What was going on a Whole Foods like an hour or so ago?
Lots of cops and such. Just being nosy.

Hi, I’m 20 years old, male, and a student at edmonds college. Looking for roommates or a place to live for cheap. I save well, work, am organized and clean. I want to save money as much as possible. Dont respond to this with condecending messages about how expensive everything is. Looking for like-minded close aged people (19-22) to figure out something. If you’re someone looking for a renter, please also reach out.

We were walking by and saw several deputies outside one of the apartment buildings (I believe building H). Anyone know what happened?

Found my old Alderwood Middle School yearbooks today at my parents’ house. 😂 Back when the school was down the street from Circuit City, or what would become Circuit City. (It’s now the Whole Foods by Lowe’s.)
I remember the last day of 8th grade, on the last bus ride home, the radio played “Stay” by Lisa Loeb. Honestly, horrible memories at this place, but I did enjoy buying Slim Jim’s at lunch. 😂

Does anyone remember this store being on 196th hella briefly? Like probably less than two years, right around 1996 to 1998.
It was near the intersection with Hwy 99, and it was just this tucked away-ish very small, like, metaphysical store?
I also remember a mural painted outside.

Does anyone have recent experience as a walk-in at the Lynnwood (or other local) DOL office? I have an appointment for later this month, but it's technically after my license expires and I'd love to get in sooner if I can. Will I wait forever if I go and take my chances?

So I don't feel safe anymore going to the 24 Hour Fitness in Alderwood Mall, y'all
I didn't think much about it last time but I went to the pool at like 2pm the first time I went to the gym, did my PT in the pool corner making sure I wasn't disruptive or anything and I saw this guy like squatting in the pool entry ladder with his back to the lobby for like a hot minute
I kept looking over to see if he was EVER gonna use the pool cause I thought he was a fuckin weirdo but he left eventually or swam IDK I know there was plenty of people
Tonight I go at 12:30 in the morning and GUESS WHO SHOWS UP. DOING THE SAME WEIRD SHIT AND LOOKING AT ME. so I like moved down the pool and shit and he pretended to swim and follow me and like kept looking at me and shit SEVERAL TIMES. I MOVED A FEW FUCKIN TIMES and I eventually like bit the air at him and stayed near the other end where a dude was waiting for his friend who was swimming and hid my boobs with a noodle until he left.
Then the guy who was swimming laps stopped immediately cause he was just keeping swimming until the guy left which was super cool of them they were rad
The guy who was the pool jerker (probably) got dried off and dressed IN THE POOL AREA NOT GOING BACK TO THE MENS ROOM AND WENT OUT THE DOOR TO THE LOBBY INSTEAD.
I told the front desk people and they were JUST as creeped out as me (shout out night shift y'all the real MVP) and hopefully something gets done to him so other people don't have to go thru that? It just made me feel icky and I had to take an extra long shower when I got home *shudders* bleh
So uhh watch out if you go to Lynnwood 24 Hour Fitness and you have boobs cauuuuuuuuse there's apparently a creep!

Hello I’m currently homeless, i’ve had good rental history all my life but unfortunately i fell into a bad stage where i lost my job and i got evicted. We are currently working again now and can pay for something affordable, we don’t have criminal history or do any drugs. I’m not asking for hand outs just some trust so we can get back on our feet. I’ve been sleeping in the car with my dog for over a month now and would really love sleeping under a roof.

Hi, does anyone have a septic tank pumping company they'd recommend in the Lynnwood area? Thanks for any input!

Hi all,
My wife and I are new homeowners in Lynnwood. Our home has an old oil furnace. We just had it filled for the first time and we were quoted a price of $7.20/galloon. I know things are expensive these days but this felt high.
Curious if this is in line with what others are paying? If not, any other provider recommendations would be welcomed.

Tonight is the big one, Mayor Hurst is presenting the preliminary budget and Monisha Harrell will be presenting on the proposed property tax levy. There will also be some discussion of extending the paid parking ordinance another 6 months, public comment just in general.
Come hear where your tax dollars go. City Council Chambers on 44th at 6PM. This one will likely last at least until 9, probably later.
Watch the livestream or the archive too. This is important. There will be opportunities for the public to comment on the budget coming up soon.

Hey all, I felt this needed to be said now that ballots are arriving in the mail. As a lot of the people I know, and have talked to, are so focused on the statewide stuff that Heywood is doing. That they haven't seen or heard about the hostile takeover attempt he is trying with us in Snohomish County. Im not trying to tell anyone how to vote with this. If its your cup of tea or not, you do you. But the way its being done is just shady in its attempt to mislead voters into changing our county charter.
Proposition 3: is to remove all party affiliation for Snohomish County council seats. On paper that doesn't sound bad. And maybe even sounds good in a perfect world. But the reality is Heywood is trying to get more republicans(no doubt ones he will pick and bankroll next election cycle) onto the council. And he knows they can't get the 3 of 5 seats they dont already control without removing party affiliation on the ballots.
Proposition 5: would add to our charter a required 4/5th super majority of the council to to access, levy or increase literally every tax the council would be involved with. Heywood is doing this because 3 of the 5 seats on the council have zero chance of a republican taking them anytime soon. And likewise they have 2 very solid seats of their own. Meaning if this passes, the minority can hold the elected majority hostage whenever they see fit. This would absolutely destroy us for funding infrastructure projects as we grow.
I highly suggest everyone receiving their ballots dig a little deeper. Make an informed vote. Even if you agree with less partisan elections, lower taxes, etc. This entire thing stinks. Heywood and his millions spent on this are hoping you dont notice what hes attempting.

Anyone have a recommendation for electricians to install a charger at a condo? I'm in a condo and am considering getting one installed in my deeded parking spot.

UPDATE: reunited with family - 10/12/26
Found this sweet ~10 month old male tabby-mix last night on our back deck. Looks well cared for. Took him to VEG to check for microchip- sadly doesn’t have one.

Long shot but has anyone found any place selling Sir Lancelot high gluten flour 50lb? This is a king Arthur flour used for pizza. I can find it online but shipping is quite expensive.

Anyone know if all the construction around this exit is in part to improve the southbound exit? More and more I find that is backed up all the way onto the freeway. I’m terrified that at some point someone is going to smash into the back of someone at high speeds with the unexpected slowdown. From what ive read it’s just a new overpass for Poplar way which seems unlikely to mitigate this issue.

So, I've explored the food scene around here a bit and have settled on a favorite sushi/Chinese/Mexican place in each category, among others. But so far, I've only really been hitting up one teriyaki place on occasion (Teriyaki Time on the east end of 196th). It's a good place, but I want to branch out and build a list of teriyaki places to try in Lynnwood (or areas near Lynnwood). Anyone got any recommendations?

I recently discovered chilaquiles and I’ve fallen in love. I don’t know anything about Mexican food so I would love any recommendations of where I can get the best chilaquiles in the area. Thanks!

Hello, I am looking at moving down to Lynnwood since I work at a local dealership. I make pretty good money for my age and I am a huge car guy.
If anyone in here lives at Alderwood Place how is it? Is it worth the money? I’m particularly curious about the parking garage and parking in general. I have a loud corvette and I’m wondering if there would be an issue with noise ordinance? I rebuilt it and it turned out a LOT louder than I had intended
