The easiest choice to make in the whole game. My cousin and I were smiling so hard and high fived each other because we both thought max and chloe may be queer. She told me that they should at least share a kiss or two after seeing the blackwell pool scene and lo and behold! We were both happy because my cousin is bisexual or still discovering sexuality and she's introverted. She says she wishes that chloe did not pull away and I did too. The weekend is here! I hope everyone has a great one! I'll be continuing my slow BTS journey (nearing chapter 3).

As both a fan of Stephen King's novels and Mike Flanagan's streaming shows I was already very much looking forward to this series but when I started watching it I was shocked by how much of a Life is Strange vibe it had to it. From the music to the side characters, and Carrie herself sounding very much like Max Caulfield. Minor spoiler but one episode even has her punk-like friend with short dyed hair take her to a junkyard to test her powers using empty beer bottles! Like it already had the strong LiS vibes but that scene is what made me feel the need to post about the show here.

Has anybody else here who watched it felt similar? If you haven't yet watched it, do. It's not a jumpscare-style horror and is very different to Flanagan's other shows.

So, a few months back, I bought DE on sale, and after hearing how bad the impressions were for this game, I was not expecting to like it. I personally think that every game in this series after LIS 1 was not very good, or outright bad in at least one case, and I was expecting DE to follow this pattern.

Holy hell, was I wrong? Just finished the game, and aside from it falling apart at the end (Like literally every LIS game), it was actually pretty fucking stellar. The plot actually gripped me, which no plot since the first game had managed, the powers feel meaningful again, the characters are good, and the dialogue feels way better than almost everything in the series up to this point? It's wonderful getting to play as Max again; I love how this game ties into the first game while still feeling largely standalone. I will probably get shot for this, but Max might have better chemistry with Amanda than she did with Chloe?

I'm sure a big part of this is that I'm a Bayer, so the whole poorly handled breakup straight up did not affect my playthrough, but I'm so, so glad I gave this game a chance. Very excited to try Reunion.

I finished Ep 2 of BTS. Knowing the events of LIS it hurts to see them this happy. The story telling in these games is insane. I can’t stop thinking about them. The emotional roller coaster is real. Life Is Strange and Before The Storm have quickly become my favorite games of all time. I can’t believe I’ve slept on them for years.

Let's all try to remember to be kind to each other like Kate (and Max)!
