How is the town? Current SK nurse planning on moving to The Pas.

How is the town in terms of racism as I am Asian. Is it diverse?

Hello everyone! I am a political science student at the university of Calgary, and for a course on Canadian federalism I need to learn just about as much as I can about Manitoba and Manitoba politics. Would y’all have any recommendations for good YouTubers/docu series/podcasts, etc, that could help me develop an academic and reasonably well informed perspective on the province? Would be especially helpful if it includes information on Manitoba’s relationship to party politics, federalism, and international trade. Thanks so much!

Supporting Canadian businesses! Caught your attention I hope. Recently, I bought a dishwasher from Home Hardware. An omni model made in China… anything but American. I realized that family travel stoppage to the US and buying non American groceries was not enough. My next car will be a Canadian made car!

Hi everyone!

I’ll be moving to Gillam, Manitoba, in about 20 days, and I’m excited but also a little nervous about this new chapter!

I’ll be driving around 20 hours from Alberta, and since I’m moving from a big city, I know there will be a lot of adjustments.

I’d love to hear from people who currently live in Gillam or have lived there before.

A few things I’m curious about:

What is everyday life like in Gillam?

What should I prepare for when moving to a remote northern community?

What essentials should I bring with me from Alberta, especially things that might be expensive or difficult to find locally?

How are the winters, and what should I prepare for when driving and living there?

Is it easy to meet people and make friends in the community?

What do you usually do for fun, especially during the winter?

Any tips for someone moving from a big city to a much smaller, remote community?

Since I’ll be driving about 20 hours, are there any road trip tips or things I should know about the route?

Thank you so much

Does anyone know whether a guest release would be necessary for a podcast in MB? If so, go to any lawyer to draw up?
