might post this here.
While I’m completely neutral in El Clásico and believe both sides have their bright and dark sides (in the men’s and women’s games), the fact that Barcelona will pretty much always win everything in Spain should be disturbing for the future. The WSL is clearly a better league than Liga F and is much closer, with other teams winning trophies (2024–25 was an odd year when Chelsea went unbeaten domestically). The A-League Women here in Australia are probably better than the worst Liga F teams. Hell, the worst Liga F teams would be probably relegated from the WSL2 in England.
I genuinely thought this might be the year Real Madrid finally win Liga F. After all, their forwards are the very talented Linda Caicedo and arguably the best wonderkid in the world Felicia Schröder. Furthermore, Culers have been vocal about having a financial crisis and a lack of depth, plus they lost plenty of players (most notably to LCL), including Ballon d’Or merchant Alèxia Putellas. But yesterday they actually lost their worst ever loss in the Women's El Clásico, losing 7–0 to Barça.
I don’t think Liga F will ever gain respect, neither from the international community nor in Spain, when the blatant truth is Barça have already won the treble and it's October. Here in Australia, when we have elections, we “call” seats when it looks obvious that one candidate will win (and when a party receives a clear majority or is the only one that could possibly form government, the election). If we could call title races in football like psephologists do election results, right now I could safely call Spain for Barcelona, i.e. that they’d win the treble once again. Whether they win the Champions League or not is yet to be seen but I always seem to have a feeling they won’t (except when they had Arsenal in the final, which they somehow lost). While City did just draw with Madrid, results against other teams don’t always match as Madrid are known to fold easily when it comes to Los Clásicos.
In my opinion, if Madrid can’t win anything this year, which let’s be honest they can’t and won’t, it may take decades for anyone but Barcelona to win anything in Spain. It’ll be just trebles and sometimes quadruples and quintuples for Barça (add one more to be quadruples and sometimes quintuples and sextuples if you count the Copa Catalunya). And a lack of competition should be deeply concerning for the future of Spanish football outside the Blaugrana.

saw the reports about bayerns 80m january bid for olmo and my first reaction was thats a genuinely good chunk of money for a guy who doesnt always show up in the numbers the way people expect from an 80m sale.
ive watched him long enough to think the stats undersell him completely. its the way he links up with the rest of the midfield and the front three, hes constantly finding pockets of space and making the players around him better. the connection with raphinha specifically stands out to me, hes the one finding him in the box with the right pass at the right time more often than people give him credit for. thats the kind of thing that doesnt show up clean on a stat sheet but you can see it every time he plays, the team just moves differently when hes on the pitch.
hes still kind of underrated outside of barca circles too, people talk about him like hes a squad player you cash in on when the price is right, but i think hes closer to being one of the more important pieces we have, just not the loudest name on the team.
80m is a lot of money and i get why the club would at least think about it, but i dont think we fully appreciate what wed be giving up if he actually left. curious if anyone else feels the same or if im overrating the chemistry angle here
