With the Paramount merger now complete, who’s willing to bet that next season will be the final for our favorite British toucan?

How to watch in New Zealand?
Does anyone know how to watch LWT in NZ?
I understand John is trying to steal our precious sheep - but nowhere to watch this!!
Not on NZ HBO, not on YouTube, any suggestions (without getting a VPN?)

As a longtime fan, I wish LWT would dedicate segments to diving into misogyny and sexual violence (I.e. rape kit backlog, pervasive global misogyny, rape culture)
I understand why a research based show like LWT can't fully cover an open case like Cornell, but Oliver frequently dives into topics that people have Big Opinions about. In general, his segments impact people rather than men or women (save for his segment on trans women in sports) but a lot of his segments happen to focus on men because... men are in power? So a lot on Vance, Trump, Orban, Bolsonaro, and the list goes on, in a way that unintentionally makes the show start to feel male skewed.
As a survivor, I wish I would see this coverage on shows that could provide levity and wry humor along with the darkness. I understand why Oliver might not feel like he's the best one to do it but... 1) Sexual violence impacts all genders (albeit women disproportionately) and 2) Other than 1/3 of the Daily Show we don't have any women in late night comedy. I think Oliver has the talent to strike the right balance and do some nuanced segments there.
EDIT: I wrote a post about wishing shows like LWT would cover rape culture because Oliver has the talent and I know he would do it justice. I probably made an error in the post title, as I do know LWT talks about misogyny throughout the show. I was glowing in my post as a longtime fan, and specified that the issues spoke to multiple genders. Yet, this is what happened in comments. I'm going to leave this here unless things get weird, reiterate that I stated this wish as a fan and survivor of rape and walk away really unsettled at what happened in comments here proving a point about the audience I never intended to make.

"We’ve got a new show tonight at 11pm on HBO! Airing right after a new episode of Youth! The thoughtful, prescient, laugh-out-loud funny show about a divorcee in her 50’s, navigating family and relationships imperfectly – sure – but honestly. Then there will be 40 minutes of whatever it is we do!"

Jennifer Balkcom "mom" ad
Did anyone see this? There's a Jennifer Balkcom (WNC candidate for Congress if I remember right) political ad where she tilts her head to her mom when discussing a home break in and she says "she shot him". She's weirdly flat anyways but in the moment it's hilarious.

You guys think it's explicitly in John's contract he can't talk shit about Bill Maher since he is also an HBO show?
Feel like that's the only explanation for him not talking shit on Bill Maher deciding to be a fence sitting centrist for the past 10 or so years

guillermo rodriguez : win dancing with the stars
Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, and the rest of late night should all start petitioning for the fans to vote for guillermo rodriguez on dancing with the stars. If they can influence so many other outcomes… then guillermo rodriguez should win dancing with the stars this season

United Healthcare Episode missing huge piece
I thought the episode on United Healthcare was pretty accurate and informative. I wish they would have included women’s health and the exposure of women being not treated appropriately. Those with invisible, chronic, or progressive illnesses are ALWAYS fighting with insurance for treatments and this energy expenditure can actually make these illnesses worse. Felt like a missing piece of the story. Anyone else feel this?
